I figured some of us would like to know how we each fight. As for me, I use Link a lot. So when fighting as Link I spam the down A attack, especially when my opponent is high in damage. I also use the spin attack to force my enemy away. I also use the boomerang to, ironically, attack close rang to maximize damage. After the other attacks aren't used to much. Only a generic A attack (forward or natural) is used to score up damage.
Anywho, what are your methods of fighting?

My methods are randomizied. Sometimes thinking about your battle strategy can be costly during the heat of battle. I let instinct be my guide in fights and do things at random, that way there is no use of thinking about a counterattack. I can act like a noob and be everywhere, scrambling my moves like I've just started to play the game or be serious and tail you for a relentless combo.

To costly? Hmm. Does saying I use speed over power make any difference?

I use Fox mostly, so I try dodge most of my opponent's attacks while on the lookout for an opening. I also use the dodge maneuvers and rolls a lot.
Heh, most people I fight get pretty frustrated at the fact that I become almost untouchable. Also, I'm not saying I win a lot ('cause I don't) but, I do enjoy making my opponent's fight a living hell. twisted
I should probably think of a way of adapting this strategy to Brawl...
...hmm... *ponders*

Dark_Links To costly? Hmm. Does saying I use speed over power make any difference? To some people, thinking while in battle can be defeat. Others are good at constantly thinking about strategy while under pressure. Doesn't matter if you use speed, power, defensive techniques. As long as they work for your battle style, it shouldn't matter. @Glink: You have a decent strategy there. I used to do that a lot until I started to see people with a rock defense. Fox is probably the best choice for that too. Not too speedy and has some decent power. I don't see why you have to think of a way to bring that particular strategy to Brawl though...

I tend to use sheik she is verry easy for me to manuver and i feel as though since i have used her so much it is hard for me to use other characters. i tend to kick ppl into the air then kick them again as they decend it is an easy way to send your opponents flying.

I don't really have a method. I just try to get attacks in, and avoid their's.

I meant it in a way of kind of improving the strategy with what new elements Brawl might bring in to play, like maybe new items, attacks and that notorious Final Smash. As for people that play defensive, or whenever I find someone with a great counter strategy to mine, I have been known to experiment with different attacks and try to mix it up a little. I also try to do this when someone is getting close to figuring out my style.

Look at the quote, it says I wrote that quote but I never said anything like that. Don't get me wrong, I'm trying not to make it sound bad, I'm just want other people who look at this not to get a wrong idea when they think it was me.

Well I have many methods of attack. And seeing how it will most likely change with the fact that Final Smashs come into play ill tell you them.
Main Character (Neros/Mine) Mario: With Mario I tend to rush into the opponent hoping they will try and attack that way I can either slide backwards out of a quick block, or jump straight up in order to Meteor Smash, or in my words, Koopa Klobber the enemy, I like to grab with Mario, because he has an affective throwing technique, and then after that I like to spam my meteor smash, then flow Smash attacks to trick the oppenent. Ya know, down A, side A, up A. The basics. -- Mewtwo: I 100% play defensive with Mewtwo, unlike Mario who in which I blitz the enemy the whole time. But with Mewtwo I automatically charge a shadowball and then slide and teleport my way around the arena, trying to get the person fighting me to chase me. When they fall for it I often throw the ball. (ive learned the direction the ball moves in) and I run and grab . doing the back throw and up smash because they are the most affective.

Well, I'll give you a basic breakdown of my main fighters.
Samus: Most of the time with her I'll try and find the most viable position to attack in coming enemies. I usually have a charge saved up for last minute blow outs. I also use my running attack with her a lot, but with my guard up and ready to dodge in case of incoming attacks.
Kirby: I will mainly spam regular and smash attacks only really using specials to get opponents off of me. If you are playing as a character with a decent copy ability(DK or Samus) iwill probably copy it. However if things become too hot I may resort to the suicide drop method, but I hardly use that.
However with any character I will always utilize any item I can get my mitts on. If I can't seem to successfully attack you with said item I will just throw it at you pick it up again and throw it until it runs out.

Well i mostly do aerial combos with fox and use my shield or a final move to finish them off in the end, and when i use ice climbers will de-sync and make them do separate moves and play mind games with my opponents, or if i am really mad i will chain grab you until your at 150% and then do a quick smash to finish you off evil but only when i am really mad.

Link-I play annoyer style blitzing everybody with my projectiles...play defensive and then turn my defense into an offense with smash attacks and U+B spin....

I am more of an offense guy with star fox, really don't defend to well but I am always jumping around and kicking and my method usually takes down whom ever I am fighting.
But we will see when the new game is out.
