I wasn't sure about the negative past tense form of hanashimasu. It is hanashimasendeshita, right? Yes, but that's just the polite form. The plain form (Everyday conversation) is hanashinakatta.

I am always polite in my speech in Japan. My formal and polite language is considered " Uwaaaaaa, totemo kawaii desu ne!" xp
