I absolutly LOVE this movie. It's tied for second in my list, but it's all around awsome. Howl is both funny and tricky and Sophie's a great lead. Calcifer is so funny! Also, though it's nothin like the book, I love it and the book about the same.

I skimmed through the book the other day at Barnes and Noble and you're right! The book didn't sound anything like the movie xp It looked like a good book though...I regret not getting it. At least it gives me an extra 5 bucks to pay for the dvd that'll be coming out whee

I also so love this movie! Tied in third with Laputa for me. But I suppose that the dubbing ruined it... Sophie's voice was awful. But that old fat lady's was awesome. 4laugh She's definitely my favorite character. I forgot her name... was she Suliman? I think I voted wrong in the pool. sweatdrop

It's okay, it won't make much difference when the guild is full of people. twisted
I remember I giggled (silently) when Howl was running around naked. heart

I couldn't laugh loudly, my mom was trying to sleep by my side. xd She wanted to watch it because she loved Chihiro, but she is too much of a dub-hater to endure the annoying voices.

lol, my mom pratically made me watch Sen to Chihiro. It was like this: Mom: Helen! Lets go to the movies today! Me *wanting to use the computer*: stare Which film? Mom: It's something about a girl that goes on a trip and her parents become pigs! It's an animation. Me: That seems so childish! I'm NOT watching it! Mom: It's not! The newspaper says it's good! Me: I'm not watching it. Mom: Then you won't use the computer today. Me: gonk Okay, I'm going!
My mom sucks at summaries. xd "girl that goes on a trip and her parents become pigs"... really...

I absolutely loved Howl's Moving Castle. I saw it one Saturday night at the Palme D'Or and fell in love with it at first sight. My two friends went with me and because we were the only ones in the theatre we were able to laugh loudly and hold a sort of running commentary.
I had to explain alot. ^_^'
I heart Miyazaki
