Welcome to Hollywood, home to the rich and famous, the glamorous and the scandalous, the stars and the struggling. The city where you can either make it or break it.

Are you a movie star? A musician? A model? A waitress? A popstar? A personal assistant? A photographer? An heir? A bum? A fashion designer? A caterer? An agent? A hopeful looking for your big break? You decide.

It is most likely that you will be living in the Chateau Marmont. The Chateau is right on Hollywood Boulevard, next to several shops and Studio 28, where movies are made, photo shoots happen, recording studios are housed, etc. Odds are you will be working there or close by.

No Marysueing or Godmoding (such as instant hits in a fight).

Keep it PG-16 in romance and violence.

Drama is awesome, short scuffles are okay, and romance is wanted.

Be literate! Use "for talking" and [{(for OOC)}]. Asteriks and dashes are not permitted for actions. Be sure to use proper grammar and punctutation as well.

Send me a PM with your profile skeleton and I will decide if you are capable of being in my RP. Most likely no one will be turned down, unless rules are broken.

Doubling is allowed and is good because our guild is small.

You must be involved in one of the events going on at Studio 28, even if you're a caterer or a fan trying to get in to see your idol or someone trying to make it big. You could even be an heir who sponsors the event.

The PM that you send me must be titled, "Make Me a Star"

If you break the rules, you will have one chance to redeem yourself. If you do not after one chance has been given, you will be kicked out of the roleplay.

If you are inactive, you will be given a warning. This warning will last however long I wish. If you do not post within the warning time, you will have your profile deleted. However, if you are on a trip or something and inform me that you cannot post, then it will be acceptable if you aren't active.

Personality: Madison is somewhat of a snob, at least to more poor people because of the way that she was brought up. However, around middle-class and rich people she can be very respectful. She is very passionate about her job as an actress, though she can easily give up. Madison is used to others helping her out when things get hard and she loves to go shopping throughout the streets of Hollywood. She likes to swim a little, but mostly suntan by the pool or do yoga. She tries to keep herself calm, but she can easily get her feelings hurt and begin to cry, or get incredibly angry and explode. When she wants to she can be sneaky and she usually contains herself to more healthy foods, though she sometimes likes to eat less healthy, and enjoys chocolates. Madison loves dogs, but is allergic to cats, and therefore doesn't like them very much. She is used to being pampered, hates bugs and loves to spend money and get her picture taken.
Relationships: She lived with her parents until she was eighteen, and then moved out. She now lives at the Chateau Marmont, waiting for an agent that her parents said that they would hire for her. When she was younger she had boyfriends, none of them being famous in any way, but decided that unless she really loved someone, that she would lay off having any relationships until she finished the movie being shot in Studio 28, which she is starring in.
History: Madison grew up with her rich parents, her father being a director and her mother a famous fashion designer. Her father landed her a couple parts in some of the movies that he was directing, and the time she had on-screen inspired her to become an actress. She was loved by both of her parents, but she decided that she had better move away and stop relying on her father for jobs, so she moved to Hollywood. Now she finally landed the leading role that she has wanted in the movie being shot at Studio 28. She only hopes that it will take her off her feet and into real fame, and she can stop relying on her parents for her money. Madison grew up with a butler and maids, and she saw a little of the paparazzi in her lifetime. Because of her pampered childhood, she has a lot to learn about how hard the real world is. She also grew up with a small toy poodle, which may have been what sparked off her love of dogs, for she carried it with her almost everywhere, and where she didn't carry it, it followed her. The poodle died when she was fourteen, but Madison never forgot about it, though she never speaks of it.
Other: Madison has a Yorkshire Terrier (<3), or "Yorkie" puppy named Shakira. Her mother and father bought it for her as a parting gift when she moved away, and it loved her and Madison loved it immediately. She also has a birthmark in the shape of three dots on her left arm that is covered by what she wears, unless the straps are thin.

Personality: Ethan is very dramatic, especially when talking about his life. Taking pictures of beautiful, handsome and famous people has made him long to be the one pictured, not the one taking the pictures, despite the love he has for his job. He believes there is something more out there for him, that his life is incomplete. Still, he is easily excitable and ready to do whatever task is assigned to him. Being around him also gets others excited, as he talks fast sometimes and usually is rather jumpy. As well as being easily excitable, he is also easily angered. One little thing will set him to explode. He almost never cries and it is hard to hurt him, at least visibly. He is very crafty and creative, and enjoys using this skill to snap pictures and get people to pose a certain way. His favorite healthy food is the apple, though he usually doesn't eat very healthy, and is on the go a lot, so often eats out. His favorite food in general is a cheeseburger, though he doesn't have them very often. Ethan tries to work out in the gym at the Marmont sometimes, but his metabolism is what really keeps him healthy and as skinny as he is. He hates dogs, big ones intimidate him and little ones annoy him. However, he does like exotic pets, and cats don't annoy him too much. Sometimes Ethan may annoy people when he complains about his current life as a photographer, but usually he is at least mildly upbeat and happy.
Relationships: Ethan had no girlfriend at the present time, and he neither wishes for one, nor doesn't wish for one. He has had a couple girlfriends in his life, but he was neither immensely popular or unpopular at any of his past jobs and schools. Both of his parents died in the course of the past two years, and shortly after that, he moved to Hollywood to get a job. His father was an engineer and his mother was a teacher at a local high school. Neither of them were famous, and neither of them made much money. Still, Ethan had a decent relationship with both of them, and loved them both deeply.
History: Ethan moved to Hollywood to get a job after his parents died. He was assigned Studio 28, where he should take pictures of varying events going on there. Most of his pictures weren't used in a magazine, art gallery, newspaper, or anything, but he gets paid, so the job is sufficient. Ethan also gets a lot of freedom during the day with his job, and usually gets to talk to some celebrities during his daily tour of Studio 28. He can hang around in one place all day, or scour the whole studio, whatever he wishes. Currently, he has had his job for two years, and is quite satisfied with it, although he always wished to be richer, though he would never marry for money. As a child, he never had any pets, as he wasn't very rich, and he didn't like most house pets in any case, and never wanted to be relied on in a sake of life or death. He also knew that whatever pet he got would die before him, and he saw no reason to go through unneeded pain. Growing up, he took many classes in photography and his works are professional now. If he wished it so, he could attempt to make it big with his pictures, but he is afraid that he will fail and fall farther down than before, so he does not do so.
Other: Ethan has a single tattoo that he got shortly after he moved to Hollywood. It is quite small and located on his lower back. The tattoo is in the shape of a star and is a symbol for his early hopes of getting one when he first moved to Hollywood. That dream is long over now, but it serves Ethan a constant reminder of what he had wanted to be.

Princess Mandy

Occupation: Musician; lead singer and guitarist for the boy band Eternity.
Where They're Staying: Hillside Two Bedroom Bungalow.
Personality: Aaron isn't sure if he's into being a celebrity, but he does know that he wants his music out there. He's kind of impulsive and random which angers his manager frequently, but he is pretty bright. His favorite things are videogames, his music, and going on vacation. His least favorite things are uptight people, really girly things, and controlling managers/agents. His weirdest quirks are that he has conversations with his pet turtle Elvis and he has a lava lamp collection.
Relationships: Aaron has a manager and two to four other band members (who should sing, at least one on bass and one on drums).
History: Aaron grew up in Miami, CA and met his band mates there. They came to LA two years ago and made a CD titled Eternity, and since then have had two songs on the radio, Hollywood Girl and Make You Mine.
Other: Writes most of the songs lyrics for the band and has a pet turtle named Elvis.

Princess Mandy

Personality: Melissa is pretty down to earth. She's not chasing some Hollywood fantasy, trying to get recognized. She's just trying to make enough money so that she can go to college in a couple of years and get a better job. Melissa is smart and likes to be in charge, but her weakness is romantics. She loves flowers, little hand-written notes, etc. She hates failure and criticism, and loves success and praise. Her favorite things are animals, music (singing, dancing, listening), and books (fantasy and realistic romances). Her least favorite things are suprises, snobby celebrities, and slobs. Her weirdest quirks are her dislike of the beach and singing and dancing around when she thinks nobody's watching.
Relationships: None at present.
History: Melissa grew up in Los Angeles and moved to stay in the Chateau Marmont when she got a well-paying waitressing job. She’s trying to save up some money to go to college. She's been asked to drive snacks and refreshments over to the cast of the movie being filmed in Studio 28.
Other: A King Charles Cavalier named Bentley, who is only allowed in the tiled areas of the apartment.

La Belle Isolde

Where They're Staying: Standard Bedroom
Personality: Incredibly angry most of the time, Kassandra is actually a cheerful personality when things are going right for her. Unfortunately a bad case of writer's block is driving her up the wall of late and she can't seem to shake it.
Relationships: On a very thin wire with her mother, she doesn't really have much for other friendships. She used to be in a duo but made the mistake of dating the other member and when that didn't work out things fell apart and he skipped town. Kass doesn't quite realize that she probably would be much better off in band or double act like she has been in the past and thinks she would be much better off alone.
History: Formerly in a double-act she now is on her own, trying to make it as a singer/songwriter but failing miserably at it for the time being. While her duo wasn't exactly a triumphant success, it paid the bills. Now she's left struggling to get people to even sit through a performance.
Other: She dresses in "weird" clothes that tend to look on the verge of stupid rather than trendy. Her arm bands never quite go with her just jeans-and-t-shirt look and her pink hair sometimes doesn't always go with the colour she decides to wear.

In the heart of Hollywood stands the
Chateau Marmont. Its luscious history and preserved grandeur have kept this luxury hotel a Hollywood favorite. The Chateau Marmont surrounds itself with tranquil gardens giving the illusion you're not in a big city. Privacy is key in this boutique hotel which models an infamous royal residence in France's Loire Valley.

There is a lobby on the first floor, where you can check in and get your room key, where a smiling employee waits for you. There is also a lounge, where many of the hotel guests spend some of their time, chatting it up with others or reading many of the magazines or books left there. Maybe shooting a game of pool, or playing a game of checkers, for the more childish or the young. Near the lounge is a spa, where the rich can come to get pampered, and a restaurant, Pour les Riches, which serves wonderful food. Branching off of the spa is a gym, where the hotel guests can make sure that they stay healthy and looking fine.

Outside, which you can get to from the lobby, are the gardens. Some of them are in greenhouses and others are outdoors. There are various types of plants in each of them, and they are beautiful to look at, with varying colors and personalities. The gardens are one of the highlights of the hotel. Also outside is the pool, which is very large and features waterfalls and two jacuzzis. The maximum occupancy is two thousand people. With its shimmering waters, it is a refreshing place to go after a long day at work.

The Chateau Marmont has a living space for people of all ages and income (you can check which rooms are available in +Rooms+):

The Standard Bedroom for the lowest of the low, aside from those living on the street. There is a queen-sized bed, 300 square feet and a garden view. They are located on the second and third floors.

The Junior Suite, for the middle class, at a more spacious 500 square feet. Though there is no defined bedroom, there is a queen-sized bed. There is a sitting room, a dining room, a kitchen, and your choice of a garden or city view. They are located on the fourth floor.

The Standard Bedroom Suite which is approximately 800 square feet, with your choice of a city or garden view. There is a living room, a dining room, a kitchen, and a king-sized bed. They are located on the fifth floor.

The Premier Bedroom Suite which is similar to the Standard Bedroom Suite, but with more space and other delicacies at 920 square feet. There is a living room, dining room, kitchen, and a king-sized bed. In most suites there is a private balcony that you can walk onto from your room, and a guaranteed view of the pool or the city. They are located on the sixth floor.

The Two Bedroom Suite might be the one for you. Slightly larger than the Premier, it is 950 square feet. It comes with a private balcony, pool views, a living room, a dining room, and a kitchen. In the master bedroom there is a queen bed, and in the second bedroom there are two twin-sized beds. They are located on the seventh floor.

The Hillside Two Bedroom Bungalow, for the slightly richer. A couple of them border the hills behind the hotel. They are 1500 square feet with a private street entrance, a garden view and a fireplace. There is an attached carport, a small and private garden, a living room, a dining area, a kitchen and two bathrooms. There is a king-sized bed in the master bedroom and a pair of twins in the second.

The Poolside Bungalow, for the rich who enjoy swimming. They range from 1500 to 2500 square feet and have a patio for direct pool access. Obviously there is a pool view, a private entrance, a living room, a dining room, a kitchen, two bathrooms and two or three bedrooms. There is a king in the master, a queen in the second, and if you get a third, a pair of two twins.

The One Bed Penthouse, is slightly smaller than the bungalows at 1200 square feet. They have patio private terraces, a garden view, and hardwood floors. There is also a kitchen, a living room, a dining room and a king-sized bed. They are located on the top floor, the eighth.

The Two Bed Penthouse is the largest at 3000 square feet and is for the richest with a 1500 square foot private terrace and panoramic views of Hollywood. There is a dressing area, a living room, a dining room, a kitchen, a fireplace, two bathrooms and two bedrooms. In the master is a king-sized bed, and in the second bedroom is a queen.

Most likely you'll be involved with one or more of the four events currently going on there. You don't know about them? Well, allow me to inform you.

The Movie
A new movie is being filmed at Studio 28. It's a romance about a rich and famous movie star who takes pity on a man she finds on the street. She helps him out, gives him a makeover, and eventually falls in love with him. Will the lead actors fall for each other? Will they be friends? Will they hate each other? The paparazzi will be swarming. Also needed is a director.

The Fashion Show
Models and photographers from all over the nation are coming to a Fashion Show right here in Hollywood. Models will find sponsors and designers who want them to model their clothes, and will take photo shoots with photographers. Male models, female models, photographers, agents, designer rivalries. Anything could happen.

o3.
The Concert
There's going to be a concert coming up in Hollywood, opening for the Fashion Show. Bands and artists from all around, famous or unknown are all trying to get a spot. Agents are looking for people on the street to audition. There will be rivalries, there may be fights, anything goes.

o4.
The Art Gallery
Though the art gallery in Hollywood's Studio 28 gets less media coverage than the Fashion Show, Concert and the big movie, artists from all around are displaying their masterpieces in paint, sculpture, glass, or something a little more bizarre.
