In most fighting animation, it's not as hard as it seem. especially for the fast ones. faster the character move, easier the animation is. first, you will need to know your pose before atk, after atk and the atk pose. for other movements are the same. to make it seem fast, you need one way to make it look transparent. (for ms paint users, try to makes tiny holes in your avatar)



here, there are only three pose (in each some details can be added to give more live, you can learn from silvershadowfang's tutoring topic)

in those animations, you place your character more than you edit it. if you want to see more pro animation as example, try the "nightmare city" of the clairvoyance. (you can search it on youtube) the fight are cool but it doesn't have as much frame as it seem.

actually that one here is one of my first avatar animation. so there aren't many flames. before it atk, i have only two different images. you can see the upper body moving with the lame cape moving strangely. i used two image to make it disappear (fade out using ms paint) and one blank then it appear without fade out. and thats the moment to do slow motion.
