[o1.] God The first existing being, It is said that He was the creator of Earth and father to all its inhabitants. After the coming of the demons, it is believed that He appointed Saint Michael, the Archangel, to fight in His name and defeat those who opposed Him.

[o2.] Angels An angel is a pure spirit created by God. The Old Testament theology included the belief in angels: the name applied to certain spiritual beings or intelligences of heavenly residence, employed by God as the ministers of His will.

              1. The English word "angel" comes from the Greek angelos, which means 'messenger'. In the Old Testament, with two exceptions, the Hebrew word for "angel" is malak, also meaning 'messenger'. The prophet Malachi took his name from this word. He was himself a messenger, and he prophesied about the coming of "the messenger of the covenant", Jesus Christ (Malachi 3:1).

While angels and demons alike are generally regarded as invisible to human sight, they are frequently depicted as human-like creatures with wings. Although Angels are genderless, they are often described as petite, feminine-looking creatures with fair skin, delicate features and long hair.

[o3.] Demons 1. an evil supernatural being [syn: devil]
              2. a cruel wicked and inhuman person [syn: monster]

Demons are angels that have been exiled or banished from Heaven. Often such banishment is a punishment for disobeying or rebelling against God. Like Angels, they are human-looking with large, leathery wings that sprout from their backs, and are considered to be beautiful creatures. They were God's most amazing creation before the humans.

Demons are spiritual or angelic creatures created by God in a state of innocence, and that they became evil by their own act. It is added that man sinned by the suggestion of the Devil, and that in the next world the wicked shall suffer perpetual punishment with the Devil.

[o4.] The Originals Refers to the first seven Angels that were exiled from Heaven.

[o5.] Lucifer Leader of the demons at the time of their betrayal. It is said that his greatest sin was considering himself to be equal or more powerful than God. However, he was betrayed by his kinsmen forcing him to bring fourth the fourth horseman of the apocalypse as well as Hades.

[o6.] Fourth Horseman of Apocalypse / Four Riders of Apocalypse The forces of man's destruction that will bring forth the Apocalypse. The four horsemen are traditionally named after the powers they represent: Conquest, War, Famine, and Death.

              1. The rider of the first horse is there to represent Conquest. He wields a bow with an arrow with no head, symbolizing a non-violent rise to power. He rides a massive white horse.

              2. The rider of the second horse is generally held to represent War. The red color of his horse represents blood spilled on the battlefield. He carries a great sword, which represents battle and fighting.

              3. The third horseman, riding the black horse, is popularly called Famine or Pestilence. The black colour of the third horse could be a symbol of famine. Its rider holds a scale, which could be a representation of the 'scales of pitiless justice' which commonly represent inequality and corruption.

              4. The fourth horseman (on the pale, or sickly horse, which may be the source of the notion of "pestilence" as a separate horseman) is explicitly named Death. This character is accompanied by Hades himself, the collector of souls.

[o7.] Saint Michael one of the principal angels; his name was the war-cry of the good angels in the battle fought in heaven against the enemy and his followers. Four times his name is recorded in Scripture. It is said that he has four distinct offices:

              1. To fight against the devils.

              2. To rescue the souls of the faithful from the power of the enemy, especially at the hour of death.

              3. To be the champion of God's people, the Jews in the Old Law, the Christians in the New Testament; therefore he was the patron of the Church, and of the orders of knights during the Middle Ages.

              4. To call away from earth and bring men's souls to judgment
