Since this is a Shikamaru AND Neji guild I thought it would be nice to talk about the two individually and have individual pics be placed here.
So folks what do you think of this lazy son of a... deer...
Personally to me he represents the cultural minority of the show; intelegence. Instead of focusing on Naruto he is in away the catalyst to open a door to the entire world that Naruto lives in. For those who have read all of the manga up to date, might know what I am talking about.
In esence for such a lazy man, and absolute boar in almost everything else he does, he is REALLY cultured. He knows alot about the countries and villages around him and when ever other villages are involved he always seems to be there to offer a helpful hint in the right direction.

I'd have to agree with what you said.
He's my favorite character.
It's because I see so much of myself in him. Even though he's lazy, he will do whatever's necessary to look out for his friends. (I do the same.)
Plus, his attitude on life, and just pretty much anything about him makes me grin.
SPOILAR: Though, I really don't like how he started smoking. DDDDD<
It just makes me want to be able to go into the manga, rip off one of his sleeves, and slap a Nicorette patch on him. (But, I'd have to ogle the toned arm before doing so. xD)

Sanee I'd have to agree with what you said. He's my favorite character. And...I'll have to post some more when it's not so late. (I can't really think of anything right now.) I will try to post as many pics as i can find of him, he is a great character and I love his out look on life it is so, so uplifting.

Shika is a very interesting character. I'll admit to having not read the manga, (not enough Neji in it to motivate me) but I probably will soon since I've heard so much about Shika in there. Shika is tied with Gaara for my second character actually, but sometimes Shikamaru's intelligence and striking level of maturity, wins my heart all over again. I have a soft spot for mature people. XD He might be lazy, but he's not any less awesome.
You all saw when he nominated Neji for leader of the second squad during the Sasuke retrieval arc and when he put himself with Neji saying that he was right and that they knew more than the others. *giggle*
Ahem. Gaara only wins over sometimes when I feel particularly close to him. Like when he delivered that speech to Kankuro. I fapped and fell all over myself trying to hug him.
So, for additional information, I like seeing Shika as Seme though admittedly he'd be too lazy to fight with Neji over positions. @.@

Youkofox You all saw when he nominated Neji for leader of the second squad during the Sasuke retrieval arc and when he put himself with Neji saying that he was right and that they knew more than the others. *giggle* Was this when him and Neji were spying on the coffin, and they got blowed up? Yes, I know I said blowed up. I don't quite remember Shika saying that in the English version. o_o (It's been a while since I saw it in Japanese. Meh. Anyway, I still love that scene. heart That's probably the only canon scene of those two we'll ever see. Only since everyone else and their mother makes Neji seme. Which, kinda goes with their personalities better, but whatever. Even though I'd really most rather see them "switch". Nah- It's episode...uhm....god...uhm! Okay, Shikamaru said something to the effect of 'Neji, you'll lead the second squad to go after Sasuke' when he planned on him and Naruto to stay behind to deal with Jiroubu- the first Sound Nin that fed off chakra(fat guy XD)
Well as we all know that doesn't happen 'cause Jiroubu takes that time to interrupt their picnic. Then Chouji takes over, blah, they leave and in the next episode we see everyone discussing Chouji's odds against Jiroubu. Shika has faith in him but Kiba and Naruto dont and Neji says something along the lines of 'He may not stand a chance but...that's what fighting is.' And Shika is all 'Yeah, me and Neji know more than others...' And... something else, but I'm always too busy fapping over that previous line to pay attention. XD
That's the japanese version anyway. I have no clue what they say in English. The only episodes I've watched in English were 110, 111, 116, 117. the gathering of Team Shikamaru and Neji's fight against Kidoumaru simply because I love those episode so much. =D /fangirliness
Anyway, I'll post some Neji and Shika pics in their respective threads later. =D

Ah, thank you for clearing that up. =]
Yeah, I don't think they said it in the English version. ( I simply watch them over in English since I have nothing better to do.)
I would've had to been really spaced out to miss that.
Heh, I call it the "Sasuke barrel". As in playing a "friendly" game of "Toss the Sasuke barrel". (In the episode after Neji's AWESOME fight.)

I guess I didn't mention that I really think all those pictures of Shika Divine posted are hot. No srsly. I'm in love with the first one. And the rest. But really the first one though I see what Sanee means about bedroom eyes in the other one XD

I have avery small collection of Shika-moo. I'll see if I can post some sometime. Fun fact: Betcha didn't know that the voice actor for Shikamaru in the Japanese version, Morikubo Shoutarou (or the other way around...I can't remember.) is a singer! No, srsly. I'm not sure how popular he is, but I am listening to a song by him right now. And, I keep LOL'ing since I keep imagining Shika doing the singing. xd Here's some audio links to some songs I like: Oh!-ENKA!(Not a real song by him, as seen with "Akamaru" barking in the middle, but it's still fun to listen to.)
