could anyone give me a list of french singers that they like to listen to? Modern french music any kind. preferably singer's who don't slur their words and songs where you can actually clearly hear the lyrics.

Even though she's not exactly modern, I love listening to Édith Piaf. She's amazing. Also, you should watch the new-ish movie with Marion Colitard La Vie en Rose. It's excellent.;

Also, a wonderful bunch of songs in French are the music from the disney movies! If you liked the song in english, you'll probably like it french too!

Renaud , Jean-Jacques Goldman, Jacques Brel (même s'il était Belge!), Georges Brassens, Bénabar, Raphaël, Alain Souchon, Cali ...
