This is one of the greatest movies I have ever seen. It's just so beautiful and gross at the same time. I wish I could find it on DVD, but it's rented out everywhere right now.

lol "Gross?" Yeah, I guess it gets that way (particularly with the head of the Forest Spirit). Have you tried just buying it at a video store like Suncoast?
I remember being so obsessed with this movie when I first saw it...I'd watch it every morning before going to school...then I'd bug my friend to let me buy his dvd off him at lunch...Ah, good times heart Thank goodness I have it now though.

I LOVE Mononoke Hime! heart I remember I was really surprised at the awesome animation... Especially when the Forest Spirit transformed in that monster-whose-I-forgot-the-name. That was just so beautiful. 4laugh

It did a little (the whole "stars" inside his body thing)...I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't though. Sounds like Ghibli would really ttempt something like that, especially with Miyazaki as the director heart

Fitting CG in a film made with traditional animation is really hard, but they did a very good job. Many of their movies have CG, ne?

You can buy it at Suncoast and even Borders has it... As a matter of fact, I think Suncoast had a sale on Hayao Miyzaki movies last time I went, although I don't know if they're still on sale.
