i heard rumors that in '09 there will be a halo movie, and i wanted to know if its true, because if it is id go see it in a heartbeat.
and besides, what big-budget actor would put on a mark VI suit.

This has been going on for years
Right now, the project is dead, but i really would like to see it come back and they do the movie. I would really love watching a Halo movie, sadly, things don't look good for the movie
And Vin Diesel would make a great chief

i'd hella ******** go se it! im already planning on watching it with ALL of my halo fan friends. but i wouldnt really ant a big buget actor. m.c. is a unkonwn hero. nobody really knows what he looks like. i think it would ruin the plot if you actually saw him. but maybe samuel l. jackson as a marine?

wtf? why the hell is this ******** project dead!!! they have tons of money from the games and they can come out with it in '10 for all i care! i want a damn movie...they made resident evil...

Its not dead they just replaced the director who kept making the movies budgets extremly high.

No the movie is dead as of now, the script had to be changed the director was fired and Peter Jackson walked from the project because of lack of budget and lack of commitment to the project. Plus the writers strike is effecting any progress it may or may not have so right now don't expect and '09 release but more towards a 2010/ 2011 if there is to be any release of a movie of Halo

Yeah I'm Sergeant Mother f-fing Johnson, and I'm so f-fing sick of the covenant ruining my vacation, when I could have been home eating some g-dam bbq! The must love the smell of badass... XD

If anyone puts ANY big budget actor in the role of MC or in any prominent role then the movie will be a complete failiure. End of.
Besides - MC only has a cameo role in the movie - if anyone reads any of the interviews with the Bungie staff, it was either Sketch or Joe (cant remember which) confirmed that MC would be a supporting member of the cast - not the main char.
Basically - you put any big A list actor in - the movie fails. You show the MC's face - the movie fails.
