Wow, time sure flies by fast.
I swear it was just September >w>
Anywho, the thirdannual GEW is only a little over three months away so I guess it's time to start some planning. I brought up the idea of a possible theme this year a couple months back in Duct Tape and was thinking tentacles (since we all love them). So...
Theme, no theme?
Tentacles ok?
What transgender to host this year?
Contest and event ideas (any repeat from past years you would like to see)?
Etc.. etc...?

Tentacles is ok, I suppose.
Of course an ava-contest and maybe an art contest (lolhentaitentaclerape). Besides that... a writing contest on who has the longest tentacle?
Also, where to host it and how are we going to attract more than 10 people? D;

Tentacles are good. But not sure how I feel about a theme though.
We need to have at least one avi contest.
Writing contests are hard to grade and take quite a bit of time.
No clue which Transgender we want to host it.
Where do we normally host it?
We had more than 10 people last year didn't we?

So far it's been hosted in the Gaia events forum and in the recycle bin.
And yeah, we had a lot more than 10 people last year. Over 100 in participants alone (not that those are bragging numbers, but still XD).
Meh, 'who has the longest tentacle' sounds kind of boring as a topic for writing. Though it does capture tentacle+elitism.
As long as we keep a character limit on a writing contest, it's not too bad.

Yeah, 300 is good.
As far as past contest to bring back (and fit to theme), I was thinking the guestbook raffle weas good, as well as the toilet pic quest contest (maybe still toilets or people with something phallic tentacle like in the pic with them?).
Should the av contest focus on anything specific elitist/tentacle wise?
Multiple av sections? (Richest tenticale monster/Most stuck up school girl/etc...)

I didn't really appreciate the toilet contest, 't was a bit too cheap.
By the way, you can't say "tentacle" without saying "C'thulhu". I mean...you can, but it's just not the same.
Maybe a Lovercraftian roleplay?

I totally agree with Aldo about the lovecraft thing.
Maybe we could include that as part of the writing contest...
Also we should have a mention of the classic Legend of the Overfiend!

It doesn't have to be toilets. Just a pic quest contest. Maybe people with something tentacly in the pic with them?
Would Legend of the Overfiend push the site's boundaries though?
I don't know much about Lovecraft either >w>
What about a Tentacle based trivia contest where four or five users get to try to answer questions first? Or maybe make it open to everyone and have it run one or two times a day in the main thread at revolving times (so like 5pm and 9pm one day, then 8am and 12pm the next or something)?

If there's one thing I would like to try on Gaia its a phalla. 20 participants, 20 villagers trying to find 4 cultists among them. It would be quite some work, especially because there's zero social control on Gaia, but it would be interesting to see. The winners could get a prize, of course. That, or just a roleplay without any prizes attached. --- pic quest would be awesome. I think it would be fantastic to request people to make pictures of tentacle monsters. Let's see how creative people can be. 3nodding
