Here, we have descriptions of the three major phases, as well as the ranks they contain. Trainee PhaseDonkey: Everyone who joins this guild will start out as a donkey. This level is very easy to surpass; all you have to do is make four posts that are at least eight medium-lengthy sentences long. If they are decent, then voila! You are no longer a donkey!Iron Key: Iron Key is the second level. This is also a fairly easy level to excel above. To pass this level, you simply have to make a post that is full of emotion. It doesn't have to be sad; it can be happy, or sarcastic, just as long as it has personality shining through.Bronze Key: This is the hardest level of this phase to advance through. You must make two super long posts. Six whole paragraphs! Each paragraph should made up of six sentences. Difficult? Of course. Good luck; as they say, you'll need it.Intermediate PhaseSilver Key: To pass this level, one must have a total of at least one hundred posts (including posts in the OOC forum). Additionally, they must be an active member of at least one roleplay (one of which MUST be in the Intermediate forum). Sixty posts of their total post count must be roleplay posts. Each of those roleplay posts are required to have good grammar and spelling, as well as good prose and overall sentence structure. These posts may not be one-liners, and are required to be at least one paragraph each with six sentences. Wit and intelligence should be present in each post to an extent that makes the posts fun to read, and they should not be so dry or dull that readers fall asleep struggling to pull through.Gold Key: One must have a total of at least one hundred fifty posts (including posts in the OOC forum) in total, one hundred of which being roleplay posts. Additionally, they must be an active member of at least three roleplays (two of which MUST be in the Intermediate forum). Their posts should have good grammar and spelling, as well as proper (and intelligent) use of vocabulary. Metaphors, similes, intentional (and witty) repetition, good amounts of details (the writer CANNOT dump it all onto the reader at once though), and other compositional risks are pluses, and are preferred. These posts may not be one-liners, and are required to be at least one paragraph each with six sentences. These posts should also be fun and enjoyable to read, providing entertainment for readers and other roleplayers. There should also be a fair amount of wit and intelligence. The overall posts should not be dull or boring.Mithril Key: May only be won in special events.Adamantine Key: May only be won in special events.Advanced PhasePlatinum Key: People should have a total of two hundred posts in order to advance to pass this level, one hundred fifty of which being roleplay posts. Additionally, to pass, one must be an active member of at least two roleplays (one MUST be of the Advanced subforum). Posts should have near-flawless grammar and spelling, as well as a profound, outstanding use of vocabulary. Metaphors, similes, intentional (and witty) repetition, good amounts of details (the writer CANNOT dump it all onto the reader at once though), and other compositional risks are also preferred, and details are absolutely required. These posts may not be one-liners, and are required to be at least two paragraphs each with six sentences each (with the exception of the occasional writer's block post). These posts should also be fun and enjoyable to read, providing entertainment for readers and other roleplayers. There should also be a fair amount of wit and intelligence. The overall posts should not be dull or boring.Diamond Key: May only be won in special events.Skeleton Key: This is the final stage, and thus, there is no way of passing this level unless you are personally hand-picked by a captain or vice-captain. To stay here, maintain advanced grammar and spelling. Posts should exploit and manipulate compositional risks (metaphors, similes, intentional and witty repetition, varied amounts of detail [the writer CANNOT dump it all onto the reader at once], etc.) Overall, posts should wow nearly all readers and keep them well-entertained.Crew Member PhaseWinged/Paw Key: One can only reach this level if they are already in the Skeleton Key Level of the Advanced Phase. Additionally, they must be specially hand-picked by a captain or vice-captain. Thus, you may not apply to gain this key.

PrivilegesIn each stage of the game—or, in other words, in each level of our unique ranking system—there are privileges. As people fulfill the requirements and move on to new ranks, they earn new privileges, as well as retain the ones they previously had the prior levels, unless it is explicitly stated that they are to lose a certain privilege upon gaining a new rank. This post will explain the privileges possessed by each rank in the three phases. NOTE: No one other than the captains, vice-captain, or select crew members are permitted to post new topics in the main forum.Trainee PhaseDonkey Privileges: Those who stand at this level are permitted to post in the OOC forum (specifically the "Freetalk/Booktalk/Writing/Tutoring (OOC Forum)") and the "Donkey/Iron/Bronze Status (Trainee)". They may not post in the Intermediate, Advanced, or Crew Only subforums. In the Trainee subforum, they may only post in one preexisting roleplay in total, and may not create their own. Additionally, they may participate in Guild Roleplay Events in the main forum.Iron Key Privileges: Those who stand at this level are permitted to post in the OOC forum (specifically the "Freetalk/Booktalk/Writing/Tutoring (OOC Forum)") and the "Donkey/Iron/Bronze Status (Trainee)". They may not post in the Intermediate, Advanced, or Crew Only subforums. In the Trainee subforum, they may only post in three preexisting roleplays total, and may not create their own. Additionally, they may participate in Guild Roleplay Events in the main forum.Bronze Key Privileges: Those who stand at this level are permitted to post in the OOC forum (specifically the "Freetalk/Booktalk/Writing/Tutoring (OOC Forum)") and the "Donkey/Iron/Bronze Status (Trainee)". They may not post in the Intermediate, Advanced, or Crew Only subforums. In the Trainee subforum, they may post in any preexisting roleplay so long as they can remain active in each, and are allowed create their own. Additionally, they may participate in Guild Roleplay Events in the main forum.Intermediate PhaseSilver Key Privileges: Those who possess this key are permitted to post in the OOC forum (specifically the "Freetalk/Booktalk/Writing/Tutoring (OOC Forum)"), the "Donkey/Iron/Bronze Status (Trainee)", and the "Silver/Gold Status (Intermediate)". They may not post in the Advanced or Crew Only subforums. In the Trainee subforum, they may post in any preexisting roleplay so long as they can remain active in each, and are allowed create their own. They may also only post in a maximum of one roleplay in the Intermediate forum, and they cannot create their own. Additionally, they may participate in Guild Roleplay Events in the main forum.Gold Key Privileges: Those who possess this key are permitted to post in the OOC forum (specifically the "Freetalk/Booktalk/Writing/Tutoring (OOC Forum)"), the "Donkey/Iron/Bronze Status (Trainee)", and the "Silver/Gold Status (Intermediate)". They may not post in the Advanced or Crew Only subforums. In the Trainee subforum, they may post in any preexisting roleplay so long as they can remain active in each, and are allowed create their own. They may also post in any number of roleplays in the Intermediate forum so long as they can remain active in all, and they are allowed to create their own. Additionally, they may participate in Guild Roleplay Events in the main forum.Mithril Key Privileges: This key grants you the privileges of the key level higher than your current one. This means that for example, if you were at a iron key status, you would have the privileges of the bronze key status. There is generally no limited time to how long you have the privileges, however, they will expire when you reach platinum key status.Adamantine Key Privileges: This key grants you consent to have the privileges of the key level two levels above your current. Of course, in essence, if you were at iron status, you would have the privileges of a silver status. Adamantine key, unlike mithril key, expires when one reaches gold status. Sounds interesting?Advanced PhasePlatinum Key Privileges: Those who possess this key are permitted to post in the OOC forum (specifically the "Freetalk/Booktalk/Writing/Tutoring (OOC Forum)"), the "Donkey/Iron/Bronze Status (Trainee)", the "Silver/Gold Status (Intermediate)", and the " Platinum/Skeleton Status (Advanced)". They may not post in the Crew Only subforum, however. In both the Trainee and Intermediate subforums, they may post in any preexisting roleplay so long as they can remain active in each, and are allowed create their own. They may also post in a maximum of one roleplay in the Advanced subforum, but they cannot make their own. Additionally, they may participate in Guild Roleplay Events in the main forum.Diamond Key Privileges: This key grants you the ability to have the privileges of any key level higher than your current one. This means that there are no restrictions, except for RPing in the winged/paw key status (for you must be a crew member to RP there.) But don’t fret, this is the highest “bonus” key achievable and it is the pinnacle of your achievements. However, this key expires three months after received.Skeleton Key Privileges: Those who possess this key are permitted to post in the OOC forum (specifically the "Freetalk/Booktalk/Writing/Tutoring (OOC Forum)"), the "Donkey/Iron/Bronze Status (Trainee)", the "Silver/Gold Status (Intermediate)", and the " Platinum/Skeleton Status (Advanced)". They may not post in the Crew Only subforum, however. In both the Trainee and Intermediate subforums, they may post in any preexisting roleplay so long as they can remain active in each, and are allowed create their own. They may also post in any preexisting roleplay in the Advanced subforum, and they are allowed to make their own. Additionally, they may participate in Guild Roleplay Events in the main forum. In essence, one who reaches this level has access to nearly everything aside from content of the Winged/Paw (Crew Only) subforum.Crew Member PhaseWinged/Pay Key Privileges: The holder(s) of this key may post in any forum, including the Crew Only forum. They are permitted to post in any number of roleplays in any subforum so long as they can handle all of them and remain active, and are allowed to create their own roleplay in any subforum. They will also hold moderator privileges and help The Staff out with managing the guild, and may be assigned specific areas of focus.

"Leveling Up"Here, in Silver Keys, when you fulfill the requirements for each position as you move along through our ranks, you essentially "level up" and gain a new key after sending an application explaining you have fulfilled the parameters. When one feels they are ready to level up, due to the point they have fulfilled the aforementioned guidelines (which are listed in the previous post), they must submit an application in this thread in order to receive their new key and set of privileges. Because most of the moderators will be busy or occupied, it is your job to inform them when you believe to be ready to shift to the next level. If you fail to inform us, however, you will not advance to the next level, nor will you gain the privileges of other levels. When applying here, you must fill out the following form, taking care to include all needed details well. Then, you must submit this form by posting it in this thread. After you do so, please wait for a moderator to acknowledge your application and either decline or accept it. While waiting to be approved or declined, please be patient. I understand that it may be unnerving or awkward to be forced to wait a period of time before realizing the status of your application, but we moderators do not have all the time in the world. To put things bluntly, I'll say: "We actually have lives outside of the online world, you know." Impatient ramblings of "Did you check my application yet!?" or anything along the lines of such will immediate cause the application to be denied and the applier to be forced to wait three days before reapplying as well. NOTE: If you do level up, all posts created while you were in your previous level are negated. In other words, they do not count towards the requirements, and you will have to start anew to refill the parameters. So, if you posted ten times in the Donkey Level, and then obtain the Iron Key, none of those ten posts will count for when you submit your application for gaining a Bronze Key.The form is as follows: Level Up Form Username: I will most obviously question your sanity if you do not realize what this is. Current Key: Which key do you have right now? Key Gained Upon Level-Up: Which key will you gain upon leveling up? URL(s) of the Thread(s) Your Posts Are Located: Here, you will place the URL(s) of the threads you have posted your posts (which should fulfill the requirements) in. This way, it is easier for us to track down your latest posts and figure out whether or not you fulfill the guidelines. Please include every single thread you may have posted in during your level. Why Do You Feel You Are Ready To Advance?: Please explain your reasoning for gaining the next key. Tell us how you are ready and prepared to gain the next key, and clarify how you have fulfilled each and every requirement. Please realize that the quality of your posts and your behavior are weighted as well. The form is not the only thing we check to make sure you are ready to gain a new key. The code for the form is as follows: Username: Current Key: Key Gained Upon Level-Up: URL(s) of the Thread(s) Your Posts Are Located: Why Do You Feel You Are Ready To Advance?: Thank you for trying, and good luck~ Warning: Please, do not cross us. If we decide to decline an application, that is at our jurisdiction and discretion, thank you very much. We will trust our own judgment over yours, no offenses intended. Therefore, please do not throw a childish fit or tantrum in any form or way if you find your application denied. Kindly ask us to elaborate regarding why we chose to do what did and we will do so. Failure to act rationally will result in fairly... unpleasant... consequences. We are not heartless (in fact, we are quite the opposite), but we will not tolerate utter rudeness and blatant lack of courtesy.
NOTE: One may NOT apply for Winged/Paw Key. The highest level they may apply to is Skeleton Key. However, for the Winged/Paw Key, the captains and vice-captain will personally hand-pick guild members to grant the privilege to.

This thread has officially been open for members to post their applications in. Please post once, and only once if you are submitting an application. Refrain from posting further to reduce spam to a minimum. Moderators, when approving or declining, may post in the thread telling their response to the application. Remember, fellow applicants, be patient. Patience is truly a virtue. You will likely do more than simply annoy people if you aren't. Only and only if two weeks have passed without an answer should you PM a moderator and ask why your application has received no response. Waiting for any amount of time lower than that will result in automatic rejection and declination. Thank you, and feel free to post now. ~ [ . . . O P E N . . . ] ~ You may now post.
