9 years ago... In the halls of the house of Reiko, Jin, Heihachi and their father, Shamatotsuki sat on the far back of the meeting room. Across from them were the Naoto family; Sakura, Namigara and their mother, Kira Sakura Naoto. To the left of them were the Tishaki family; Murasaki and his mother, Kim Shi Tishiaki. To the left of them sat in patience, the Himigashi clan; Yo, Rinshi, Wuta, and Yo's father, Kyo Himigashi. To the left of them were the Brognaught family, humble as they waited, Emileza and her father, Jok Brognaught. To the left of them were the Kinkashi family, Ayama and her grandmother, Brayaku Kinkashi sat with pure elegance. And finally, the Ishta family; Yu and her father Gin Ishta.
They had all gathered from time to time, catching up with old times as close friends. Their ties go way back into the 50's, the time when japan was troubled, right around the final death of the Samurai. Through thought and cogitation from the government, the seven royal families sat in a large circle formation in the house of Reiko, discussing the terms with the government. The terms were kept secret and discrease, so quiet they kept it. In through all, it had been discussed for several years now. Reiko Shamatotsuki, the top member of the royal family. Ishta Gin, the owner of Baikion High. The two were closests of friends, even as enemies, rivals and children, they were more close to each other than anyone else in the royal family. Shamatotsuki was conviced by Gin to allow the special terms or the program run in his school. It would be as a great experiment, related on how the world of modern Japan would be. Shamatotsuki allowed Gin to have the project well into his school as a Bakion mandatory term. Creating the rules and terms of the project was simpe, though complex. It had took them 8 years to develop a well organized project everyone would agree upon. It was going to be a great ressurection of the Samurai into the modern Japan. To Power is their consent and to Death will be their honor...

As the royal family continue on, pursuing the life of the Samurai well into the modern Japan, their children wold play amoungst each other, just like the elders of the royal families had done, but not during important meetings.
The Reiko boys were never close to each other, well, not Jin anyways. He was always far away from his brother Heihachi. Always thinking he was better than him, taking all the glory, remaining silent after each of his victories. Jin would always find ways to improve himself, never letting Heihachi get the best of him. But it was never Heihachi's intensions on becoming greater than Jin ever was. It was his father who loved him more and actually treated him as a son. The little annoying Naoto girl, always talking to the elders about something that had to do with nothing. Sakura had always been the loudmouth of the group. She had the mind of a leader, telling what the others to do and how to do it...correctly. Sweet as a rasberry, she was cute and active. Jin was very proud to call her a friend. Being a half american girl, she had never seen America in her life. But no hopes on going to America have come up yet. Murasaki Tishinaki, the joker amoungst the little royal family children. He'd play pranks of the girls most of the time. Murasaki had come all the way from Korea with his mother when he was only six years old. With more active people around him, Murasaki changed drastically, becoming a sad little ocean dweller to a happy little mischivious child. The smile on his face became more real than Jin's. He developed a crush on Sakura once he laid eyes on her, but the way he reacted would truely mess up his chances in the future on getting with her. Yo Himigashi, the oldest member of the Himigashi clan, which were mainly people who helped the rich give to the poor who helped the rich. Yo never really liked girls, often at times, he'd hiss at Emileza, even when she liked him. He'd sit close to Jin or Murasak, which ever one he felt like sitting next to..too close. The brightly colored Brognaught girl would always sit with Yu, talking about Japan and it's greats. She never took her eyes off the cherry blossoms, embracing the air as it blew past her. Coming from a world that had always loved Japan, her dreams are yet to become true. Well enough that Emileza loved Japan, Kinkashi Ayama, or know as Aya, hated Japan. She was used to the hot desserts around her, the bright orange sun over her head. But out of love from her grandmother, she was convinced to come along. It wasn't until she was 13 when she first showed her affections for Sakura and being a tomboy.
From the start, they all knew eachother. As children, they would be the higher of the project for their high school. The elders of the Royal family would pass along their propriors to their children, the next generation of the royal family...

As their freshmen year began, the Kendo Team was assembled. Slowily but surely, the Kendo team would take the burden of the K.A.T.A.N.A. Project into their wings. They would have to carry swords as a start. This was to get students used to the fact that students had swords in school. Second, it was to get the Kendo team used to having to lead the entire school in everything. Third...well, third was the most important thing of all; defending yourself to the death...on school grounds and maybe soon, the world.
The Modern Japan was about to have a change that was inteded from the birth, the end and the death of the samurai. All from the acts of the Kendo team. They would inspire the school, hopefully, the world in the same. THe royal family would be proud...but at what cost.
