Apro questo topic visto che non mi pare sia mai stato trattato un argomento che mi sta molto a cuore: il testo delle canzoni.
Ovviamente la parte più importante di un pezzo è la musica (altrimenti che canzone sarebbe?) ma, almeno per me, il testo ha importanza primaria nel trasformare quello che considero come un bel pezzo in un capolavoro. Non importa che sia "impegnato", ma deve fondersi alla perfezione con la musica, complementarla, sia come sonorità che nel "raccontarti" la stessa. Probabilmente proprio per lo stesso motivo sono un appassionato di musical e concept albums, storie raccontate in musica.
Argomenti:
- Quanto è importante per voi il testo nel valutare una canzone?
- Siete di quelli che cercano il significato dei testi in lingua straniera?
- Raccontate i testi che, per autocitarmi, fanno "vibrare le corde della vostra anima".

- Abbastanza, ma non fondamentale nel mio caso. Se non mi piace la musica una canzone può esprimere i concetti più belli del mondo ma non mi attira - Sì, più che altro perchè sono ciacciona sweatdrop ed anche per capirci qualcosina di più (peccato che solitamente le traduzioni sono fatte con i piedi... ninja ) - Saimon and Garfugnel - Sound of silence Titolo: The Sound Of Silence

1) Se è in italiano per me il testo è fondamentale, per le canzoni straniere mi abituo soprattutto alla musica e alla sonorità in genere, quindi anche se cerco sempre il testo tradotto non è comunque così incisivo da farmi cambiare idea sulla canzone. Diciamo che si può migliorare ma non peggiorare. 2) Come scritto sopra, si. 3) L'esigenza

1) Molto. A seconda dei cantanti riesco in genere a capire anche quelli in inglese (tra l'altro le canzoni in italiano non mi piacciono). In ogni caso, cerco i testi di quasi tutte le canzoni che mi piacciono
2) Come detto sopra, quasi sempre
3) come Lea, lista lunga... posterò ogni tanto ^^
inizio con Somebody dei Depeche Mode... mi piace troppo l'interpretazione vocale di Martin Gore (2° voce, nonchè compositore del gruppo)

-Per me il testo ricopre una posizione molto importante in una canzone. Certo, se sento una canzone con una musica divina e un testo mediocre può darsi che mi piaccia comunque, mentre raramente ne ascolto che abbiano una musica che proprio non mi piace...senz'altro comunque ciò che ogni song che sento dice, è la prima cosa che voglio sapere.
-Praticamente una delle prime cose che faccio, quando sento una canzone, è andare a ricercarne il testo smile e nei casi di quelli più criptici o metaforici, a volte li elaboro a modo mio, trovandoci traccie di risposte o pensieri che condivido e che un po' mi riguardano...(non so spiegarvi bene qui...><)
-C'è ne sono molte...ma una in particolare mi ha molto segnata...perchè, oltre ad essere la prima canzone che ho sentito di un gruppo che da 5 anni e passa è il mio preferito, per me ha un significato molto profondo.
Mi era stato passato questo testo, quando ancora non conoscevo quasi nulla di metal, da un amico in un periodo di grande crisi, e questa canzone mi ha molto aiutata smile

x me il testo conta quasi quanto la musica specie nelle canzoni ke mi toccano nel profondo. Alla 2° dico ovviamente si. sto pure capendo qlcs di tedesco grazie ai Rammstein! Dipende dal genere, dal mood e dallo scopo della canzone. Un singer/songwriter (cantautore) deve ovviamente metterci un minimo impegno nello scrivere i testi, mentre per una canzone che ha come scopo principale quello di "far muovere il corpo" cosa viene cantato mi interessa relativamente poco.
In genere riesco a capire grosso modo i testi in inglese, ma a volte devo leggermeli per capire alcuni passaggi/parole (in particolare quelli scritti in modo poetico e "astratto").

- Il testo è importante, ma non troppo... Diciamo che tra le mie canzoni preferite ci sono delle vere cretinate biggrin - In genere no, perché ho un grado di comprensione dell'inglese abbastanza buono - Ne potrei postare una caterva, ma scelgo "Blackout" dei Muse perché la amo semplicemente, e mi ha consolato in un periodo abbastanza deprimente della mia vita biggrin Don't kid yourself

dipende da che cosa ascolto, i testi se sono scritti bene sicuramente migliorano la canzone ma non trovo che siano un requisito fondamentale per riuscire a fare qualcosa di buono musicalmente.
