So...we've all done some writing sins...mary-sues...gaping plot holes...whatever.
What's your biggest sin?
Did you ever bother to fix it?
In short, let's all confess over food and drink.
*sets out a table*
Just rap on the table three times, and tell it what you want.
Right..........
Tom is probably my worst, he used to be a major Gary-Stu, complete with angsty past and no effect. He still has his angsty past but it actually affects him now.

Biggest plot hole was in my NaNo.
My group of adventurers went to see a dragon, and was going to get the dragon's gold back.
But they knew nothing about adventuring, so this other group of adventurers taught them what they needed to know.
Now, why didn't that group of adventurers get the dragon's gold back?
>.<

A heroine, A deity On Heroin, or vanity
My biggest sin?
Fortunately, most of my characters have avoided the Mary-sue-isms. Unfortunately, not all were so lucky. My main character in my NaNo was a total Sue. She was an obnoxious one too. I managed to fix her up quite a bit. But now she is still obnoxious (she just is that way, I suppose) and now my story seems inconsistent because Ivi is significantly different than she was in the beginning and I'm too lazy to edit.
To jack their personality Beyond normal humanity.

Urgh. Gary-stu. That, or never finishing any idea or story. Or my comma overuse problem.

Well, I had one problem... when I was writing my Avatar fanfic that included my friends and myself, I just kept the story going without much of a real plot to it... just fight after fight, then a joke, then someone dies... ugh.

My biggest sin is probably not writing enough. The only time I ever tried writing fiction, it was a short story, and out of fear that it would be too long, I used almost no adjectives... Ugh... It was so bland! That, and the main character is one of those lone-wolf hero types... Yes, you can even pull that off in fantasy...

Vanadia Gold not editing anything! I just publish and wait for feed back lol. Same here... I'm sure I've had my fair amount of MS and GS action, though. I do veer towards skeleton characters now though.

Kris. Oh dear lawd, he was one of the worst Gary-Stu characters I'd ever created. In the story he was originally for, he was the youngest (read: born last) of psychic triplets. He was part-demon and had naturally blue hair and silver eyes.
Needless to say, I slashed that down in a hurry once I truly realized what I'd created.
Now, Kris (yes, I kept the 'unorthodox' spelling because it is legitimately used) is an average, if commonly labeled "emo" or "goth" kid. Drug addict, sex addict, and with an abusive boyfriend. biggrin I loffle him so.

My first FOP OCs were total Mary Sues. Not really an angsty past, they were just based on me. They hold a special place in my heart... and brain, considering they're me, basically.
Other than that, I just suck at writing. Also, I don't think that my characters are diverse enough, but I'm trying to rectify that.
