The opening to the tree hole is very small; a fledgling can barely slip into it and an adult can only hope to poke a head in and move it about. However, inside it is very spacious, though at the moment, various knick knacks are haphazardly strewn about, giving the interior a cozier feel.
Outside the tree hole is a thick branch which looks like it was recently broken. However, younger branches have grown from the original branch, and the their thick foliage obscures the tree hole from view in almost all directions.

"Whoot..." Myrrh tilted forwards on her branch to peer downwards, barely able to see the forest floor. There were some signs of life; a vague-looking shadow briefly scuttled by, and a smaller bird flitted from one branch to another. A rather large, brownish-black shape slunk past the corner of her eye. Of more concern than the fauna, however, was the sheer distance that separated her from it.
Longdrop, she noted uneasily, was looooooooooooooooooooooong.
Suddenly unsure, Myrrh shuffled her talons a little, preened her feathers nervously. After all, if she couldn't make it... well, at least she would have a long while to appreciate her last moments.
