This is the Topic to tell of any Vampire Books you read or Authors that you know of.

Me personally, I love the Anita Blake Vampire Hunter novels by Laurell K Hamilton. And of course the Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice. Then there is the not so known Amelia Atwater-Rhodes, and L.J. Smith (The Vampire Dairies, my absolute favorite)

I can't remember the author's names off hand, but I have read "Interview With a Vampire", Queen of the Damned, different Dracula stories, and manga like Chibi Vampire and Hellsing. (Hellsing is the best damned manga and best vampire story I have ever read!)

Interview with the Vampire and Queen of the Damned are both part of the Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice. But if you've read those two, you need to read The Vampire Lestat-- makes a lot of stuff in both of those books make more sense...not to mention, it is my favorite of the original Vampire Chronicles. Although, I have started to work on Memnoch the Devil, so we'll see how that works.

You'll actually find that Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles actually come in this order:
Interview with the Vampire
The Vampire Lestat
The Queen of the Damned
The Tale of the Body Theif
Memnoch the Devil
The Vampire Armand
Merrick
Blood and Gold
Blackwood Farm
Blood Canticle

Then the are also the New Tales of the Vampires:
Pandora
Vittorio the Vampire

Also, for anyone who is interested, there is also the Lives of the Mayfair Witches Trilogy:
The Witching Hour
Lasher
Taltos

They're good to read, as some of the characters arealso in the later vampire chronicles.

Oh, as for comics, I read Vampire Princess Miyu! I like that one... People, this thread is for the books you read, not to correct one another about the order of books

Lestat is probably one of my favorite vampires. Oh there's this other manga called something :The Count of Monte Cristo. I've read only a couple chapters, but it seem promising.

Sorry, I wasn't trying to lecture anyone, i just thought that it would be good to give everyone a definitive answer on which order the books are meant to be read in, so that people can read the series and not miss anything etc.

The Count of Monte Cristo revamped into a vampire story? I'm not sure how I feel about that. But I'm also an advocate of leaving the classics alone...

I've never read the Count of Monte Cristo, but i know i would be mortified if any of the classics i've read were changed like that. Sometimes they should just leave things as they are.

Well, it follows the classic pretty well, and I like it just as much, and I'm sure anyone who like vampires and the classic will like this combination. But that's just my opinion; And as they say: don't judge a book by its cover. Read it and then say how you feel about it.
