Okay, so when AC first came out a lot of people thought that Zack was the wolf in all the scenes. That theory was later squashed by Square, stating that the wolf represented Cloud's grief and where he felt bad (something along those lines... I think).
But it appears in Crisis Core that they seem to stress the 'dog' theme for Zack; Calling him a puppy many times in the game, and so on and so forth. So what do you guys think? Does the wolf in a way represent Zack, or is it just the fangirls minds being stubborn?

Hmmm...I don't know about him being a wolfy in Advent Children. He is a stalker like Zack and follows Cloud around a lot. I think he is a wolfy though. He acts like a doggy/wolfy most of the time. That's why I like drawing him as one! whee

I really do think that it is Zack, just because he appears next to Zack's grave, and when Cloud is floating, but it's all white, the wolf appears, right after Aeris and Zack were talking about him...and also, what about the earring and the wolf thing on Cloud's clothes? If you think about it, everyone is wearing the pink ribbon for Aeris, but what about Zack? I think the wolf is in remembrance of Zack, but that's just my opinion.
On another note, what about the sword in KH? It's Zack's in bandages, but what symbolism is that? I don't get it. One of my friends says they're gonna explain it in KH3, but I dunno. So does anyone have any idea why he has the sword, and why it's all wrapped up??

Vaatia So does anyone have any idea why he has the sword, and why it's all wrapped up?? It's just for visuals I think. I mean, Cloud has this whole weird Vincent/SOLDIER get up on... I don't think it means anything but I could be wrong *shrug* Also, there are a lot of wolf things around the movie. Tifa, Denzel, and I think Barret are seen wearing wolf rings as well.

I think it's just visuals as well. They probably made Cloud wear Vincent's clothes on top of his own because Vincent's always dark and had a cool scarf/claw thing going on, so they found it fitting to put it on Cloud because he acts like Vincent in Kingdom Hearts, whining about sins. Hmmm...They really like that whole wolfy concept. Wolves represent gloom and darkness, just like the lighting in Advent children, Almost no color therefore gloomy, and almost to dark to see!

o_o I always thought Zack was the wolf, too... I never even heard that comment from Squenix before now.
I guess that makes sense, though. It hung around Zack's grave and the church, and those are really kinda the places most associated with Cloud's guilt and grief.
As for the Kingdom Hearts outfit... I think he's just a Vincent hybrid in that game. The weird red cloak thang, claw glove, [chaos] wing.... I doubt they'll go out of their way to explain anything in 3. (I'm just holding out for more fangirl-inducing love. They've had Sephiroth, Aerith, and Tifa all in Kingdom Hearts games now... Zack would kinda complete the four most popular pairings. And outside of that, he DID finally get his own game....)

Omg, ok, so, I got my PS2 for Xmas, and my friend lent me both KH games. So anyways, I was at Olympus or whatever they call the Hercules world, and when they showed Cloud walking, I screamed "Vincent", cuz I hadn't seen the top half of him yet. Of course when I did, I yelled even louder XD I also had a freaking caniption (Umm, def not spelled right XD) when I saw Cid, and when Yuffie called Leon Squall XD I love the way Squeenix messes with my mind!

I never thought Zack was the wolf until it was mentioned here! <3 It's totally plausible. :]
And, it reminded me of how Genesis called Zack a puppy in CC. xD

And, it reminded me of how Genesis called Zack a puppy in CC. xD Man it seems everyone calls him a puppy in the game! Also helps that he acts like one all the time! xD
