Seeing as this is the Guild for Webcomics & Awesome, I figured your basic hard copy comic books should probably be covered in the General Awesome area.

So what comics do you read when you're not on the internet?
Does your library have a "graphic novels" section?
Do you have a local comic book store? If so, is it a good one?

I'm a huge fan of the Fables series. I enjoy Bigby because he's your typical bad arse Wolverine kind of character, except he does differ from Wolverine in his own respective ways. The idea of all the fables being pushed into the "mundane" world and having to tiptoe around people is an amusing one to me.

In need for more Fables stories, once I was caught up with the most recent issue, I turned to Jack of Fables, a branch off comic about Jack of the Beanstalk. While Jack isn't one of my favorite characters, I did enjoy the few issues that are out for the series and if you're a Fables fan I recommend it.

Deadpool is another one of my favorite comics. I need to catch up on the last few issues of Cable & Deadpool, but other than that I've read just about all of the Deadpool series. I've heard that in the Ultimate remakes (you know, the compilations called "Ultimate Spiderman" or "Ultimate X-men") that he's portrayed differently and that his crazy isn't touched upon, which is disappointing.

Well, what mangas do you read? I've only really read a few:

Utena heart
Mars (only just started it)
Faery's Landing (I think that's what it's called, and only just started that one too)

And then I've picked up a few at the library and read them, but out of order. I've read the Trigun manga, because I absolutely loved the anime.

My most recent series is Rozen Maiden....but my other favorites are Battle Angel Alita, Vampire Game, xxxHolic, Pita Ten, La Portrait De Petite Cosette, and others that I can't think of right now...xD
