WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK I AM!
Watch the full 27 episodes, and come to me and find a more epic anime. I dare you. No anime is more epic than Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann.
It's a GAINAX production, you know...the guys that brought us Furi Kuri (FLCL) and Neon Genesis Evangeleon. Diebuster and Gunbuster are also on the list of what GAINAX did, but by far Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann is probably the most epic thing they have done. This takes mecha to a whole new level, drastically changing the level for mecha anime everywhere. It takes the word, literally, to galactic proportions.
Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann takes place in a fictional far future where human beings have been forced underground and thrive in isolated subterranean civilizations. These "villages" have no contact with the surface world nor other villages. Since frequent earthquakes damage infrastructure, the villages must constantly expand deeper into the earth—individuals designated to this task are known as "diggers". The story starts off with a certain digger, Simon, a boy whose known as one of the best diggers in the village, yet is shunned by the villagers for only caring about digging. All except one person, Kamina; Simon's "big brother" of sorts, and from there it all spirals out to epic GARness. Note, the spiral and drill being symbolic here. You'll find out what it means after you watch it ;D
Now...WATCH IT! To be honest, it's about over 100x superior to Naruto:Shippuden and it's only 27 episodes long, including a recap episode :3

I love this anime. It's just a pity that wahmbulance many if them died especially nii-san.
But I really love their guts, their love story which in the end so sad. You just have to watch it. IT IS REALLY AN EPIC ANIME...
Promise! In just a day, I watched it and planning to re-watch it again after reading this. biggrin

Coincidence? Destiny? The Lagann was looking for a hero, and Simon just so happened to be at the right place at the right time. The Lagann goes where ever the key is, so who ever finds the key has the power. So really, Simon was either very lucky, or it was his destiny written in the stars (lol, irony) that he would bring everyone out of the darkness.
