hi i'm new & this is the first post i've done on anything well... ever. so if it doesn't come out right, my appologies. but anyway...
does anybody know exactly what causes alucard to change into the huge gargoyle statue upon becoming petrified (aka. stoned)?

That happens randomly, if I remember correctly. It's just one of those easter eggs you can find in games. At least that's as far as I know... mrgreen

ya that's what i figure to. i was just hopeing there was a way to force it out. i keep trying to tell people about it but it would be a lot easier to just show them.

Yeah, but I don't think there is a way to make it happen. After all, there isn't a gargoyle item you can equip or something to "force it out" like you said. Is there? mrgreen

Well, there isn't an item that has a description that would make you think it could work for that very purpose. And I should know cuz I got all the items in the game (drop items & store items). If SotN had the same feature as Portrait (where you can actually account for each and every item there is), I could be absolutely sure I got everything, which I think I do. mrgreen

Secret Boots? You mean the ones that increase Alucard's height? Cuz that's really all they do! The merely add a couple of pixels to his height. It's barely noticeable... rolleyes
