 By the time she and her companions had made it back to the clearing where they had agreed to meet she was grateful. She was tired and sore and she was going to give Teliko's a earful as soon as she got a hold of him. At least Dynatos had kept his mouth shut the rest of the trip and had at least helped like he should have. She was getting far too round to be wandering around for long distances.

 He had made it back safely and in good spirits, just as he had been when he first came to this spot. The banter between he and Lady Luck was always something that lifted his spirits... He could truthfully say, for once, that he had missed the high strung mare.
His good mood was called to an abrupt end upon seeing the steel gaze of the Dark Lady. He coughed to clear his throat, trying to also clear any trace of smile from his lips and laughter from his voice. "I... See that everyone has made it back safely. Good."

"Everyone plus one. Dynatos has joined us." She shifted her weight a bit. "I'm sure he and the others have some catching up to do ... Teli, a word." It was not so much a question as a demand.
She turned carefully and trotted toward the small clearing that they had used for their private conversation before they had left to find the others.

Something was... Wrong... Or, rather, if it wasn't wrong it wasn't quite right either... Something that he couldn't quite put his hoof on and he had a feeling that it was going to be shoved right back at his nose.
He followed after her, watching her for a moment as he tried to figure out what was amiss. She had never reacted to him quite like this before. "Is something amiss, Dark Lady?"

She stopped once they were a good bit away from the others and turned back to look at him. "I want you to take a good long look at me and then you can tell me what is wrong."
It was rather obvious. She had no idea how he could have missed it this long.

Knowing that she cared little when he let his eyes trail along her body (as much as he enjoyed the view) he kept his eyes on her face. "You seem to be in some sort of a tissy over something that is my fault, judging by the way you've dragged me off when we are supposed to be discussing matters of importance."

She sighed and shifted a bit sideways. "I'm pregnant Telikos." And rather round at the moment. She really should have come back before they found Tapanga and Dynatos but she never had been good at not pushing herself.

He wasn't sure why but, for some reason, the news hit him like cold water swallowed far too fast after a long run. His brow furrowed as he tried to figure out which he was more; hurt or confused.
He shook his head, deciding to be neither as he took a step back, regaining a moment of his dignity. He straightened himself out, holding his head high. "I... Suppose I should wish you and whomever the father may be luck and well wishes... And offer my protection to you until they are born." Dynatos... She had mentioned him... They were going to have words and they weren't going to be pleasant. The other stallion would be lucky to make it out of the 'words' in one piece.

".... Whomever the father might be? Who, in your rattled little mind, think it could be?" She snorted and stalked toward him. "Are you insuinating that i would have trotted off and offered myself up to the first stallion that came along?"
What had possessed him to think it was any one other than himself? He had been with her before they left and she was a few months round. Perfect for how long they had been appart.

"Trotted? No, of course not. You aren't the sort of mare to do that... But there are stallions..." And, as far as he was concerned, Dynatos was one of them. He had seen the way that the other reacted around mares... Never mind that he had never heard anything ill about him and that he never seemed to stray far from Tapanga.
"No matter. Who you chose to let..." Who she... Chose to let... It was beginning to sink in, slowly but surely; the moment that they had shared before parting ways... The time that had passed. "I... Lady..." Again he was overcome with the strange feeling of something hitting him hard in the stomach and an odd lightness of head as if the ground were trying to shift beneath him.

"If you are thinking that i would have let Dynatos do such things, or that he would even do such things, i'm going to kick you in the head." She didn't know what she was going to do with him.
They had spent time together and here he was not even realizing that she was carrying his foals. "They are your foals Telikos"

"They... Are..." He closed his eyes for a moment, letting his mind process those words that came from her mouth. His foals. His... And she sounded so angry about it.
"I..." He shook his head, unable to keep a soft chuckle from sounding... Perhaps a part of his mind had cracked. "If I said to you what I would have said to any other lady under such a circumstance you would never speak to me again... I doubt you wish to hear reassurances that all will be well; for me to vow that I will be here for you. I wasn't there... You have come this far without me already..."

She sighed and hung her head a bit. She had done something stupid and given into a moments comfort and had brought this about. They had things to deal with and they did not need the complications of little lives to take care of in the process.
She was not usually a lady who needed to be told everything was alright but maybe just this once she had wished for it. Just this once she had wanted him to be his usual self.
"Yes, they are .... and i have come nowhere without you. You know damn good and well that it is easier to stand strong when you have someone beside you who can hold you up when you crumble." She had only come as far as she had because she had to keep Teli in line.

He rocked on his hooves for a moment before stepping closer to her, brushing his cheek against hers before slowly running it down alongside her neck. "Somehow... I will make this right, Dark Lady. No harm shall come to you or your little ones while I am here to guard you... Assuming you will permit me the honor of doing so."

She rested her head against his neck and sighed. "No Teli .. We will make sure no harms comes to them." She wasn't helpless yet and she wouldn't be so for a while yet. Then once they were born she could rest for a bit and they could both take care of them.
