Megami was awoken by the rumbling of flying crafts above the town she was in. She hadn't gotten much sleep during the night because she wasn't used to all the noise. Her head was nearly spinning.
"Still upset with the surprise-vacation-turned-search event?" Akiro asked, yawning and stretching.
"Of course I am." She copied his yawn. "We wouldn't be in this awful town if they hadn't." Megami scowled a little at the memory of her parents going on a "Married Only" vacation to the south. She wasn't all to sure how much farther she could go. She was starting to feel uncomfortable using English here.
"Well, according to that big map wei looked at in the last town, there's a city called Oxford just a town or two away." Akiro perked his ears and smiled gently. Obviously they were both dirty and tired, and Akiro knew that Megami wanted to get to a city to rest and clean soon.
"Yeah." She tilted her head up and gazed at the morning stars above the ally she was laying in. She would've never done this at home, but she was desperate. "Do we have much in the bag?" Her eyes darted to their bag.
"Not enough to keep us here for more than a week. We need food and all that stuff." Akiro sighed and started to trot out of the ally. Megami need to follow, so she wouldn't be in pain. She picked up the bag, which was getting lighter everyday, and kept pace with Akiro. They trotted to another map, which said Oxford was now within a day and a half by walking.
"What's with all these maps?" Akiro laughed, and they walked even farther, on their way to a city.
