How did you become a fan? Who got you into his work? What is your favorite movie and book? How many movies or books do you own?

I was at a sleepover at my friend's house. we were going to watch a movie and she's like "lets watch Howl's Moving Castle." I was sorta resistant, cause the name was sort of weird and I really wasn't sure if I would like it. Then she said she wanted to watch it cause she just rented it and she had previously seen Spirited Away and insisted it was really good. So we watched it and I got obsessed. I brought all the other movies home to watch too, with Spirited Away being my second Miyazaki movie i saw. I drew my siblings into the obsession too.
I own right now - Howl's Moving Castle, Spirited Away, Nausicaa, Castle in the Sky, Totoro and Whisper of the Heart.
I still want- Pom Poko, Princess Mononoke, Only yesterday, My Neighbors the Yamadas, The Cat Returns, Tales from Earthsea, On your Mark, and (when it comes out) Ponyo On a Cliff

I first saw Kiki's Delivery Service when I was but a wee lass (xD) and I couldn't remember it at all. Then, during the Month of Miyazaki on Cartoon Network, I saw Castle in the Sky. I loved it because my sister thought that Laputa looked like brocoli. Then, I went to Best Buy to buy it, and the assistant guy said "We also have the newest movie, Howl's Moving Castle" but I just got Castle in the Sky. But, oh, the glory! I went to the library and found--ta da!--Howl's Moving Castle! Read it, fell in love with it, rented the movie, bought it, watched it everyday for about a month, read the sequel, hated it. Howl's Moving Castle, all time favorite book/movie combo. I presently own Howl's Moving Castle, Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, Lupin III: The Castle of Cagliostro, My Neighbor Totoro, Castle in the Sky, and Whisper of the Heart. Plus two copies of Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones and Castle in the Air, also by Diana.
