Scary Go RoundNot so long ago a friend recommended this webcomic to me, saying something to the effect of "It's definitely a Soiled Rainbow kind of comic, I can't believe you haven't read it yet." (Outside of Gaia I'm known mostly as Soiled Rainbow, btw). Up until recently I'd kept that at the back of my mind until, while reading Octopus Pie, I clicked on a link provided by Meredith; apparently the creator of Scary Go Round was giving a top 20 albums of 2007 and, being the music collector I am, I went to see what the creator said about music and came out liking what I read. That said and done, I started reading the comic and was happily surprised to find it was definitely a worthwhile read. As said by the creator: Quote: Scary Go Round is a comic that I've been making since 2002. It started off as a comic about barmaids Tessa and Rachel, then it became more about Shelley Winters and her bizarre escapades. In recent times it is kind of a split between the Shelley Show and Tackleford Grammar School. It's always evolving. So why not give it a try?

Oh wow, that's kinda bizarre. I found this comic maybe a year, year and a half ago when I first got into comics. I read through the archives and then forgot about it, but recently I was thinking back to when I started and I remembered I liked this strip but had no idea how I found it or what it was called. Thanks for bringing it back up! It truly is a small world.

So now when I start thinking about something more often than I tend to, I keep an eye out for it because I assume I'll be coming across it again, and I usually do. Like a movie, for instance. A month ago I was thinking about the movie Toy Soldiers and remembering how it was an amusing movie and the like. Soon after I stumbled across it on the television. The same thing has happened with me and comics as well. That's kind of what happened with me and Something Positive. 3nodding

When something is at the top of your mind, like when you learn a new word or are thinking about a movie, it seems to pop up more often than before. In most cases you're just more likely to be paying attention when it does pop up, giving the appearance that it came about because you were thinking about it. It's pretty nifty. Speaking of recovering movies from childhood, go Aladdin! I didn't appreciate how funny Robin Williams was as the Genie and the salesman at the beginning of the movie when I was a kid.

That makes sense (plus I don't hardly ever watch TV, so, ya know, haha). Oh yeah, Aladdin definitely has a few things in it you don't get until you're older. A bunch of kids movies do and I think it's done with the thought that "Hey, there are going to be parents sitting through this movie too."

It was awesome!!! xd xd Bad Machinery is indeed excellent. It's like Mr Allison knew we'd all have separation anxiety without SGR, and planned the smoothest transition into more awesome comickry possible. Lucky duck! I'd like to meet him.
