"S-So C-cold.." A voice said from a small box. A little Terrier has lost his master and doesn't know where she is. He knew she would be looking from him and he really didn't want her to worry so bad. But he stepped out the box and looked around. The City wasn't what he expected. They just moved here, not to long ago. And he doesn't know anyone or anything around here.

He looked up, snow falling from the dark clouds above him. Seeing glowing eyes from trash cans and other boxes. He started to get frighten of the city as he knew it and ran into the streets see cops and other people, he was so glad his master gave him this collar or he would be in the "Pet Jail" as he knew it. Looking in stores seeing ladies greeting him and small children, petting on him and loving him and quickly left and tried to stay on his mission. Hopefully he could find some help along the way.

Muzzle lifted toward the night sky, Kiran trotted the sidewalks with a rhythmic pitter-patter of his paws. He was no stranger to the city and all it's sorrows. He contrasted drastically with his surroundings, being a light pelted dog. With the gusto of a newborn pup, he could race the streets proudly, scaring the locals and befriending all kinds of odd people and animals.

Tonight was a niveous one that struck cold into even the warmest of hearts. A shivering voice had caught his attention with its curious squeak. The long-haired shook the snowflakes from his body and came to his senses. A new creature had shown his face, and being the introvert he was, Kiran decidedly picked up his pace until coming to a shivering box alongside a ball of fluff. He blinked at it once before tilting his head curiously.

He stopped in his tracked and looks beside him and behind him. Seeing another dog, huger dog, tilting his head at him. Kuri`mu doesn't like to be stared down on. So he moved away from him and growled. "If you want something like a fight. Then come at me!" He said. He doesn't know how tough city dogs are but he had to take his chances.

He didn't want to get hurt.. Nor killed like he saw his friend...

So instead of charging right at him. He softly backed away from him and continued his growling. Making sure he was loud and clear. After he stepped in front of a bakery shop's door he sniffed the air and looks at the door really fast. Seeing cakes, dougnuts and other goodies that humans eat but he still kept his eye on Kiran, his "good" eye.

Kiran lowered his head to the other height and stifled a laugh. This little fuzzball couldn't stand a chance against him, and Kiran knew that all too well. Maybe his size was what sparked such hostility in Kuri'mu. Reguardless, he meant no harm to those who he found lower than him.

"What makes you think you could fight me and live to tell the tale?" he inquired with a ridiculing tone.

By all means, he was in no mood or shape to fight. Tonight was blanketed in snow, one of his favorite weather because of the contrasting temperatures of his long coat and the cold snow. Likewise, Kiran had been sleeping recently and found no desire to scrap with anybody. He found it amusing to toy with this fuzzball, the arrogant being he was.

Kuri`mu stopped his growling and looked at Kiran blank like. He didn't want to think of him as weak. He had a strong heart but his small compound body couldn't do anything much. Probably take off another terrier his size but nothing more. He backed away more, the scent of the bakery foods was gone and past his memory of all the happy times he head. He had to stay focus until someone comes and find him. Or at least give him some back up.

(( D: I hope you don't mind if I throw in Hayashi.. ))

As The little Cocker Spaniel tries to find her masters new lost dog in the wild city, she knows this place like a book. She checks all of the alley ways before checking the streets and found a scent of two dogs. One was a scent she knows really while and another one she doesn't really know of. Hayashi raced to that alley and found her lost friend and a long haired right across from him. She padded in the alley, slowly walking to both of them and started to look at Kiran.

"What do you want with Kuri`mu..?" She asked him harshly, she wasn't in the mood for any tricks of the sort, just right to the point.

With a flick of his tail, he turned his attention to the cocker spaniel defending her friend. Kiran also found this amusing. His eyes gleamed smugly. However, his smugness was rather insincere, as he could never bring himself to be rude to the ladies. Kiran, however was still in the mood to play verbally.

"I can hear the Hallelujah Chorus 'a calling, a savior's here!" he barked with a laugh.

Kiran's laugh, however, was not a mocking one, he was instead laughing at his own joke, showing he didn't mean any harm. Truthfully, he didn't, he just couldn't figure out how to apologize or bring himself back from this fun. Kiran sighed a little, calming down his laughter and began again in a serious tone.

"What's a pretty girl like you doing in the nasty old streets all alone?"

As Kuri`mu felt like he was out of the conversation and out of trouble. He plopped on his bottom and his head. The only thing he hate about the city life is.. About everything really. No one could be trusted but the people that you know when you was in safer places. From the laugh of Kiran, he was either trying to be harm to them or playing them as fool. He couldn't trust him yet. But he watched Hayashi closely, since she knew what she was doing.

A small tilt of confusion came to Hayashi. Why was he being so weird? Most dogs around the city always try to pick a fight. And she is always there to break it up. She doesn't miss anything when it comes to fights. Since she been around this city for most of her life, she knows everyone, but this one. She circled him and looked at him for a moment, ignoring his question. "Where did you come from, long hair.. From the scent.. you haven't been her so long.." She frowned at him.

Kiran watched as Hayashi observed him. It made sense. This was a different part of the big city he'd decided to come to. It was mostly the other side he frequented. Kiran immediately disliked this place; being in unknown territory and all.

"The other side of the city. Suburbs at night with my...owner." Kiran said with a shift of his head backwards.

He narrowed his eyes a little, trying to conceal any sign of apprehension he was feeling in his stomach.

Hayashi knew the other side of the city.. She knew all sides of it. And wondered why she never seen him down there either.. Maybe because every time so roamed, it was at night. She looked up at the sky and noticed it was getting darker. And didn't want to waste so much time in the dangerous streets. She slowly started to walk a little then began to speak. "The other side of the city hmm? Well.. I guess you know the ropes when it comes to everything.. Don't have to explain much.. But you must learn only one thing.." She paused and looked at him.
"I run this town.. So don't think you can get in my way.. You hear me?" She said harshly and walked out of the stuffy alley way.

Kuri`mu nodded slowly to what Hayashi said and whispered. "I had to learn that the hard way.. And it hurt to.." He said with a small whimper, rubbing the arm that she kicked-box him in, wondering where she learned all this stuff from. Which made him more interested in knowing her, and this interesting town. Even though he has been here for about a week.. But first time actually getting out.

Kiran sighed, surpressing a laugh. It'd be a cold day in hell when a girl was to run the city he thought. A small flicker of anger arose in his chest as he watched Hayashi strut away. Kiran turned back to Kuri'mu with a little more friendlier expression.

"Why are you afraid of her? She's seems all talk to me." he inquired.

Truth be told, the spark of anger grew into jealousy the more Kiran thought on it. He'd always seen girls as lesser than him, the typical male he was. Passively, he let the spark go, realizing how ridiculous the notion of any one dog "ruling the streets" was.

Hayashi looked around the city from out of the dark, stuff alleyway. Seeing not much like she could if she was in the apartment. She could see anything and usually stays in there unless there is trouble. And other dogs usually notify her before anything gets to crazy. She looks behind her and looks at Kuri`mu. Wondering what is taking him so long. She found him, he should be fighting for his life just to get back safely.

Kuri`mu looked at Kiran with his gentle eyes. "Well.. You see.. When I first met her.. We was living in the suburbs.. So.. She kind of kicked me in the arm and penned me down the first time we met. She was crazy. But after knowing her, she is really sweet. Its just that she can't trust so many people and dogs into her life.. Or she'll might get hurt.." He said, taking a long, nice yawn after talking.

The last part Kuri'mu said struck a minor chord of devastation in his heart. She might get hurt...how well he knew how it felt to be played the fool. A rush of sympathy overwhelmed him.

"Listen. I won't hurt you. I don't intend to. You've done nothing wrong. Nor your friend." Kiran said to Kuri'mu, finally coming clean.

"Could..maybe I could speak to her, though? It might do her, you know, good to meet someone who can sympathize with her." Kiran added.

Hayashi sighed and walked to a wall. Waiting for Kuri`mu.. She wondered what he was talking about. But she guess it was something that wasn't really important. Maybe it wasn't even in her concern.. But she inched a little just to listen so they wouldn't really know that she was doing anything at all.

Kuri`mu shrugged and looked at her. Seeing that she was paying them no mind. "Go right ahead.. Just be warned.. She tends to eat off your head if you say something worry.." He said jokily. He slowly walked out the alley and was frighten. Slowly sight and crawling in a box until Kiran and Hayashi was done talking.

Kiran watched Kuri'mu skitter back into his box an smiled warmly to himself. He though Kuri'mu had the right idea. Just to hide from the world innocently until it was safe to come out. To sit in solitude, while the world is in turmoil.

He then turned to Hayashi and walked towards her less menacingly than he had previously. Kiran was gathering up words to say to her every step he took. With a twitch of his ear, he finally came within hearing distance and spoke.

"Your friend'll be fine. I swear, I'm not a bully." he said to her calmly. "One thing, though. You claim to 'own' the city. If so, then why do I get the feeling you're lying through your teeth?"

Hayashi looked at him with a frown on her face. What was he even talking about? He doesn't even know her to say that she was lying. For all she knew he could be the one who is lying. She wouldn't take such words and walked away from him. Dragging the box that Kuri`mu was in with her out in the city streets. Going around the corner. Taking a last look at Kiran before she stuck her tongue out at him and cleared her throat. "I'm not claiming nothing.. Its the truth.. If you don't believe me.. Thats on you.. But you can ask every dog here and they'll say that I do own this city.. And I make it safe for all the dogs.." She said and continued to drag the box that Kuri`mu was in.
