For those of you, unaware as to who Linebeck is, here is some info

Linebeck is a wayfairing sailor with an obsession for hunting treasure and is only concerned for his own wellbeing. He is the captain of the S.S. Linebeck, a steamboat, and is thought by the natives of Mercay Island to be a brave and courageous sailor. However, he also shows a cowardly, self-centered side to Link, Ciela, and Oshus. According to Oshus, Linebeck visited him for information on the Temple of the Ocean King and the rumored treasure hidden in the Ghost Ship shortly before the events of the game. Link follows Linebeck to the temple, where he finds Linebeck trapped and rescues him. Out of forced gratitude, Linebeck joins Link and assists his quest by letting Link ride the S.S. Linebeck. When Oshus eventually reveals that the Ghost Ship's treasure was a lie put out by Bellum, Linebeck initially quits and refuses to help Link any further, until Oshus offers to grant him one wish in return for his continued help. Linebeck attacks Bellum with the Phantom Sword when it captures Link and Tetra, and in return Bellum possesses him and transforms him into the Phantom-like monster, Bellumbeck. After Link defeats Bellum, Linebeck is freed, and when Oshus returns, all Linebeck asks for is for Oshus to return to him his ship. Link, Tetra, and Linebeck are then sent back to their world, and as the game ends, Linebeck's ship is seen steaming away.

Linebeck often takes credit for Link's heroic deeds, but usually refuses to leave the ship while Link explores an island, and hides in a crate whenever Jolene boards the ship. Linebeck frequently calls Link names, like "monkey", and is almost constantly arguing with Ciela.

Although his age is never stated, Jolene hints that he may well be over 100 years old.

He is not over 100 years old. scream
He is in his late 20's or early 30's. His actual age is never given, so it's not know. That's just my estimate.

No, he cant decide what era he wants to be in,or what age he wants to be. He should make up his mind. But i think if you get too old, you cant get a fairy as a companion. Like the windwaker, and Twilight Princess. I think that 's what is bothering him. He likes being older, but he wants a ball of fluff. sweatdrop
