Christianity and Metal never mixed well... Metal has always been thrown into the category of Devil worship music, much like The Rolling Stones were back in the sixties. Where as Christian music in general has almost always been a chior and some form of organ or piano, which is what you hear a a church. Therefore Christian Church music = Godlyness rolleyes , Metal = Satan twisted and Christian Metal = Blasphemy evil
Hey, I just turned Metal into Math Class xp

Circle Of Tyrants Christianity and Metal never mixed well... Metal has always been thrown into the category of Devil worship music, much like The Rolling Stones were back in the sixties. Therefore Christian Church music = Godlyness rolleyes , Metal = Satan twisted and Christian Metal = Blasphemy evil Hey, I just turned Metal into Math Class xp Christian music does not equate choir or organ/piano. It just means that the main theme of the song is Jesus/God/insertotherholythemehere-related. Genres can extend from rap to gospel, not just "what you hear in a church". And I severely doubt that using an equal sign in a sentence means you're doing math. Unless, perhaps, you're in Grade 1.
On another note, I agree with Gorypleasure. It's such an irony. But I suppose whoever classifies these songs wasn't necessarily looking at lyric content, perhaps more of the style - guitar riffs/drums/style of singing, etc.

Evanescence don't even have a single element of metal, or even Christianity. Evanescence if anything is more Alternative Rock, and really bad alt. rock at best. And with the release of The Open Door they can add EMO to their genre. The only cool thing about Evanescence used to be Ben Moody until the b***h Amy kicked his a** out due to personal conflicts and now did the damn same to John LeCompt.
