I... don't really have any. sweatdrop Um... usually we back gingerbread cookies for Santa and cover them in yummy frosting. ^-^ *Yum!!!* We don't get the privilage of opening a present on Christmas Eve. We open all of them the next morning. Oh! We have a calender with a tree on it, and everyday we get to put a little ornament on the little tree every day and Christmas Eve is the last day. So how about the rest of you? What do you guys do for Christmas?

We go over to my grandma's house and make tamales.
I guess I've made my ethnicity blatantly obvious.
Aside from that, we don't really have many traditions. We do the whole tree/stockings/presents thing, and some years my mom buys an advent calendar that my three sisters and I share (it works out well because there's an equal amount of chocolates for each of us).
But yeah...that's it. neutral

We read the Christmas story in the Bible and watch A Christmas Story on T.V.
Mom, pulling out all the stops, cooks for long periods of time and catches A Christmas Story in chunks throughout the day since it plays for 24 hours.
We already opened one present Christmas Eve and we opened the rest in the morning.
Then we eat a HUGE dinner. This year it's Beef Stroganof!

Christmas Eve, we have a huge family party and Santa comes over; you know, the whole Sloppy Joe!
Then, come Christmas morning, we go to my grandparents' house and have abelskeevers (does anyone know what they are yet?)! Yum! Then we have brunch and hang out for the rest of the day!

Oh! Well, abelskeevers are pretty much just spherical pancakes. They are pretty much balls of sourdough pancakes. They're not exactly the same (they're Danish), but that's how I have to describe them...
Most of the time, they have raisins, but I don't like 'em that much. Raisin-less is the way to go!

Christmas at my house actually starts on the 20th... all the kids put out their special christmas shoes, Pere Noel comes each night and leaves candy in the shoes. The 23rd, we have a huge christmas party with my extended family and do that whole white elephant thing or secret santa... depends on the year. Christmas Eve we have a huge ham dinner, then open a present that always happens to be PJs.
Christmas morning Pere Noel has come and left the actual toy presents! we always have blueberry muffins and crepes, then we open the presents that were under the tree. After that it's down to my grandpa's to visit and eat sandwhiches and snack foods. My mum usually makes some sort of French dish that she surprises us with when we get home for dinner. Always excellent and then no Christmas is complete without Buche de Noel for desert ^^
