Jakob's lair
Sitting at the base of the rocky cove just short of the plateau, the outside of Jakob's lair isn't much to look at. Upon first glance it appears to be just a nook between the jagged rocks that form the base of the cove. The coser you get you see that it's truely the entrance to a cave that billows outward into a larger room.
-The Livingroom-
The walls have been sanded and smoothed down showing that main room had been dug out much farther than it originally used to be. The moderate funishings giving it a mild lived in feel. To the left of the entrance a chimney has been carved out of the excess in the wall, it's fleu extending up into the rocky ceiling and off to who knows where. Setting before it is a stone table littered with various odds and ends with another table set beside it. Both of these are set atop an old grizzly bear skin, it's fur is well kept and looks rather inviting, for a floor rug that is.
Even with the open entrance, the cave still retains a slightly smokey if not earthen scent about it from the cooking of past meals and what not. The air within the cave is cool but the fireplace keeps it comfortable enough without becoming unbearable as well as dimly lit. In the far corner is a latter leading up to a trap door leading further into the cave.
-The Bedroom-
Having gone up the stairs there is a small landing just before a leaf curtain covered doorway. The leaves look to have been covered by some sort of wax to keep their green color as they hang from a think strip of rope by S shaped hooks to allow them to slide out of the way. Past that is Jakob's bedroom. The lightsource for this room are the two green crystals either side of the doorway. They cast the room in a gentile green glow.
An unorganized pile of books lay on the floor by her bed, one or two seeming to have strayed from the main group to lay half opened on the cool stone floor. Her cozy looking bed seems to be covered in the same furr as the grizzly rug down stairs but this one is gray instead. It sits against the far wall between two half walls with a cabinet placed at the end. This part of the cave is a little warmer thanks to it's higher placement. There are two other doors places in the far right corner of the room.
-The Kitchen-
The first door leading from the bedroom goes into the kitchen. It seems like an odd place to have such a room but living by herself, Jakob spends most of her indoor time in her room so it's ideal for her to have the kitchen near by. There are two open topped barrels against the far wall stocked with some live fish and water reeds for cooking. A small pit fire roars continueously from a prepared section on the floor and a small fountain gurgles idly by it. A cooking pot has been stored under a stone table that looks to be used for cutting things on. There is a basket made from deer skins and tree branches hanging on the wall full of drying spices and leaves.
The space is just big enough for one person to stand and move about easiy as they prepare food in, the ceiling just high enough to allow for some decent head space. A cylindrical shaped hole has been cut in the ceiling all the way up to allow the fire's smoke to escape easily enough. There is a door nestled just in the back of the room.
-The Storage and Pantry-
The door leading from the kitchen leads into Jakob's storage and pantry. Various bits of dried meat and fish have been stored away carefully as well as some vegetables and fruit. Her fishing gear is neatly places for easy access as well as a life preserver for emergencies. Two closed barrels occupy the opposite corners. Across the front, words have been burned into their surfaces, one saying: Berry Wine the other: Salt Rocks. This room is no different from the kitchen if not smaller because of all the supplies housed within it.
-The Bath Room-
The second door leading from Jakob's room leads into the bathing room. In the center of this room resides a chest deep pool full of hot water. On the floor is a bowel full of scented bath salts and a little scooper, a cake of similar smelling soap resting at its side. There is a bench for sitting and enjoying the steam that rises from the water a well as a hidden cubord with extra towels in the wall. It is obvious from this room that it contributes to much of the warmth in Jakob's bedroom.
