Skin - Peach-white (normal bishounen color)
Build: Fairly masculine

Clothing style: Anything that makes me look like a badass from a video game. (Or simply look at my avatar. Whatever he wears, Zero wears.)

Current situation: Is currently trying to find a way back to Mahora Academy. He sorta got transported to this 'dimension' after a major incident that happened in Mahora Academy.

Name: Benjamin Harris
Gender: Male
Age: 24
Race: detects as human (sealed, actual race unknown)

Occupation: Mahora Faculty (Physical Education Assistant Teacher, "Body Magic" Instructor)

Physical Description:
*Build: large, even for a westerner.
*Height: 6'2"
*Weight: 230 pounds. Most of that is solid muscle, and is noticeable even under a formal suit and jacket.
*Appearance: Caucasian, but quite tanned under a moderate amount of body hair.
*Eyes: deep, dark brown.
*Hair: medium brown that highlights gold under direct sunlight; he keeps his hair relatively short and parts it over his left eye.
*Face: shows his western heritage clearly, with his hooked Jewish nose, squared-off jaw, and heavy eyebrows. He's recently cultivated a neatly trimmed mustache/goatee combo, and has prominent sideburns down to his earlobes; the rest of his face and neck is shaven.

Clothing Style: slacks in khaki or navy, shirtsleeves (both long and short), doc martens, and a tan long coat.

Background: Ben believes he was born to an entirely normal, non-magical mother and father, but that is hardly the case and is something that he should slowly discover over the course of his stay at Mahora.
*In his mind (as he first enters Mahora), Ben was a normal American boy with two loving parents, until his mother died just shy of his third birthday. His father remarried several years later, and he slowly learned to love his stepmother just as much. Then, at the age of eight, Ben saw his father killed in what the media reported as a random terrorist attack. His stepmother survived, though, and moved with Ben back to her homeland Japan. It was then revealed that she was and still is an Iga jounin.
*The deaths of both blood parents drove Ben deep into the Ways of the Iga Onmitsu, and at the age of fourteen he was initiated as a genin. However, he soon became restless and dissatisfied with his teachers "sudden" reluctance to further his skills. In a fit of rebellious youthfulness, Ben demanded the right to a "quest of betterment", which means to travel outside to hidden village to further one's skills; his stepmother got the quest approved, and Ben was off, despite her concerns as to his success.
*She needn’t have worried. Ben immediately set out for the old Kouga province, to locate the Iga's old rival clan. It took a lot of doing, but Ben eventually earned the respect of several Kouga chunin. They "evaluated" him (read: beat him to a bloody pulp while gauging his ratio of successful-resistance -to-futile-struggle), and results convinced the Kouga elders that they had been given an unprecedented opportunity to tweak the noses of their Iga rivals/allies. (see HISTORY below for my explanation of the Iga/Kouga relation as it pertains to this Negima-like universe)
*By the age of twenty, Ben had wrangled out the details of his Iga chunin rank, while retaining contact and the right to take Kouga missions in addition to his assignments from the Iga elders. His latest is the teaching assignment at Mahora Academy... and Ben had no idea he would be dragged into an Epic Battle to Save Two Worlds.

Mage? No (technically. he can't form proper spells, even though he can pull energy from his surroundings the same way an actual mage does.)
Magic and Spells: None. Magic-like abilities listed in "Skills" section.
Activation Key: N/A
Magical Items: None. Has the usual assortment of ninja tools/weapons with his luggage or in a subspace pocket he can access with his ki.
Pactio?: No and he won't, unless he finds some hot mage chick who's likewise interested in him.

SPECIAL NOTE - effects 'Seishin-teki' and 'Kayakujutsu'
*Ben is a "ninja" and thus a ki-adept. However, he does not know the true reason behind his talent for combining Kayakujutsu with Taijutsu. Specifically, he can give "element" to his "body", i.e. adding heat and a bit of flame to a punch, whipping up enough air for a kazetachi ('cutting wind') off a roundhouse kick, or grounding his stance so firmly that he becomes immovable even to the impact of an object with greater mass. What he will find out is that he cannot cast spells.
*What will be revealed to Ben in the RP is that starter wands should not explode when a non-mage tries to cast a spell. That, however, is exactly what happens to Ben when he tries casting.
*Unknown to the onmitsu clans, this ability of Ben's, which they call 'Channeling', has also been identified in the magic world and labeled 'Body Magic'.


HANYOU/MAGE THEORY
*The truth is that Ben can gather and absorb energy from his surroundings, which is a capability that all mages possess. Onmitsu know this ability as 'channeling non-self ki'.
*Ben is actually a hanyou, his mother being youkai and his father being a western mage. However, something about this combination prevents him from properly shaping a spell through a wand or staff.
*Due to the fact that Ben can gather energy like a mage, he does so, then feeds that energy into his Taijutsu. Energy pulled from the air around him adds wind effects, he can leech excess (above human body temperature) heat from most substances and create fire effects, and the same goes for water and earth environments.

HISTORY
True fact upon which my additions are being made:
**The Oniwabanshū was a group of ninja and onmitsu established by the 8th Tokugawa shogun, Yoshimune.

*The Iga and Kouga clans spent many years in competition for the top spot on the then-shogun's list of favorite "tools". However, there came a point where the competition grew so fierce that the 11th Tokugawa shogun, Ienari had to put his foot down. He pit the Iga and Kouga clan's best ninja against each other in a pair of contests: combat and politics. Both clans' representatives drew even in combat, but the Iga rep. proved superior in the political scene (espionage, seduction, and assassination inside a fortified location). Ienari thus banished the Kouga from Kyoto, and bid them to sharpen their blades and skills for physical battle. The Iga he kept close, tasking them heavily in the political arena. Thus, it came to be that Kouga grew strong and stout, while the Iga grew sly and crafty.

*The Kouga discovered ways of training the body to perform incredible physical feats, (example: they crafted the Bunshin from pure speed of movement, and later combined it with manifested illusion to make Kage Bunshin). Thus, their expertise became great in the following disciplines:
2. Taijutsu (unarmed combat, using one's body as the only weapon)
3. Kenjutsu (sword fighting)
6. Sōjutsu (spear fighting)
7. Naginatajutsu (naginata fighting)
10. Hensōjutsu (disguise and impersonation, physical illusions)
12. Bajutsu (horsemanship)
13. Sui-ren (water training)
14. Bōryaku (military strategy)
18. Chi-mon (geography)
However, their skill in the other disciplines grew stagnant.

*The Iga perfected the arts of deception and social intrigue. Also, they had access to the Shogun's court sorcerers, and learned a great deal about manipulating the elements. Thus, their expertise became great in the following disciplines:
1. Seishin-teki kyōyō (spiritual refinement and psychological illusions)
4. Bōjutsu (stick and staff fighting)
5. Shurikenjutsu (throwing shuriken)
8. Kusarigamajutsu (kusarigama fighting)
9. Kayakujutsu (pyrotechnics, explosives, other elemental manipulations)
11. Shinobi-iri (stealth and entering methods)
15. Chōhō (espionage)
16. Intonjutsu (escaping and concealment)
17. Tenmon (meteorology)
Like the Kouga, however, the Iga progressed little in the other nine disciplines.
