Here's a book that's like taking a seminar rather than sitting and reading: Writing Magic: Making stories that fly by Gail Levine Carson
I havne't finished it despite the fact that it's so small....there are a lot writing assignments I get caught on befoer I say 'to hell with it!' and move on.

I adore this little book.... Heck, once I dropped it in a puddle and now its all water damaged. I have considered buying a new one, but haven't. I love Carson's spunky voice in the book too. This one is also easier to read, and it doesn't drag on about useless info I will not even think about...
