The first thing Maya and Yue decided they'd do is take their Pokemon to the Pokemon Center. They made their way to the building and handed their pokeballs to Nurse Joy. They sat down to rest their legs and eyes for a bit while their Pokemon recovered.
As Nurse Joy brought their Pokemon back out she said that they were the first two to make it out of Mt. Moon for the day. She was giving out complimentary Rare Candies to exceptional trainers, and she could tell that's what these two were. So she gave them each a Rare Candy.
------------- All Pokemon fully healed. Maya/Yue obtained Rare Candy x1.

Yue and Maya also both needed to stock up on supplies, now that they had a decent chunk of change. They bought 6 Super Potions. 3 for each of them. The store said there also was a man who was giving out TMs for trainers near the edge of the city, around Route 24, so they headed that way. The man said he was a friend of the scientist that was digging for fossils. He was giving out TMs to teach Pokemon Dig. Maya and Yue accepted the item and decided they could use a bit of training.
They stood at a cross road as they tried to figure out if they wanted to go to Route 4, or Route 24. Eventually they decided on Route 24. The two trainers headed on their way with their sights on leveling up their Pokemon enough to defeat the Cerulean Gym.
------------ Yue/Maya lost 4200P! Yue/Maya obtained: Super Potion x3, TM28 Dig. Yue/Maya left for Route 24.

As Yue and Maya went returned to town they figured they'd sell some of the items that wouldn't be of any use to them. The sold: Star Piece x2, Nugget x1, and Antidote x2. They collected their money and left the store.
They now went on to the Pokemon Center to heal their Pokemon and rest for a while before their match at the gym. Once they reached the Pokemon Center they handed their pokeballs to Nurse Joy who said they'd be ready before long. Once again they walked over and plopped down in the chairs over to the side. Both Yue and Maya were pretty quiet as they thought of which Pokemon to use and wondered which Pokemon the trainers in the gym would be using. They'd have to be well prepared.
Nurse Joy called them over to the desk to pick up their fully recovered Pokemon and they went off. To face the Cerulean City gym leader!
---------------------- All Pokemon are fully healed. Maya/Yue lost: Star Piece x1(each), Antidote x1(each) Yue lost: Nugget x1 Maya/Yue obtained 25200P!

First, Yue was up. But he was surprisingly shot down by the first trainer. As was Maya. They figured they'd better stay in/around Cerulean for a while and get some training in. But first, they'd have a look around. Oh! And now that they had decided to wait here for a while, they could meet up with Lily and the friend she'd spoken of. And possibly meet even more trainers.
Yue stroked his chin hair as he tried to think of where the best place to train would be. The only place he could think of was back to Route 24. It was either there, or Route 4. Well . . . or Route 5, but he weirdly didn't want to head that way until he'd defeated the Cerulean Gym. He sat down on a bench nearby, soon followed by Maya.
"So Maya, I was thinking that my Paras would be the main Pokemon to win me a victory in the gym . . . other than that, everyone except my Beldum would be a pretty good choice to use." he said, half talking to himself. He tended to do that from time to time, explain the situation to himself to make sure he covered everything. "Who are you thinking of using?" he then added.
"Hm. Chuuni and Belle would be perfect to use, but if it comes down to it, Muddle's ground type moves could still do a bit of damage. And because Muddle's part water-type, he doesn't have the same weakness as ground-type Pokemon." she said, explaining her position to Yue as she thought.
They sat and spoke of possible battle strategies for a while longer.

After a while of just sitting around and talking about the possibilities, Yue and Maya thought it was time to go actually try to accomplish something. So they got up and left for Route 24 again, to get some training in before they took on the Cerulean Gym once again.
They got up and began to make their way to the Route. Yue yawned a bit. He weirdly didn't feel like getting training in, but he guessed he needed it. Maya on the other hand, figured her Belle could get some work in before it's big match.

Yue and Maya went back to the Pokemon Center and healed their Pokemon before settling in for the night there. The waited in the lobby until their Pokemon were returned to them and then wandered of to their room and tucked themselves into their beds. They'd have an action packed day tomorrow, that was for sure. -------------------- All Pokemon fully healed. -------------------- Yue yawned as he set up in bed. It was determined that Maya would be the first to battle the gym this time around. Maya and Yue prepared their things as they set out for the Cerulean City gym.
Maya walked into the gym first, ready to win her second badge, and Yue followed behind shortly, prepared to face the gym after hiss younger sister. Maya approached the first trainer who welcomed her nicely. "Hello, young trainer!" she exclaimed. "I'll be your first opponent this evening." she then added, sending out her Horsea.
Maya couldn't think of a response to that, so she merely commanded her Belle to come out and gave her opponent a smile and a wave. It was an awkward reaction, but Maya hoped she wouldn't be facing this opponent long. "Belle, use Bullet Seed!" she yelled as her Oddish spat out a barrage of seeds at Horsea. The opposing Pokemon just retorted with a weak water-type attack that barely did any damage. Belle put the opponent to sleep with Sleep Powder and finished it off with a long barrage of Bullet Seed.
The opposing trainer, astounded by the strategy, sent out her next Pokemon, Shellder. Maya left Belle out and commanded her to use Sleep Powder right away. It failed and Shellder used Icicle Spear hitting Belle with a barrage of icicles that did a lot of damage. But Belle attempted again at using Sleep Powder, and this time it worked. The Shellder fell asleep and became a victim to Belle's own barrage, but of seeds from Bullet Seed. With Shellder doing nothing, Belle soon emerged victorious. ------------------ Belle: HP: 13/17 > 14/18 EXP: 780/680 > 100/775 Belle reached level 18! ------------------- Maya then reached her second opponent who was a bit more forceful. "This is your last stop. You won't get past me!" exclaimed the trainer, to which Maya responded "We'll see! You better not take me too lightly.
Maya sent out Chuuni this time, and the trainer sent out Goldeen. "Chuuni, use Thundershock, then Quick Attack!" she exclaimed as her Pikachu shot out a bolt of electricity and then rammed into the opposing Pokemon. She then commanded the Pikachu to keep up with the Thundershocks. The Goldeen barely had a chance to get any hits in before it fainted. Maya proudly walked on to face the gym leader. ----------------------- Chuuni: HP: 16/18 EXP: 765/775 ---------------------- Maya finally reached the gym leader, and having seen how Maya battled, Misty thought she had a good strategy to deal with Maya. Maya sent out her Belle first and Misty sent out her Staryu. Maya knew this battle wouldn't be easy. "Well let's start this!" exclaimed Misty as she commanded her Staryu.
Misty's Staryu started off with a powerful Tackle attack that connected right with Belle. Belle recoiled from the attack and returned fire with a Bullet Seed. Maya had told Belle before the battle even started to just keep at it with Bullet Seed. She figured that attack would get them far in this battle. The Staryu then responded by trying to Harden it's shell and use Harden. It succeeded, but then was hit by yet another Bullet Seed. Misty smiled as she told her Staryu to use it's Ace. The Staryu began to glow briefly as it regained half of it's life. Maya gasped as she told Belle to pick up the pace with the Bullet Seeds. Yet another Bullet Seed hit the opposing Pokemon and then it shot out a blast of water, using Water Pulse. Maya, however, being prepared for the speedy water attacks, told Belle to jump, and it did, and used another Bullet Seed. The Staryu, desperate to deal more damage before it fainted, remembered that it's Tackle attack hit once before and charged into the Oddish. Belle, now at close range delivered the final blow with another Bullet Seed.
Misty didn't lose her composure as she knew her Staryu was strong, but her next Pokemon, Starmie was far stronger! She sent out her Staryu who was immediately blasted by Belle's barrage of seeds with Bullet Seed. Starmie, showing it's incredible skill then proceeded to recover itself. Then Belle hit it with a Bullet Seed to which Starmie responded by leaping into the air and spinning towards the Oddish, knocking it into the wall behind it. This Starmie did indeed have incredible power. Belle shot another Bullet Seed at the Pokemon and it shot a barrage of stars back. Both the seeds and the stars hit without fail as Belle again shot more seeds at the Starmie. The Starmie then used Water Pulse, which Belle once again dodged and used Bullet Seed against. Starmie's health was getting pretty low at this point, so it recovered some health. But Belle knocked a chunk of it's health back down with another Bullet Seed. Belle's health was getting very low at this point though, so Maya withdrew Belle from the battle.
"Go, Chuuni!" exclaimed Maya as she sent out her Pikachu to finish the battle. Chuuni used Thundershock and Starmie used Rapid Spin. The Rapid Spin knocked Chuuni into the wall behind it as well and Chuuni bounced off, using Thundershock, and Starmie used Swift. Both attacks connected with their target and Starmie fainted. Maya had won the battle!
Misty congratulated Maya on her win and gave her the Cascade badge along with the TM03 and prize money. She was quite impressed with Maya's battling skills and hoped her brother put up as good of a fight as she did. Maya walked to meet her brother who was waiting for her back before the first trainer, who had enough time by now to recover her Pokemon. ---------------------- Turn one: (Staryu: 12/18 )(Belle: 12/18 ) Turn two: (Staryu: 6/18 )(Belle: 12/18 ) Turn three: (Staryu: 9/18 )(Belle: 12/18 ) Turn four: (Staryu: 3/18 )(Belle: 12/18 ) Turn five: (Staryu: 0/18 )(Belle: 10/18 ) Turn six: (Starmie: 21/21)(Belle: 10/18 ) Turn seven: (Starmie: 15/21)(Belle: 6/18 ) Turn eight: (Starmie: 9/21)(Belle: 2/18 ) Turn nine: (Starmie: 3/21)(Belle: 2/18 ) Turn ten: (Starmie: 7/21)(Belle: 2/18 ) Turn eleven: (Starmie: 1/21)(Chuuni: 12/18 ) Turn twleve: (Starmie: 0/21)(Chuuni: 8/18 )

Yue walked and again met the nice first trainer. Yue wasn't in the mood for pleasantries. He felt he could best his sister this time around. He sent out his Paras and she sent out her Horsea. Her Horsea hit Paras a few times, but it's Bullet Seed soon made quick work of the water-type Pokemon. And everytime a water type move was used, it only seemed to make Paras feel better. The next Pokemon that the trainer sent out was a Shellder. It's ice moves were a bit harder for Paras to handle as it took more damage than in the last round. But in the end, Paras' Leech Life and Bullet Seed won it the battle.
Yue, confident in his Pokemon's abilities went on to the next trainer. The trainer sent out a Goldeen and Yue sent out his Paras once again. The Paras once again made quick work of the enemy Pokemon with his Spore attack, then barrage of Bullet Seeds. It seemed that Paras might be unbeatable. Misty thought he needed to be taken down a couple of notches.
Yue used his two remaining Potions on Paras to heal it up for it's big test and walked down the path to meet the gym leader and hopefully win his second badge. ---------------------- Yue lost Potion x2. Paras' heal went up by 4.
Paras: HP: 11/17 > 16/18 EXP: 1095/680 > 415/775 Paras reached level 18! ------------------------ Yue approached Misty, who took a shot in the dark and guessed at a strategy that would defeat her next opponent and his Paras.
Misty sent out her Staryu, and Yue his Paras. Paras started off by using Bullet Seed, and Staryu responded by thrusting forward, hitting Paras with a powerful Tackle attack sending it onto a platform behind it. Staryu followed up by blasting Paras with a Water Pulse. Instead of dodging, Paras stood and took the attack, being refreshed by it. Paras then blasted Staryu again with Bullet Seed. Misty, infuriated by how Paras was withstanding attacks, focused on wearing it down and beating it before anything else. If she couldn't take out Paras, then the battle was good as over. Her Staryu contined with the pattern of Tackle, Water Pulse for two more turns until Paras' constant barrage of Bullet Seed finally took her out. Each time the water sprayed onto Paras, it seemed to only refresh it.
Misty then sent out her Starmie. Yue thought to himself how weird of a match up this was. Starmie was a water/psychic Pokemon. Which meant that now Paras' Leech Life would give it a big advantage. And with it's Dry Skin ability Starmie's water attacks would only heal the young Paras. Paras spammed Leech Life for the remainder of the battle. It being super-effective and adding more damage 'cause Paras was using a move of the same type as itself. Starmie followed the pattern of using Rapid Spin, Swift and Water Pulse on cycle until it couldn't withstand it's life being absorbed anymore.
Misty congratulated her opponent for getting through the gym with the use of only one Pokemon. And for it to come out with so much health was especially surprising. She handed him his prizes and his badge and Maya and Yue left on their way. The figured they'd head to Route 25 to see who's house that was up there before they did anything else. They'd actually grown to like this city quite a bit and might remain here for a while. ----------------------- Turn one: (Staryu: 14/18 )(Paras: 14/18 ) Turn two: (Staryu: 10/18 )(Paras: 16/18 ) Turn three: (Staryu: 6/18 )(Paras: 14/18 ) Turn four: (Staryu: 2/18 )(Paras: 16/18 ) Turn five: (Staryu: 2/18 )( Paras: 14/18 ) Turn six: (Staryu: 0/18 )(Paras: 17/18 ) Turn seven: (Starmie: 15/21)(Paras: 16/18 ) Turn eight: (Starmie: 9/21)(Paras: 15/18 ) Turn nine: (Starmie: 3/21)(Paras: 18/18 ) Turn ten: (Starmie: 0/21)(Paras: 15/18 )
Yue beat the Cerulean City Gym! Yue obtained: The Cascade badge, TM03 Water Pulse, and 2100 P
Paras: HP: 15/18 > 17/20 EXP: 1755/775 > 980/885 > 95/1000 Paras reached level 20! ----------------------------- Before they left on their way to Route 25 to visit the house there, they headed over to the Pokemon Center to have their Pokemon healed. Nurse Joy took their Pokemon from them and they talked in the lobby for a while until Nurse Joy came back with their pokeballs. They took their Pokemon and left. Off to see who was the occupant of the mysterious house. ----------------------------- All Pokemon were fully healed.

The two trainers arived back in Cerulean City in front of the Pokemon Center, thanks to Abra's Teleport. They went inside and handed their pokeballs to Nurse Joy who took them to the back and after a few minutes handed them back to their trainers. She also informed them that there was currently a block up ahead preventing them from progressing further. Disappointedly, they decided to call it a night and went to their room to get some rest. - - - - - - - - - After a long night of rest Maya and Yue wondered what they'd do. They couldn't go on to Route 5 yet. It was blocked off. Road-work or something . . . Nurse Joy wasn't too clear on it.
Yue decided he'd go level up his Pokemon more and Maya figured she'd wait for any trainers that would be entering the City from Mt. Moon. She hoped to see her friend Lily again. And maybe she'd meet the girl's friend Meg or even some different trainers!
Yue left on his way to Route 24 to get some training in as Maya plopped her bottom in a bench near the entrance of the city. On his way out of the city, Yue stopped at the Pokemart and purchased 7 more Super Potions to put into his bag. He figured he'd purchase 7 for Maya as well. He made sure to return and give them to her before he left to train. Unfortunately, he'd forget later. Now having delivered the goods to his sister, he left on his way once again. ----------------------- All Pokemon were fully healed. Yue/Maya lost 9800 P Yue/Maya obtained Super Potion x7! (each)

Yue was back at the Pokemon Center before he knew it and went inside and gave his Pokemon to Nurse Joy. He told her that he'd just pick up his pokeballs when he left, and to put Kadabra up for trade. But only to someone who wanted to trade back. He yawned as he walked over and sat down in a chair near the entrance of the building.
He yawned once again as he laid his head on the back of the chair. It had been a long day of training . . . he went over how awesome it had been in his head as he drifted off to sleep . . . with the road blocked he could afford to take a nap, but he wondered what his sister was up to . . . - - - - - - - - -
Near the entrance to Cerulean City, Maya was kicking a rock around. She was quite bored just waiting there for so long. She really hoped some people came by soon. ------------------------- Yue's Pokemon were completely healed.
(I just realized . . . I have no idea why I waited until level 20 to evolve my Abra. xD I was just wrong in knowing when it did.)

Yue sat in the Pokemon Center kicking his feet as Maya sat at the entrance of the city, kicking her feet. It sure was taking a lot time to clear up that road block on Route 5. Both trainers hoped that some new people would come through real soon, 'cause as much as they liked Cerulean City, they really wanted to get on with their travels. Maya really wished there was a place to do a contest, as she'd really like to partake in one, but it seems the Cerulean building committee wasn't quite done with it.
So all there was to do right now was wait . . . ---------------------------

Yue yawned as he leaned back in his chair. That was a nice nap, he thought to himself. It sure was desolate around this area since the roadblock popped up. He had heard they were making progress with removing it, though. He sat up in his chair and then stood up as he looked around the Pokemon Center lobby. He felt in the mood for some more training. Maybe more so with Metang this time. And maybe Mankey . . .
He began his walk to Route 24 to get some training in as Maya just waited by the entrance of the city. -----------------------

Yue was quite pleased as he returned to the Pokemon Center. He healed up his Metang and then approached the PC to deposit his Abra. As he was finishing up the deposit, Nurse Joy approached Yue saying that she had someone who wanted to trade to evolve one of their Pokémon as well.
Yue nearly jumped with joy as he handed his Kadabra over to Nurse Joy. She carefully placed it in a machine and the ball went through and after a few minutes a second ball popped out. He sent out the Pokémon and it was a very healthy looking Electabuzz and it was holding some box. It began to glow as it then progressed to evolve into an Electivire. Yue was very impressed with the Pokémon, but he was too anxious to get his own Pokémon back to leave it out any longer. He called back the newly evolved Electivire as he handed the ball back to Nurse Joy. The same process followed where she placed the ball on the machine and it dissappeared, soon bringing another pokéball in it's place.
Yue excitedly recieved the pokéball from the kind lady and sent out his newly evolved Alakazam. He wrapped his arms around the Pokémon and then decided that they both should do something to celebrate and they walked together to a place near the edge of town where he had spotted a large shade tree. They both figured it was time for a congratulatory nap.
Maya watched from afar as she saw her brother and his newly evolved Alakazam walk over to take a nap underneath a tree. She laughed and shook her head at how often her brother would nap. ------------------------ Yue's Pokémon were fully healed. Yue deposited Abra in the PC.

Wynter figured the first thing she'd do was go to the Pokémon Center and heal her Pokémon. Then she'd go to the Pokémart and get some more items/sell some unnecessary ones.
As she entered the city, she saw a young girl sitting on a bench near the entrance of the city. She was paying attention to someone else farther away. Someone under a tree with an Alakazam, it looked like. She made her way into the Pokémon Center and handed her Pokémon to the nice lady at the counter who said she'd return them in just a minute. She did so, and Wynter went over to see what the man under the tree was up to.
She walked over there and was startled by a man around her age napping with his Alakazam. He had his arms behind his head and was propped against the tree. Wynter didn't want to be a bother, so she turned around skidding her feet. He yawned lightly as he awoke from his nap. Wynter gasped and whirled around. "Oh! I didn't mean to disturb you! Please get back to your nap! I'm so sorry!" she said her face blushing, embarrassed that she made such a mistake.
"Oh, it's no problem. Really. I'm actually glad you woke me up." he said stretching. "My sister and I have been stuck in this town for a while now, and we've been looking for people to add on to our group with . . . just people to travel with, or maybe just to get to know. And you seem pretty interesting." he said as he stretched a bit, and began to stand up, his Alakazam just now waking from it's slumber.
"Oh! Well I'd love to travel with you! I don't super like battling, but I've learned to do it by traveling through Mt. Moon alone . . . and I was getting pretty lonely, so I'd love to join your group. said Wynter. She felt she could really open up to this guy. He seemed so easy-going and laid back and kind.
"Oh, I'm sorry, I haven't introduced myself. My name's Yue. And my sister, Maya, is over there on the bench," he said pointing to Maya, and once she realized she waved to them.
"Oh, right. Introductions. she said blushing again. "My name is Wynter. And I saw your sister on the way in to town, actually. she then added.
Yue and Wynter talked for a while before Yue recalled his Alakazam and they made their way over to the Pokémart. Yue showed Wynter where to get the TM28, and Rare Candy, and she used them both on Naga. Wynter then purchased some items from the Pokémart and they made their way over to Maya to talk for a while longer, waiting for anyone else to enter the city. ----------------------------------------- Yue, Maya, and Wynter are now a party. Wynter obtained: TM28 Dig, Rare Candy. Wynter sold: Star Piece, Antidote x2, Escape Rope, and Paralyze Heal. Wynter bought: Potion x 10, Super Potion x10 and Pokéball x7. Wynter's poké is now 4028.
Wynter's Pokémon were fully healed.
