Okay, so this is the update thread for all those in my Monday Scion group. The official title for the game is:

The Long Road To Heaven: Book 2, Act 1, Scene 3 "Past Midnight"

The story so far:

(There's too much to go into detail, but the summation is smile The heroic Scion band, having outgrown their original home in Las Vegas have moved on after their hand int the cleansing of Area 51 of the Nemean Plague. Having become just a little too famous a little too quickly, the heroes are forced to take to the road in a small convoy, consisting of Neil on his Indian Motorcycle, Logan driving his relic Hearse, and Captain Rackham transporting the rest of the party in the Relic Winnebago given to the group by Willow Alderson of the Hearth and Kettle.

Once on the road, the heroes stopped to pick up some supplies at a roadhouse in Oklahoma. A short time later, after a body swap, a brutal fight, and the kidnapping of Neil Wyrmslayer, the Heroes find themselves in New Orleans.

Having gone around town a bit, they've found that a vampiric Blood Magician named Manny has been terrorizing the city. More accurately, he's been terrorizing a fellow Vampire by the name of Caleb Price. Caleb's claim of sovereignty over the red light district has lapsed, and Manny is now taking this opportunity to kick Caleb out on his unliving a**.

Caleb, though still a vampire, and still a predator, has been instrumental in the improvements to New Orleans, and most of the donations to the Katrina fund have been made anonymously by Caleb, who was unwilling to watch his favorite city crumble and die. Manny on the other hand is much more destructive, both in spirit and in practice. In order to preserve the status quo, Caleb has enlisted the aid of the heroic scions to help him take Manny down in as final a manner as possible.

Complicating things, is the fact that Manny is not only aware of the Scion's presence, he has also enlisted the aid of Eddie "Tank" Ramirez, Scion of Thor, and Neil Wyrmslayer, Scion of The Hunter, to protect his interests. Neither Eddie, nor Neil are doing this of their own accord however, and are currently mind controlled. Manny's original bodyguard, a gargoyle named Lennox is not pleased about his position being usurped by Scions. The simmering hatred he has for Manny has also nearly reached a boiling point, but due to the power of the blood bond, Lennox cannot act against Manny in anything but speech.

The Heroes have infiltrated Manny's estate, opting for a, kick-the-door-in-both-guns-blazing frontal assault, hoping to catch Manny with his pants down, and timing their attack to coincide with an absence by Lennox.
Kite and Alex have squared off against the brain blown Neil, and Neil has fallen in combat, while Michael has broken off from the group to sort out the issue of a sniper following them.
Angel has been run through with the legendary sword called The Harpe, weilded by the Scion of Hades, Charlie, her former lover, and unwilling puppet of the disembodied soul of Vanity Apalonia, Daugher of Dionysus, now servant of Mikaboshi.

The action has paused just as Alex, William and Logan have cornered Manny in his basement, and in a coordinated assault of glorious brutality and excessive levels of Aggravated damage, had utterly destroyed Manny beyond any hope of retrieval.

Just as they were ready to declare victory, they heard a voice echo throughout the entire house, saying "So, that's how we're going to play? All right, let's play."

Looks like Manny isn't quite dead.

No worries hun, as soon as Angel is back on her feet that bloodsucking SOB is dead... She needs someone to be angry with before she gets her hands on Vanity...

My cane may be gone for now, but I can always just rip out Manny's heart...again
