There won't. When Light owned both Misa's and his own Death Notes, he gave Rem Misa's Death Note, and kept his own. Rem's now-owned Death Note falls into the hands of a man in the Yotsuba group, but remember, Kyosuke Higuchi was caught, and L took his Death Note. That is how the Kira investigation members were able to find out about shinigamis. Rem took the Death Note back, killed L and Watari, and Sachiko Yagami took the Death Note. He then had to switch his Death Note with one of the members of Mello's group. Eventually, Shidoh claims back the Death Note, leaving one Death Note left on earth.

Light had the possession of the Death Note, but gave it to Teru Mikami. If you remember, at the ending, Near keeps the real Death Note while Teru and Light die. I'm assuming that Near destroyed that Death Note, as such a weapon would seriously be a threat to the human world.

Therefore, there are no longer any more Death Notes in the human world, so there will not be any successors to the name Kira. Since Misa committed suicide a year later after Light died, it's as if the Death Note never existed.

Im still shocked that MATSUDA shot kira....

i was not shocked, however, when ryuk wrote raito's name in the death note.

I'm suprised how Matsuda took it so harshly. I know that he liked Light and all but still, Was it really worth falling to the ground and asking "How Could You?"

I thought that the ending was just about perfect.
And no, I'm not surprised Matsuda shot Light. I mean, come on, if he didn't they were all gonna die. Someone had to do something, and all the others were way too stupefied to do it.
And another no, I don't think it was too over-dramatic of Matsuda to fall to hiss knees and ask "Why?" I mean, be serious, someone he'd known and trusted, or whatever, for like 7 years, or something like that, was just accused of being Kira, and that SAME GUY CONFESSED TO IT.
I really thought the ending was totally worth it

i loved the ending but near was right light just turned into a crazy cereal killer light deserved to die Matsuda was the only one to freak out when near proved light was kira i am still shocked that Matsuda was the one that shot kira instead of someone else
