-THE CITY::
-Average Temperature:
The weather is mild year round, and the climate effects the precipitation's greatly. Either the sky is over casted or rain is falling from the heavens, and nary is there a day where the sun shines. The winds do not effect the city, because of the great walls built around the outskirts. Though, with the rain comes a cooling effect. Generally it is mild, slightly brisk but never too cold.
-Condition:: Unfortunately inside the city, rarely do plants grow that depend on sunlight, meaning the city can not supply various staples of food due to the lack of sunlight. That is likewise how it received it's name.
-The Dark Side [Referred to as DS]:
Where slaves of evil run amok. It's a place, thousands of dwellings for theives, demons, crooks, swindlers, scammers and the all around bad guys dwelling. It's likewise the darker side of town, where every shadow should be looked at in suspicion and no street vendor can be trusted. If anyone venture on that side of town, they should arm themselves, it's a hard to stay alive in it, but worse to come out.
-The Light Side Referred to as LS]: Is not as bad as it's sister side, perhaps, but still has an issue of crime. The streets are heavily watched and patrolled, since though most of the funding goes to the productive and more beautiful city half. People are seemingly friendly, but in actuality no one trusts one another, thus kindness is faked. LS is renowned for it's brilliant structure of white materials and stone. The overall wellbeing of the richer half is far better than DS.

Let Me Feel:+:Let Me Taste
I Love Loving All With False Love

Lord Zerphos

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.
Love was the divine creation God gave his subjects from his own heart. But taken in the hands of those who do not respect it, love turns into nothing more but a greatly overused expression and almost a worthless thought. Zerphos reflected last nights events, feeling slightly uncomfortable in the human body he was using. It wasn't that is was awkward for him to be in the situation he was, but after a while, the same body was...a bore. He had successfully slept with several women in the past few days, merely passing through them out of boredom. Nothing amused him anymore, and often times he'd simply seduce people for a few minutes worth of entertainment. His whole heart wasn't into what he was doing, which in turn showed that those actions weren't out of love, but out of physical attractions to humans. With a yawn Zerphos kicked his vessel awake, fumbling to properly get out of the bed sheets without waking up the brunette woman that slept in the nude peacefully in the bed beside him. Covering her up he decided to wander around the rich man's apartment, he himself half in the nude and no reason to feel awkward. Was he not here, several months ago, though with a different set of people? Somehow upon reflecting his actions, he suddenly realized he was stuck in a rut of people.

Within moments, and without a second thought, Zerphos left his host, now a ghost like figure staring down at a crumpled body on the floor. He nudged the man once, satisfied that he wouldn't awake for quite some time. "Perhaps...it is time to go looking once more. I have spent a month with this couple...enough to make them happy. And if I do say so myself..." He licked his thumb and forefinger. "She was quite satisfying likewise..that poor b*****d doesn't deserve her." He narrowed his eyes, a pleasured smile gracing his lips. "But it matters not...his mind will stay asleep...for a long long time." Giving a short laugh he left the man, and his lover in the apartment, venturing into the city for another adventure. People couldn't' quite see him, he was to them as visible as a ghost, and even so, only a selected few...those who strongly believe in the supernatural, and the ultimate worshipers of religion are able to catch a glimpse, a shimmer of his form. Zerphos wasn't worried about being seen, since it would be nye unlikely for another being to venture his way and follow his trail.

It wasn't long before he found his target, a single woman, perhaps the age of twenty, standing below staring at a young man in the shop window. Zerphos drifted in between people and looked over her shoulder. "How sweet...." His mood was reasonably fair, and it was the time where he felt giving. "Shall I grace thee with...luck perchance fair maiden? Make your flesh so desirable...that the slightest movement send a man off onto wild fantasies?" He questioned his oblivious target, already knowing his decision. Stretching out Zerphos struck his hand through the back of her head, his ghost like hand extracting the foul sin upon her body. "Now..." Satisfied with his work Zerphos rose in the sky, watching a scene unfold, and as he predicted, it did bring her future lover out of the store and closer. But all the happiness was soon making him bitter. A new plan slowly began to formulate, him labeling the two subjects to part of a torturous love trap he was slowly setting up. It would be fun, Zerphos could not deny it, and he did have nothing better to do with his time, since being able to live for an eternity provides all sorts of opportunities to do as one pleases.

Lady Fleur

Fleur yawned softly, her azure eyes fluttering open gently, streching her wings outside of Zerphos's dwelling, watching him, in that horrible human form, wake up and walk around. Temptation was there to just pounce on him and take him, forcing him to see her. Wasn't she as good as any pathetic human woman? What purpose did those pathetic little creatures have? They were worth nothing, except perhaps as fodder for chaos and destruction. She growled softly, watching him leave to wreak havoc somewhere else, and her gaze venemously turned on the brunette. Poor girl. She'd have to pay for the months of Fleur's pent up anger and frustration at the women and couples that Zerphos had been bringing in. The poor creature didn't even know what was going to hit her. Fleur flexed her wings, both her natural, tainted ones, and her mechanical pair, soundlessly. Looming over the bed, where the brunette slept, she almost purred with pleasure at what was to come. Her eyes glowed a distinct icy blue, swirling with the colors of a raging ocean, and the woman's eyes snapped open as she screamed in pain. This wench would pay for touching her Zerphos the way she had been, for making him pay more attention to her instead of Fleur.

The woman wrenched off the bed, falling with pained screams to the floor, the sound beautiful to Fleur, only egging her on more. Blood started to pour from the woman’s mouth, as Fleur’s mental visions crushed her insides, while the tainted Angel laughed with pleasure. The woman clutched at her throat, trying desperately to call for help from the man, but only able to gurgle, not like he’d hear her. He was out cold because of Zerphos. Fleur got on her knees with a gentle smile, cocking her head and gripping the woman’s throat, pushing in her thumbs to the woman’s trachea, easily puncturing the skin, and covering her hands in crimson liquid. The woman couldn’t even scream in pain anymore, she was just….bleeding to death while her killer stared down at her in carnal pleasure.

What beautiful faces women made when they were dying. The color draining from their skin, making it an ivory to rival an angel’s pure skin, the wide-eyed look in their eyes, as if they were making love to their killer. The way their nails clawed at you, and their bodies bucked as you forced them down, enjoying every second of their demise. The woman finally gave one last bloody gurgle, and Fleur got up with a smile of pleasure. She purred, humming as she walked around the house, looking for a new dress to wear, as the one she had on now was sullied. She sighed, shaking her head and rifling through the dead woman’s things, finally settling on a gauzy dress that was meant to be a sort of cocktail ballroom combination, but suited her purposes. She had to gussy up for Zerphos if she was going to go find him. Purring as she stole one last glance at the bloodsoaked floor and sheets, wondering how blisfull it would be if the man ever woke up and saw the massacre. With that, she floated outside of the dwelling, trying to find Zerphos by wandering aimlessly through the sky, looking around for her dearest.

Finding him she purred to herself, floating down to hover by him, floating above his head, curled over his body as if framing him with her own in the air, looking him in the face upside down. She smiled coyly, looking at her hands in wonder, confused as to why they were still dripping with blood. She shrugged, purring and licking some of the woman’s blood off, showing off the spoils of her exploits and then giving Zerphos a pointed ‘look’.

”You keep losing your toys, Zerphos….I‘ve been patient the last few months with you, but keep this up much longer, and I‘ll get more violent,” she chirpped happily, as if they were having a regular conversation.

Let Me Feel:+:Let Me Taste
I Love Loving All With False Love
Dear Lord. Forgive Me For Being So...Desired.

Lord Zerphos

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Time was passing far to slowly for his tastes, and the humans of course didn't make the situation any better. Yes, as he had planned they were of course talking excitedly, connecting and begining to fall in love with one another, but this process, when not experienced first hand was rather boring for Zerphos. He gave a casual yawn, the dawn becoming brighter, and for once in a long while, the sun actually rose it's warm beams reaching down to touch everything. The weather was odd, because on a normal basis it would rain, yet today it was far to warm and bright to be considered normal. Zerphos didn't like the sudden change either, being a creature of habit at times, he was accustomed to being and living with rain and that certain human body for quite some time. With a sigh he glanced suspiciously at a few other people, who were staring at the couple he had created. "Hmm...perhaps I put a tad bit too much in the miss." Putting a finger thoughtfully to his mouth he was brooding on what to do with his day. So far, aside from them, nothing else was planned. Havoc would be mandatory, and he doubted he could go the day without a kiss from a fair maiden. But his senses jumped alive at the presence of another fallen, looming near.

"Must people always interrupt me while I am working...?" He retorted, ignoring whoever it was and whatever they spoke of, still glancing down. Within his normal circle of followers, none truly deserved a kind voice or praise, they were all merely tools.. But upon realization of her, one of the few "others" he kept contact with, he greeted her with a broad smile and a bow. "Well, if it isn't Lady Fleur....and perchance why are your hands stained and dripping in crimson liquid?" His smile wavered and the realization of what she had just done reached him. "Ah...don't tell me..." Looking back down on his latest project he sighed. "I suppose you went cleaning my trail yet again? I do not understand why you find it pleasurable to kill behind me, people become uneasy with such a trail of murders. But you are your own person never the less, and I suppose you...are just looking for some fun? My toys are quite pleasurable if I do say so myself." Zerphos stated, the smallest smirk visible on the corners of his mouth. His wings twitched lightly and a shiver was sent up his spine. With narrowed eyes Zerphos glanced at Fleur and then past her. Something surely was not correct, at least to his senses. It didn't seem as if the humans were aware of anything peculiar.

Ignoring the odd feeling Zerphos continued his light smile and turned away from the two humans below to face her. Running one hand elegantly through his hair he took the other to cross around his stomach. "Please though, Lady Fleur, do tell what brings you to this city...nevertheless to me?" He looked at her, his eyes half closed out of slight sleepiness, it wasn't easy to please a woman all night long. But I was certain no one would be able to seek me out this time...I suppose I'm loosing my touch. But it matters not. He drifted a few inches above his position, staring down at her expectantly. Zerphos's blackish grey wings were slightly ruffled, a sign that he'd recently crawled out from underneath someones skin and was in the open for quite some time. "Perhaps.....you just like watching me..." He mused, a kind tone in his voice, and his thoughts exact. She is a kind girl..and one of the few who actually dare to talk to me. Though sometimes I wonder if something is off with her...perhaps...no...I would doubt that highly. Zerphos was looking at her with the same gaze as he always would use. His face, was highly unreadable, making it nye impossible to guess his thoughts on the moment. Taking his hand down from his hair Zerphos crossed it over his arm, latching his fingers loosely in his grey sash.

You lived, ate, developed, reproduced, died. That was the basics of humanity and existence as she knew. Nothing varied, nothing changed, nothing was ever out of order and place. It was an inevitable future that awaited all, and Letum, better known as Death, would be one to know.

¤ d ea t h INCARNATE;; > letum ''

Silence reigned supreme throughout the darkened room, its deafening presence marred only by the occasional scuffle of feet outside the locked door or a muffled whimper of what could've been a cry. It had been like that for a while now, ever since the woman had collapsed, exhausted already with having fought off the invisible fiend. Killed by a jealous flower, a painful death. Of course the latter she had learned merely by observing as the process took place, it wasn’t her job to intervene, after all. And, once the fiend had left the bloody pulp of a human behind, all of those whom she had taken seemed relieved to see her form. Then, they would silently plead to be taken and they would stretch out their arms above their head. 'Please...', she remembers to hear them whisper. '...please.' After it, their body would shake and their muscles would clench. It was at this point that the creature would descend upon the hapless being a take a drop of gull from her sword. They would taste the sweet liquid and feel their body growing cold. They would fear for a minute, before they would relax, their soul slowly drifting away from their body as foreign warmth embraced them. "Come..." she would then speak to them and pointed them to their future resting place.

Now, she was seated on the edge of the bed, pale lids veiling her eyes. Letum's lips curled lightly as her thoughts strayed to the fate the woman would meet. She had been your average human, not a saint, she would admit, but neither a villain. She didn’t know she was dying, like a lucky few know, and thus, she could not go to every man and woman she had wronged and beg for forgiveness. She had no form to end this brilliant exhibition with a clean conscience. A shudder ran through her back, allowing goose-bumps to crawl up her skin. Letum shut her eyes tight and released a heavy sigh, throwing an unnerved gaze back at the woman. She stared back for a minute, lips agape, unable to understand what this winged creature was.

              It was time.

Rising to an easy stance, the woman threw a furtive glance upon the relatively empty room, and with sultry steps made her way towards her. "Don't fear... You are already been called for." She softly explained, turning to look at an elderly man that lay besides her. He would be tried as well, but would be find guiltless of her death. And of that, she had little doubt. Quickly, quietly, she slid the sword out from the sheath and turned to the unnerved girl. "...It will be painless. I promise." She coughed and her body bucked, her feet and hands clenching in pain.

With a saddened smile, she ran an ivory hand above the woman’s brow, and held the sword above her lips. "Come now..." As the words were spoken, the sword seemed to weep, and from its blade came a tiny droplet. It was clear, crystal clear, to be more precise, and it shone with terrible might. For a minute, it temptingly held unto the blade with all of its might, before it dropped down to the woman's tongue. There was a sharp intake of breath from the human's part, before her body relaxed. With tender eyes she watched as the spirit parted with the body. No pain was felt. No sorrow. No fear. Only warmth and ever abundant peace. “Go now, your God awaits…”

Cautiously, as it only came natural to her, she left the quaint apartment behind as well as the screaming silhouettes of the man whom had just discovered the body.

The streets were silent, heavy, devoid of motion or sound, besides the occasional rustling of forgotten refuse, or the sound of some stray animal padding through a puddle of stagnant water that lay in the cobblestone roads. The silence which pervaded the sunlit streets seemed to have a life of its own, as it flowed into every corner and alleyway, blanketing the city in its eerie and inescapable grasp. The air was warm and damp, heavy with the scent of yet another rain storm, yet the clear skies above denied its presence. Windows were shut and barred, the doors, locked and bolted to not only ensure the security against the darkness that invaded the streets, but also in a hopes of keeping those inside from leaving as well.

A moment passed and a soft wind begun, causing the soft, cool day to suddenly become painful and dangerous. “Hades, my brother... things are not well in this Earth. Has the Apocalypse already begun?” She sighed heavily and shook her head. Of course it hadn’t. With a loud crack of bones and the sound of flesh stretching and being torn, twelve wings came to view. From their origin, they were a light flesh in color, equaling Letum’s own back, but as they distanced themselves from their origin of birth, the wings became a dark, charred charcoal color. With uneasy cracks and pops, the wings were tried and stretched as it had been a long time since they were last used.

“No, all is not well in this Earth…”

Fleur sighed, shaking her head and frowning while the blood leeched off her hands and went to her wings. She frowned more, while he looked down on her while the process took place, spining in a circle to look at how far the crimson stain on her wings had grown this time. Oh. Not much, it had only been one woman. She'd been restraining herself quite well in fact. She purred with delight as he talked to her. She loved the sound of Zerphos's voice, even if he kept himself unreadable. But her wings suddenly twitched, warning her of something. And she looked behind her, cocking her head innocently and curiously. Shrugging it off, she floated up to him, flapping her wings once to stay eye level. She smiled gently and kissed his cheek with a small, content laugh.

"I am always happy to follow you Zerphos, my dear....Though you do make me jealous. All these human women, and you can't steal a glance at me?" she chimed with a smile, though on the inside, it hurt to think how true those words were. It was true, she was one of the few he kept in contact with and was fond towards, but it didn't change the fact he never treated her like a man should treat a woman. She sighed, she had always hinted at what he meant to her, but he never seemed to understand. As for the rest of his banter, about her pleasure with the killings she made every so often behind him....well, that part was true.

"Mmm...perhaps I do kill too much.....I cannot say I do not take pleasure in it though, my dear, since your toys look so beautiful when they die, much like you see them when you're shamelessly sleeping with the harlots." She then pouted, crossing her arms with obvious distaste for humans, looking down at the human women below, hating each one of them. "Have I not told you before, dear one, that a human vermin once took something precious from me? I have not forgiven her, for I fear she still holds it captive....I hate each one who seduces a being such as us. They have no right to touch the divine, not when we were meant to be with eachother, instead of the humans." She blinked at her own boldness in that statement alone, and looked away with a blush, her voice growing soft, and gentle, her usual demeanor, unusual for her when she'd just finished a kill.

"Perhaps....I DO like watching you....what then?" she spoke softly, sitting delicately on top of an electric pole, looking up at him for a moment, then stealing a glance down at the tips of her second, mechanical pair of wings. She glared at them, her feelings always transparent, as she always had been. She hated those things, they who tormented her, made her so different from her precious Zerphos. Why could she not look more perfect, like he wanted? If only she could, perhaps he'd see her as a woman finally...

Then her head snapped up and she looked in the direction she came, cursing softly under her breath. "Damn her. Stupid death, always trailing behind me, giving me lectures on how I shouldn't kill with abandon." With that, she crossed her arms, looking away from that direction defiantly, but then again....that presence, and the day itself was bothering her in the back of her mind, and she reached a hand up, fingering the edge of his sash gently and pulling herself up to float by it, taking comfort in his presence. She looked up to him, ever the worried one if he could potentially be hurt, and cocked her head.

"What's that disturbance, Zerphos....there's something amiss today...." With that said, she floated even closer by him, her soft ivory and crimson wings brushing against his own, looking for comfort from this new problem. Whatever it was, it couldn't be good for any of them.

Let Me Feel:+:Let Me Taste

Dear Lord. Forgive Me For Being So...Desired.

Lord Zerphos
User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.
Zerphos brought a hand to his cheek and shot her a look of amusement and happiness only to bring it back down and cross his arms at his chest. "Oh, I make you jealous you say? Why...I had no such intentions Lady Fleur but it's simply my nature to spread love as a sin." Giving a puzzling look he was sure he understood what she meant, but his thoughts may never lead on another to think something or accuse him of false intentions, that was a rule he forced himself to follow. Keeping himself distant at a friendly level allowed him to easily detach himself from emotional situations, in the cases where he represented one half of a couple. Zerphos knew the dangers of falling in love with a human, and all to well the direct consequences such would bring. That heartbreak he had suffered so long ago, was never healed. In his heart there was a gap that no woman had filled. Perhaps it was why he did what he did, trying to give himself gratification to forget what he had done and felt, but no one could reach and heal the sore spot. Zerphos on the other hand was mostly to blame for his suffering, as do all fallen. He hadn't allowed a single person as of yet to come close to his heart, fore if he were truly to fall for someone, it would mean he would have to let his walls down, and centuries of building them up simply meant that one blow to the heart's wall wouldn't do much. He needed someone to be persistent, someone to declare war against his heart's walls. Getting to Zerphos likewise was a problem. Either he acted oblivious to others emotions, or simply couldn't recognize them. Growing used to being a fallen likewise meant that his good morals and virtues declined, he was a tad bit self centered...and it didn't help that he had grown accustomed to hearing people crying and writhing over the chaos he caused.

He sighed and looked to the side, slightly displeased at what she was accusing him of. Of course he had multiple times slept with women, but none were of the standards of a whore, and by far he only chose the beautiful women. "Are you simply saying I sleep only with whores my dear Fleur? It's not so kind to judge a person on their relationships....and I would not otherwise even dream of sleeping with....one of those people. I do have standards, and have standards that must be filled, forget that not. There's always a reason to why certain people are chosen." His mood slowly was turning sour with the talk of disapproval, and for one thing he wouldn't stand for much criticism, Zerphos was a proud man, and he would defend himself bitterly, even if that meant acting towards one of his own.

"Who are you to judge who is deserving and who is not? Is it not each individual's choice to decide? Is it not each persons preference that allows them to choose between what they enjoy and what the" Zerphos spat out, shortly followed by a sigh, knowing his angry thoughts and words would bring him no where. Speaking to her in that manner was rare, but his emotions had been on an edge lately and he was teetering dangerously close to a murderous mentality. His eyes suddenly broke the frustrated gaze, the stone like color tinting with a blueish hue. The forced smile turned into something of a frown, and Zerphos showed his unhappiness. Almost in a whisper like voice he looked up at Fleur once more. "I am never to love again." He spoke out, his heartbreak resurfacing on his face as it had so long ago. "Once having loved someone deeply-and only to end up in heartache..." Zerphos was slowing down, realizing he was sharing something he would rather not, though unaware that part of his tragedy had involved her long ago.

"It matters not though. People I sleep with are simply something to fulfill my carnal desires with, nothing more and nothing less. It's the physical attraction towards humans that sometimes draws me to them. That is why I love them. A cheap and shallow form of love, but love nevertheless." Zerphos's beauty was truly divine in his sadness, his aching soul speaking through his eyes, telling tales of tragedies and heart wrenching pain. "...There is nothing to fear Lady Fleur, fore no human has gained the key to my heart...." He slowly rose, floating past her figure and looking across the city to the dark clouds that were slowly gathering. Turning lightly he came up behind her and gingerly wrapped his arm around her waist, taking his chin upon her should and the other left to twirl her beautiful hair in his fingers, and of course a happy smile drifting onto his face again. "What is your desire...your lust...? Give you a show? Entertain you? You are such a doll...Lady Fleur." Zerphos praised with a curt laugh, releasing his grasp to rise high up, the same feeling crawling around on his skin again.

"Something indeed is amiss. Mistress Death is on the move...and for some reason exceedingly close to us as well."
He looked back across the sky to the clouds he saw earlier, knowing all to well what it meant. The atmosphere suddenly changed and the warm air turned hot and moist as the dark clouds loomed closed. This is Ganosa's doings, I am sure of it, for what other being can make the skies turn dark with anger? I suppose there is likewise a reason to why she is near as well. I suppose that feeling earlier was no mistake. And what would be worse is our plans being discovered. Only Ganosa and I are supposed to know of the plan. If She were to find out....there is a certain fate looming ahead for sure.

He pondered, a slight wind starting to pick up, and Zerphos floated back down to her. Zerphos made the sudden decision. "I advise us to leave, or at least travel to a safer area....She is near as you noticed. I wish not to trifle with Mistress Death at the moment, wrath at her power is rather.....frightening." He nodded, looking to Fleur at his right to see what she would say.

Fleur looked up to Zerphos with wide eyes, as if seeking for him to protect her from Death itself. She was, in truth, terrified of Death. The woman was frightening, and so was her brother if you had the misfortune of meeting them both. She nodded, looking behind them, shivering again as she thought of Death. If that woman were to come for them, she did not think she could protect Zerphos from her. That was what scared her most, that Zerphos may not live. She expected to die someday, she was too weak by most standards, starting out not as a warrior, or even a trained Angel before she fell, but a mere singer. She'd gained her strength in heinous ways, and even then, it was not much compared to most of the Fallen. Death was a wicked mistress when provoked, and it was obvious that Fleur had provoked her one too many times. She was actually quite lucky that she hadn't been slain herself yet. But she supposed perhaps Death looked forward to their bantering, and going back and forth, tit for tat with their wits, just having company in eachother. Morbid as that was, though Fleur was afraid of her terribly, she considered Death a type of casual friend. But that didn't change the circumstances. If Zerphos was worried about her, then there was cause to be worried herself. This was NOT one of those friendly 'let's chat and banter' days. She nodded and took his hand into hers. "Let's leave here Zerphos....I do not want to think what she may do if she catches up to us....I don't know what kind of mood she's in today, I didn't stay to chat with her afterwards today when she came to pick that girl up..."

Her wings ruffled with anxiety, a habit of hers, showing her fears through her wings, as it always had been even when the pair had been Angels instead of Fallen. She floated away in front of him, looking back to see if he was going to come away with her. She hoped so, since she so wanted to clear things up. She hadn't liked how he'd reacted to what she'd said....though she should have expected as much. Really, she had to keep that quick tounge of hers in check, or she'd ruin things. She didn't like human women, that was for sure, but....he was right. He didn't really sleep with whores, though she labeled them that in her mind because they were stealing him away, little by little, making him that much more unreachable. Looking to him, she frowned as they flew (I hope its okay that he's flying beside her, I'm not trying to godmod him), her azure eyes a clear, soft blue at the moment like the sea in the early morning, a loving color for her.

"I'm sorry Zerphos....I know....I shouldn't talk about those women that way....and I should control my temper...but.....you are my 'âme sœur'... " she stated, defending her own end, hoping he hadn't been to France, a place she quite liked and had stayed a century or two, though it had been painful without him. The words were true though. She did think of him as her soulmate. She was born for him. She thought so anyways, or at least liked to think that way.

She blinked though, looking forward and thinking of his other question. Her desire? Her Lust? That was easy, at least to her. She shook her head of her thoughts though, much like a child would when switching topics in their mind."We can go to my apartment. I own it as a human on the LS......Lady Death does not expect me to live in a world that looks too much like home...so it is safer there than out in the open, dear Zerphos."

But first she stopped, turning in mid flap of her graceful wings, even if one pair was a sham of a replacement pair, and floated in front of him, cocking her head. She leaned forward, kissing his lips gently, openly, and yet with all the affection she'd felt for him over the centuries. "My only desire...Zerphos....is to be yours....my only lust is to have you see me and no other. It is my dream to stay by your side always, and while I'm glad no one has taken your heart, I promise you I will keep trying. Perhaps we Fallen gave up the right to the loves we had before....and for the chance of happines with someone again....but if there is a chance, even only a small one, that I can stay by your side, I will. If it takes centuries, so be it. I have been patient thus far, non?" she smiled, turning to float ahead of him once more. her crimson and ivory set of wings shivering a little at the confession. It was truly the first time she'd told him so plainly of her intentions with him.

But first, to her apartment and safety. It was a stark contrast to what a Fallen would have, but no one suspected that sweet little Fleur was a Fallen, at least not in that complex. It was a top-floor suite, decorated in blacks, dark reds, golds, and touches of white. It mimicked her personality, as did the building mimic the whitness of Heaven, her cloudy city as she called it affecionately. She did miss it there, though she was glad she had the chance to be with him more.

"Now, when we get there, would you mind cluing me in on why it is so important we hide? I understand that things feel....off, and yet I don't understand why you are afraid. You're stronger than I, so I should be the more fearful of us both."

Zerphos's hand was warm to the touch, always soft due to his obsession with beauty. He held her hand up slightly and thought for a moment, his silver and stone like eyes almost frozen in place as he thought, unblinking and gaze unbroken for several moments. Zerphos felt a slight warmth on his arm and hand, but he himself was numbed by the sudden realization. If Death finds out my plans, there's no telling what she'll do. Her power surpasses ours, though to harness that would be most beneficial. If I end up dieing here, it will take Lord Ganosa even longer to fulfill our quest, and chances are he won't be able to achieve that without my help either. It is vital we keep Death and her brother in the dark, I know we can not afford any loss. Though, if my time does come...I will not go down easy. I am not afraid to die. Shaking his head Zerphos sighed. "I do believe I said that as well...."
Times were surely not getting harder for the both halves in the war. Each side was suffering greatly and there was only so much the Fallens and and the Angels weren't having it any easier. With a slight twitch he looked at her, knowing all to well her deed endangered the both of them by luring her out. Then again the situation provided some opportunity, though he didn't really think it was the safest thing to do.

Slightly reluctant to follow Fleur, Zerphos tugged lightly behind before figuring it would be useless to resist...for her words slightly stopped him. "...âme sœur...ah c'est bon...n'est-ce pas? peut-être...Mademoiselle Fleur." France, out of the entire world, was a place Zerphos was attracted too...of course he and his sin were big in that city. In fact, it was Zerphos who tainted the mind of their political leaders and famous figures, the lust, the sin driving them towards what they wanted most. "I lived once in France...long ago. It is...a lovely place, and even more so the lover's land...." He stated absentmindedly, staring at her briefly and then turning his head away.

It wasn't that Zerphos hadn't considered loving someone permanently, it was simply difficult for him to trust once more, nevertheless remain true to one and only one. Perhaps he could achieve a solid relationship, but Zerphos knew it would be hard, and doubted it would be a healthy love. For one thing he knew, where ever he drifted jealousy trailed behind him, and with the current war going on, his duties were demanding. But had not Fleur stood by his side and followed him everywhere? Was she no the one who pledged to travel with him to the ends of the world? Woman...they think different...but it seems they share one thing in common...they can not go without someone to be...there for them. Whether it is physical or mental...they need to know they're loved....and Fleur. This is an utterly complicated situation. His eyes and head turned away...not really sharing his opinion with her.

Yet the situation only became more strained, with her kiss. Zerphos though would still show nothing. It was his normal behavior, always calm, collected, and reserved. But was he feeling something? Even he couldn't tell anymore, having long lost the ability to tell love apart from simple physical attraction, having lost the ability to sense his own emotions long since, and very serious in thought. "...I was aware at the fact you had feelings for me, yes Lady Fleur, it wasn't hard to see. You are dedicated, and truly passionate....which are great qualities. Though I... The time I loved someone...alas that time taught me I only break hearts. Even you see it in my trail of people...all heartbroken from what I am. I am lust, and therefore terrible things follow." He sighed deeply, truth cutting like a sharp knife, looking more serious and saddened each moment that passed. His pride disappeared momentarily, replaced by a small amount of affection, barely enough to feel compassion.

He stopped moving forward for a moment. "One thing I can assure you, nothing...I will allow nothing to harm you. I am a guardian, and I will watch constantly..." Zephos vowed, the authority in his voice booming. Giving a weak smile he was still worried about who may be following them, and for once thinking not of himself, but her own safety as well. "In due time things will become clear....but you must wait a little longer my dear Fleur....wait to see what I and Ganosa have planned." It was all he could say without giving too much away. Safety of his plan was his top most priority, and not even her should know. If she or anyone was captured, they could honestly say they didn't know, even with powerful truth telling spells and such.

"My what a fine place you have here Lady Fleur..."
Zerphos noted at the large building and the fascinating way it had been set up. She had a person in LS. It confirmed her devotion to him evermore, since he was likewise in this city on a normal basis. "It looks..serene in white...in comparison to heaven..." He stated, scorning it's likeness. Zerphos hated heaven for multiple reasons, and did not share the want to see it again. It was the one beauty that in his eyes had turned fowl.

Fleur's heart was aching, though she knew it was coming. That first woman again. She sighed, leading him into her apartment, folding her wings gently behind her and closing her eyes, absorbing them and opting for her human-ish form. She was still as unearthly a beauty as she normally was, changing eyes and all, just minus the wings and slightly divine glow. Her powers were masked and not as obvious anymore, a good thing when one was weaker than one's enemies. She motioned for Zerphos to sit on one of the plush , deep blood red couches, going to the window and staring out at the city, putting a hand to the cool glass and looking over her shoulder at him. He was so beautiful. So perfect. Why had he chosen to Fall? Then again, why had she? Both had chosen this path for the same selfish reason, to love and be loved. But it appeared to be one fairytale of hers that wouldn't come true. She laughed softly, looking back out the window, knowing his distaste for her living quarters, if only because the outside looked like heaven, while the inside resembled a slightly chique' New York style, classy and elegant, but sterile and unused.

"Zerphos, amore', must you always burst my happy delusional bubble? I like it there, where you don't know French so I don't embarass myself, and you don't hate my home because it reminds you of Heaven. Don't lie and say it's charming, I'm well aware that it does resemble that place....and although I miss it, I am glad I chose to Fall." she said softly, looking at her reflection in the window, cocking her head, as if questioning herself, did she really think that? Was it worth giving up Heaven and all that she knew, to come to this place? Her only joy was in Europe, where she seemed to fit in a bit more than most places, her beauty highly coveted there. But this place.....despite the pretty package, it was flawed. Terribly so. She smiled, a jaded, sad smile, and turned to him.

"This place not only looks like Heaven though...it's imperfect too. Their kindness is a false one, strained and only accepting as long as you follow what they expect of you....do you think I like that place any more than you do? I hate those who took my wings from me, to make me 'match who I Fell for' as they say....to make me less than I was..."

She sighed softly, walking gently to a large, matching red armchair to the right of the couch, centered around a black and glass table. Lounging on it much like a cat would, she sprawled herself over both edges, letting her blonde locks dangle and catch sunlight coming in from the large, wall length window. Her azure orbs stared at his stormy grey ones, wondering what was going through that head of his. She played idily with the tips of her hair, mulling over what he'd said to her thus far. Did she beleive that he'd protect her always? No, unfortunately not. If she fell out of his favor, or found out about her part in his misery, he wouldn't. He'd probably be her death, most likely. At that, she smiled softly, the faintest of smiles. If she had to die, she wanted him to be the one killing her, if she had to be slain anyways.

"I heard....you Fell for love as well....she....must have been something..." With that one comment, her face went slack and distant, a neutral mask she'd worn many years now, staring instead at the black plush carpet and the wooden floors of her apartment, not wanting to look at him. She thought of that woman. Her hair, her voice, her wit, her personality, her looks in general. She both hated, and cherished it all. She had developed a kind of sick friendship with the girl, even if she'd been her downfall out of jealousy. There had been a bond there.....one she'd given up in lieu for the empty promise of another, stronger bond. But it had never come, and never would, or so she figured. Zerphos's heart was truly a fortress. Not meant to be touched by either humans or the divine, not even meant to be truly seen. She knew everything he did was his prideful mask.

Probably even down to putting up with her affections over the centuries.

That fact alone, made her impecably sad, and her eyes softened ever so slightly, with that sadness. "As for your promise, Zerphos.....I have already been harmed.....damned and broken, like a discarded doll, as you so eloquently called me earlier, though you didn't say broken or discarded......for a race and a Father that is supposed to be loving and forgiving.....when you follow your heart, and choose to Fall for the one you truly love, it seems to be an unforgivable sin in their eyes, non?"

With that, she looked up at him. He had to know, didn't he? That because he had Fallen, she had chosen to? Even though she had no way to defend herself, not really. Her tricks only worked to an extent. Humans were easy pickings....even a portion of Fallen and your average demon was fairly easy, but another Fallen of her standing or higher, like Zerphos? She was now the prey instead of predator. The Bloody Flower, chased by Death herself.

Let Me Feel:+:Let Me Taste
I Love Loving All With False Love
Dear Lord. Forgive Me For Being So...Desired.

Lord Zerphos

Upon coming to the establishment he likewise retracted his dark grey wings, they of course being slightly larger consumed longer amounts of time to absorb themselves in his flesh. He stood there for a moment, head bowed to the floor as little by little they disappeared into his back, showing no previous existence aside from the slits made in the back of his shirt to fit them. Drifting over lightly on his feet, Zerphos situated himself in the chair, eyes closed and one hand upon his chin, forefinger pointing and pressing on his right cheek bone. Little images and thoughts were flitting about like small silver streaks, blending into one another. Her words brought memories up as well as a feeling he did not wish to uncover. She was not pleased either. He voice held a tragic strain, and he could tell that what he had said only made her despair worse. Yet his face told no secret or discovery, he was brooding, and within there he would not reveal his thought. Zerphos was very perceptive of feelings, though handling them was different. Sometimes he felt as if it, the world and it's people, is a playground opened up for him to fool around in. After all, we're humans really important? He teased them, and messed with their minds, toyed on emotions, and brought many more tragedies without realizing it. But things slowly became clear...all things were revealing themselves the softer he became.

Zerphos was trying to deny it, but he had reasonably softened since his fall. Of course he didn't completely give up chaos and madness, the guilt and truth of his existence bore a heavy toll for him to carry. Torn between doing good, and being good, giving up the life of evil to settle as a neutral was slightly overshadowed by his drive for power and lust, drive for fulfilling his desires himself and to fill the gap in his heart. He was now turning all his attention to her, focusing on her speech and words. She was bringing herself down by speaking that way, or was it his imagination? Was she believing in the failures and hanging on dearly to the past, or was it his imagination. Put in perspective, she gave it all up, for what? Zerphos's eyes twitched slightly. He knew his intentions, and his purpose for falling, and truth be told, he regretted it rarely and enjoyed his time. Zerphos was free of laws and rules, he was his own god, and he did as he pleased. Was it not the life all desired? To be utterly and bound to no one? But freedom did include solitude, and what he hated most was to be alone. That was one of the few reasons he stayed with humans. There were many, and they were different from everything else.

"You are nothing less than what you were in Heaven. Mind you, we all change, and that change perhaps has left you feeling empty and regretful. But look at it this way. What have you accomplished in your lifetime that makes your existence pure? What devotion do you give to make yourself ultimate? You have a devotion and you live for something...your existence is not lost. Wings are nothing more than ranking." He sighed, his eyes still shut as a memory played back of a time and place few months back. "And...do you not feel free in this world? You make the decisions for yourself, not a being above you, you can choose who to love, and what to love....there are no restrictions in life but the restrictions of life, death, and power." Zerphos stated, his voice soft and quiet. "Flaws...the flaws we made make us only more human like."

He was now even more quiet than before and many moments went by where he was deciding whether to reply further to her. "My first love...she was something. She had everything...her beauty caught me...but she was innocent. Innocence is the purest beauty there is. Yet with all that, as beautiful as that all became, innocence never lasts...her human heart, devotion, and patience was weak." Zerphos's voice grew bitter and dark, the whole image in his mind burning with anger and confusion. Outside the skies rumbled and flashed lightning, a cry of Ganosa. "She fell for someone else." He merely stated, his voice was quivering as he tried to keep calm. Tearing his eyes open, he released his burning gaze on his hand. "I was not good enough for her. She didn't want me anymore...my worth....was nothing to her anymore. I can not live that down. Lady Fleur, I am hopelessly worthless. Because of her, because of her not wanting me"

..At that point he was so frustrated with himself, his eyebrows knotted in self scorn and his hands clenched until his knuckles were pure white. Zerphos continued "....it's as if my existence isn't worth anything anymore. I live...I've lived like a shell since then, because I'm not worthy to love again if I can not satisfy. And since my love was declared a sin, I was banished. Banished for loving....even in the name of God."

Zerphos nearly cried out, standing on his feet his skin prickled as the unwanted emotion returned. He shook his head, blue tassels now tainting black in his mood. Zerphos spoke soon after to counter her statement. "As for Heaven...God is nothing more than a hoax, and the devotion towards him makes the world seem brighter and happier, but it's all an empty lie. There is no perfect being. God is the same as the Devil...though God does not show his sins even if he makes them. The demons are more pure than angels realistically. They accept their flaws and imperfections and are accepting to those likewise. Heaven is prejudice and meant only for those who are pure....something so elite that their society is nothing but spineless and defenseless weaklings...their strongest thing being faith. I have faith no longer. I have no heart to put something into such devotion that would leave me in fear of sinning and doing bad." By the time he had finished, Zerphos was trembling with both anger and despair, his body shuddering after not having felt something as strong as he did now for several centuries.

Zerphos stood there, shaking on the spot with his eyes fixated on the same spot on her walls. Why? Why did she follow....it was only making her miserable. She should have stayed. She should be happy and not have to share the burden he has and was his fault. Those thoughts amounted to more guilt, and his heart sank lower.

Fleur immediately flipped over in the plush seat, and was almost instantly by his side, holding him and resting her head against his chest, rubbing her cheek against his skin ever so slightly, looking up at him with soulful eyes. They were a pale blue, powder blue even, having changed with her desperation to make him happy again. She reached up, running her hand through his beautiful molten silver tresses gingerly, cocking her head while still resting her chin on his chest lovingly. She looked to his tassel, fingering it gently, affectionately. She frowned slightly, wondering what she could say to help him feel better again, to be himself again. Even if he was cold to her, she didn't care, she just wanted to see him smile again like he had back home.

"Didn't you just say....we are nothing less than what we were? Besides, Zerphos......you were never worthless.....you just......weren't looking into the right woman's eyes..." She said softly, averting her eyes and laying her head on his chest again, running her hand up and down his spine softly, attempting to soothe him. She contemplated singing, as she had in Heaven....but perhaps that would only make him more upset?

"You satisfy just by existing Zerphos....so please....don't think you are worthless....if either of us is worthless, it is me....I, who could not fulfil her purpose." With that said, she let herself slip away from him and looked at the sky outside, wondering what their God would think of her now, seeing her do everything possible for one of his fallen sons. She sighed softly, running a delicate porcelin hand through her hair, pushing it back from her face and walking towards the kitchen. Food, though she did not need it, was a human luxury she enjoyed. But only the premium things. Why settle for less?

She reached up into her cupboard, looking for a coffee cup, planning on getting some quality coffee and some sweets. She set the cup down on the counter with a soft 'clink' and then turned to the stainless steel fridge, opening it and grabbing a piece of strawberry cake. She sighed, looking into the living room, her hair dangling to the side with a half-hearted smile.

"Do you want anything?" she smiled, darting back into the kitchen waiting for his answer, putting a pale pink apron on over her dress and fluffing her hair out over the straps around the neck, looking to the door, almost expecting him to be there. But she sighed softly, shaking her head.

Looking at the coffee pot sadly, she asked herself. Why. Why had she given up the order and safety of Heaven? She would be so much better taken care of there, and not so lonely. No....that wasn't true. She'd be more lonely, really. Without him. Her chosen.

"I chose him as mine so many centuries ago, and he doesn't even know....how could he know? God never told him, like he told the other men that they were going to have a woman given to them...he never told him about me, and we didn't meet formally until it was too late....Perhaps my devotion to him is foolish....perhaps......I'm nothing but a burden to Zerphos. Most likely. I'm weak physically, and fighting wise, I'm alright but couldn't take someone of his skill or greater....on top of that, he doesn't even know that I Fell to follow him, and stay with the man I chose....I gave a vow to Father that I would stay by his side faithfully and love him till the end of time, and he asked me to break that vow, and I didn't....I did the right thing....didn't I?"

She asked herself slowly, looking down at the counter in wonder at herself. How could she have rationally chosen this? The truth was, she hadn't. It was a purely irrational decision. There wasn't any rhyme or reason....she'd just....followed her heart. Her freedom. She now went where the four winds blew her, sometimes closer to Zerphos, sometimes farther from him. She growled softly, thinking of the centuries that she'd been farther from him. Rome, Italy, France, England, Asia, she'd been so many places over the centuries, but none had been completely enjoyed without his presence. Even her lovely Paris, which she so longed to go back to, it had been her most favorite place in the world. A place so full of love and passion.

Shaking her head, she raised her arm to the top cupboard, reaching for the ground coffee, but it just grazed her fingers. She grunted in anxiety at the thing, swiping at it again. It would be easy for her to use her wings to reach that level, but when in human form, she had the tendency to be fiercely independent. She didn't like depending on her wings for simple little things, not when human women were doing things like this all the time, and didn't have proper wings.

"Nngh! Get down here, you pesky thing!" she quipped at it crossly, trying to destress but failing. She was still wound up from their conversation. She didn't want things to become strained between them, anything but that. She wanted them to be closer, but it seemed no matter what she did, she only pushed him farther away from her....which was a pity. Her devotion to her vow, in her mind equivilant to a woman's vow of 'marriage', whatever that was, on earth, was astounding.

No more...I will have no more. Zerphos shut his eyes momentarily, her touch having an odd effect on his tense body. Shuddering lightly at her fingers tracing patterns on his back, the Fallen's face resumed to being solid and expressionless. His pale hands were down at his side, fingers ever so lightly tracing the pattern of the cloth and fur at his waist. Actions, regrettable. Memories, unwanted. Self loathing, forever present. How selfish I am, to assume that all shall please me, that all shall be my world. Everyone....always cared for me..and yet I give no recognition. I have people, soldiers, slaves...all bound to my throne of hellish darkness, willing to die for my desires and goals. I was a fool to think that the past would not catch up with me...and even more so to be so trusting to start. Zerphos could feel nothing, he felt weightless slightly, as if his body was flying and floating once more. Thunder rolled lightly from above, a slow and steady drizzle fell upon the city and it's people, somehow weather befitting his mood. In actuality....it would not be Zerphos's will and thought that changes the weathers, but Ganosa. Something surely was amiss.

One of the many complexions, this he called his soft side, Beatus-[Saint], likewise the side of him very few saw and even fewer could describe. Perhaps it was, living on Terra so long and living with the humans for centuries on end, that made Beatus what it is. It was the most human side that Zerphos could bear, mentally and physically..but harbored fair and loving feelings to no end, meaning the first side he created towards humans in order to fit in. Beatus however he rarely showed, his position as a Lord and as partner to Ganosa all demanded a brutal, unforgiving, cruel and cold attitude. It was only the fine line of his love for destruction and his lust for love that would expose anything to begin with.

Stock still he stood, still feeling her touch. But it left...her touch left as she drifted into another area to retrieve something. "Satisfy by existing...is not enough."

Beatus snapped, his mind filled with an explosion the regret was zoning back to a time, a time where he was still a messenger of god, and dutifully followed orders in the heavenly lights. Seating himself on the edge of the chair, the light wait feeling emptied and every limb was dragged down. He looked at the white wall, his eyes beginning to play tricks on him. Running a cold hand over his face, Zerphos stared hard, trying to blank out the sight.

~
The walls rippled slightly and the texture of a patch of golden clouds appeared, beyond that...rolling green hills and vineyards. There was a town below, constructed out of wood, tan stones, marble, and any sort of material imaginable. The streets were filled with small carts and stands, a center for a marvelous market place. Brightly woven blankets and small shiny trinkets were sold as people in white and pale colored robes passed through the ancient city. The smells of baked goods and sweet flowers wafter in the air...and far off in the depth of the city, a man stood on the stairs of an official building, shouting to the crowds that had gathered below.

"Annuit coeptis! Beati acta sanctorum. Annuit coeptis! Apage Satanas, Apage!..[God has favored us. Bless the deeds of the saints. God has favored us. Begone devil, begone.]

The man in the grey tunic shouted over and over, his faith pouring into the minds of all the people below, a protest in formation. The people, a mass of angry voices and hands, became a mob. They moved with their leader in unison, many taking torches and pointed sticks, knives, short swords and rocks...anything that could cause harm to the body. Shouting and chanting, the mob made its way further to the east. There lie their target, a small house on the edge of the city that within it...harbored the recently fallen angel, Zerphos and the recently saved from certain death...due to faith back then to god and it's creation, there wasn't a person alive that wouldn't see him. He was an omen though, a dark figure in the bright and faithful city, something that had to be removed immediately and sacrificed to god.
~

Fleur suddenly asked something, her words echoing slightly as he watched the devastating scene unfold. Nothing, he could not speak fore his lips were sealed and his throat unable to conquer the paralyzing shock that came from the vision. Twitching, Zerphos broke his contact with the images, knowing all to well the gruesome outcome and devastating disaster that followed the humans discovery. Shaking his head he reached back and gabbed the long silver braid of hair that freely dangled from the back of his neck to his knees and brought it forward across his left shoulder. Placing his hand on his knee Zerphos propped himself up from sitting, only now to wander in the kitchen, catching part of her conversation to herself as he entered silently. Coming up directly behind Fleur without words, Zerphos leaned against her, simply reaching up with one arm and outstretched hand to take down the coffee. His look was calm, almost dream like, reminiscing placing him in the Beatus mood.

Fleur blushed and her skin instantly heated as he leaned against her, reaching up to get the coffee for her. She looked up and behind her, looking up into his face quizzically, as if asking what he was doing there, leaning on her. Not to say she wasn't enjoying it, as the rain fell outside. It was almost normal actually, although her wings, though absorbed, still prickled with warnings. But because of Zerphos being so close, she ignored them for now, instead turning, pressed up against him and the counter, pinned in a way. She couldn't move, and she almost didn't want to ask him to. If he was alright with being this close, then so be it.

Who was she to fight what she'd wanted for centuries? Almost since she'd been created. She was younger than him by several centuries at least, but she had adored him soon after she had been 'born'. He reminded her of all the good things in the world, the possibility of love, the possibility of heartache ironically, and the hope for something more. Were those not human qualities? But then she stopped, looking up at his face a bit closer, her eyes searching for what was wrong. He had a dreamy, far-off look on his face, gentler and softer than his usual prideful mask. Very much so. This wasn't the Zerphos she knew....it almost reminded him of how he'd been in Heaven. Less gaurded, less jaded.

"Zerphos? What's wrong with you....you're...different than you were a moment ago....are you still upset darling? Please dont' be....you aren't worthless, and I can tell you darling, you do satisfy....what about that couple you just brought together today?"

She actually smiled at that, perhaps his 'feel good' vibe all of a sudden was catchy? She didn't feel the littlest spark of jealousy towards that couple from before...she was....happy. She felt as pure as she had been in heaven, thinking that two people were happy with eachother and wished them only the best. Did Zerphos have this effect on her? She wasn't quite sure. Perhaps she was just....bipolar or something. Or had a split personality or the like. She DID switch into a totally different mindset when she was fighting or when she killed. And now, she was her original self, the sweet, defenseless flower that everyone in Heaven looked out for because she was so frail. She remembered what had charmed her so much from Zerphos, when they'd first formally met.

"Miss Fleur.....your singing was lovely, but, you don't look as frail as everyone rumors you to be," Zerphos lavished, taking her hand elegantly and kissing it in a gentlemanly fashion. She blinked and blushed, never hearing such praise before, or given such affection for her voice.

"N-no....Sir Zerphos....my voice isn't that remarkable, no more than I was given and no more than my sisters, just a different kind of sound simply....and as for my frailty, I'm sorry to say that's true...." she blushed shyly, looking away and holding her hands in her lap while she stood. He laughed with a kind smile, taking her chin.

"On the contrary, Miss Fleur'....not only do you surpass them, but you're not frail. You're beautiful, like moonlight on a quiet lake on earth, the most beautiful thing and yet always teasing you by giving the promise it may be gone in a second," he smiled. She blushed and looked straight into those deep eyes, and it was then that she chose him.

Fleur had that feeling again. That overwhelming affection and pull towards his eyes that had made her 'choose' him. She'd chosen him, though she'd only grown to love him for all that he was over time in Heaven, and even on Earth she'd learned to love and treasure him even more. There were many things about him she loved....but that kindness in him...she knew it was somewhere deep down still, was what she'd loved most. She blushed and looked away again, like she had in Heaven, and laughed nervously.

"Ah....Zerphos, love....I need to move, you're pushing me into the countertop, dear," she stuttered shyly, truly relishing in the close contact, but not wanting him to know he had that effect on her just by pinning her.
