;] Anyone learn how to play Travis Barker's mix of beats for the song? I found it pretty spiffy!

Ninjagriffon Soulja Boy hurts my ears. And Travis Barker isn't that good. I'm curious, how are you qualifying that statement? I may not be a fan of that band, but every performance I have heard of that group has yielded a tight performance. What qualities are you using to claim he isn't good?

I'm not really qualifying that statement much, it's just a bias against rap on my part. He's competent, but I haven't seen anything to make me think he's really good.

That youtube video is awesome lol super aggressive yet simple. I learned it and my guitarist learned the guitar part and sometimes between songs in our set we play it, the crowd loves it every time. Personaly, I don't like the song much, but it's all good.

Yeah, it's more I don't like the song than I don't like his drumming.

personallly i thought the drumming he did made it more tolerable than usual, but i still wasnt thrilled. Get Neil Pert to make a solo to that song... I'd buy for sure! lol. but, no. i havent learned it... sorry.

Eh... I think Travis Barker is EXTREMELY overrated. He's good... but he's nowhere near as good as everyone praises him to be. I remember looking up a drum solo of his, and it was literally single stroke rolls on the snare and tom for like 2 minutes. No accents, just straight up single stroke rolls. It was actually hard to watch.

Ya i've seen it, it's pretty cool. I don't like the song but like someone said before, his drumming makes it more tolerable. He puts like his whole body weight into the cymbal hits! has anyone ever seen that from anybody else??

What are you using to quantify someone as being "good?" He is what I would call a good drummer. Bu when I say it here I mean he's good but not in the technical sense, in the sense that he can come up with a very catchy, very fun to play and very good to listen to beat. Sometimes speed and mathematic correctnous aren't everything in a drum beat.
