Once upon a time usually entails a happily ending story of life and love with little regret, and only one major complication. This is usually set with several different, and much smaller conflicts. Unfortunately this isn’t one of the stories you tell children on the verge of falling into the land of dreams. That is, unless you want to give them nightmares.

This story is one of blood, death, and pain. However, there are strong splashes of love and happiness mixed in with the regret. Join in for life, for if you land yourself on this front porch there is no other place for you to go. The people here become your family, and for some it will fail to matter. Blood splattered across faces, hands, walls, and pooled in corners of rooms. Words written in it dragged across the walls stained with time and other stories. But these other stories hold no relevance; at least not to the people you’re about to meet.

This story, one of many pulled together to create one by the fate, as perhaps a weaver pulls together thread to make a tapestry. Yes, a tapestry of stories lives of blood, deceit, and lies. This is about The Black Dragons a clan of misfit assassins; a group of people with problems ranging from rape to misfortune, from orphans to mothers, sisters to lovers.

And you, well, you get to see things through their eyes. You get to feel the blood rushing from the victim, you get to hear the last dieing words, see the last precious moments. Or you may simply cook, and clean wait for the others to return, watch them leave for their missions. You may have magic; you may be diseased, or possibly cursed. Whatever the case, you’re here are you not?

Back around fifty years ago, a group of people were formed called the Black Dragons. At first they were merely a group of friends taking swordsmanship classes. But that changed rather quickly. They became more skilled in other areas, and were soon labeled a gang. Then as they grew in number they became known to both the Black Market, and the Syndicate. They were identified by the tattoos of Black Dragons that all of them sported somewhere on the body, and thus they were given their name.

However the gang did not stay in happily thriving numbers after the first few times they were hired to kill people. There were those who disagreed the missions should continue. And this disagreement started the purges. The group had been thriving for nearly twenty years at this point, and was large, but within the first of three years nearly half of the people had been killed. Most of the original elders were killed off only five of seventeen remaining. Within the next two years the other four would perish leaving only the solitary Vicious Kale in charge of the entire group.

Vicious hadn’t been around from the very beginning, but all of his life has been exposed to the Black Dragons, and now it is his entire life. He was orphaned, and from birth lived in the church that kept the children who started the gang. Then when he came of age to start fighting he did. Vicious may be only human, but he is the only one with such tactual grace to lead the group with such precision. And lead the group he does. After the wars he organized the Black Dragons in order of an eight fashion.

The top eight deemed in each sector are the top fighters. They choose if they want to take a mission or not. The first two in command have the ability to make or break and decision. The leader has precedence over the second in command. Anything lower then the top eight are considered elites; still some of the best fighters around. There is also a partner system, his makes everything easier, and safer, for the members of the team.

Black Market
The same as it was on Earth, only on a universal scale. Illegal dealings, and shady business set all around the universe.

The Syndicate
Used to be the top dealings of gangsters. Nothing more then ruffians with high tech weapons they’re mostly scavengers, or thieves for hire; still a very powerful enemy because of sheer number.

Universal Academy
The top idealistic school for anyone; only the biggest education center of the universe! The brightest minds teach here, and the top experts make discoveries, and adjust lives from it.

Vicious was orphaned at a young age. He was one of the original people to become the Black Dragons, and has seen the entire history of the clan. During the wars he was the leader of the most prevalent faction. After the wars he was engaged to be married to a woman named Rosaline, but she was killed during a mission several years ago. Sense he has become much more of a steady leader, and the group had flourished from it.
Personality
Vicious is a very serious man by nature. He prefers to stay hold up in his office with paperwork, and is very methodical. He is calculating, and sometimes may seem slightly paranoid. This is unclear if it is true or not, however, he is very rational. He tends to be referred to as the father of the group, as he acts like a rather distant version of the parent personality.

Bio
Emerald was born in the Universal Academy Laboratory section C as a set of male female twins. However, there was no need for her brother, so he was spared the experimentation, and was given to another employee to take care of. She was not registered as having been born, unlike her brother, and was raised up told she had no parents at all. She was subject to several different experiments as a young toddler and at age three nearly died. This brush with death forced her body to create a separate form and personality for her demonic side. As experiments went on with this side, several smaller races, and numerous bodies of populace were killed off. After this she was subjected to an experiment containing the quick reproduction of blood matter. The only being that had this ability was used in a form of intercourse to try and transplant the ability into the other subjects. Emerald was the only surviving subject. At the age of thirteen she killed the original being, and escaped from the labs. She became a member of the Dragons, and not long after was returned to the labs forcedly. She once again escaped, this time with knowledge of her family, and her newborn baby sister. She returned to the Dragons once again, and has continued her life as such.
Personality
Emerald is slightly skittish of new contact, although she hides it well. She is not quick to form lasting relationship with anyone; however, she will take you into consideration very easily where you have time to form a lasting bond. She is not religious, nor is she entirely knowledgeable. She is very kept to herself, except around children, whom she is very fond of, or people she has grown to trust. She has an extreme fear of needles.

Valace was orphaned at a young age, and his older sister was left to support him and herself. Being of a large city, both ended up involved in major gang activity. This eventually killed his older sister, forcing Valace into depression. Walking home from a raid Valace was attacked by a rouge vampire, and turned brutally. He was used for several years as a toy that was passed around several times changing hands until ending back up with his master once again. He escaped this woman, and became a member of the Dragons.
Personality
Valace was depressed with the loss of his sister, and his humanity. He turned to extreme Catholicism, and his outstanding ability in art for comfort. Because of his need for blood Emerald comes in handy, and even though he feels terrible about it, this is one of the greatest convinces. He is extremely devoted to nearly everyone in the Dragons, especially Karri. He is also very loving with children although he does his best to avoid contact with them most of the time.

Karri was born into a world where it was impossible to love. She is literally the only known case of this race being capable of loving someone. She was assigned her spouse at birth as is normal, but as she got older found she was falling in love with him. She then made the mistake of asking her village elder. This got her beaten to near death, seeing as to how she has a blood disorder that she can not clot and cover a wound. She was dumped on the Dragons planet because it looked uninhabited, and was found and eventually recovered. She returned to her home planet, and killed almost everyone in her village except her would be spouse. She found herself unable to even harm him. She has been mute ever sense she was beaten and exiled.

Obviously very quiet and kept to herself; she minds after some of the chores around the base, and seems to enjoy Valace’s company along with Emey’s. She has started to learn how to use medical supplies appropriately sense she is prone to being severely injured by doing day-to-day activities.

Kailace grew up in a household run by an abusive mother, and a father that was never around. Him, and his four brothers and sisters (two of each) were left to fend for themselves. Eventually two of the siblings died, surprisingly the two were the ones that were left without bruises, or broken bones. Upon investigation it was found that the siblings had indeed been poisoned, and that the other surviving three had not. The remaining children were pulled from the home, at this point Kailace was already sixteen years of age and able to basically fend for himself. Once he aged enough to be on his own he was picked up by one of the other Sectors of the Black Dragons. He was eventually transferred into the main leading sector.

Kailace is fun loving, and makes most of life a game. He is caring, and having grown up with several siblings tends to treat people as if they were related to him. He’s a bit rough around the edges, and plays a lot in slightly course ways. He never intends to hurt anyone he isn’t hired to kill.

Siren grew up in a normal household with a twin sister, Shalina. When they got to be teenagers a group of dark occultist kidnapped Shalina to use as a subject of a curse. Siren followed hoping to save his sister, and ended up being cursed in her stead. He killed all of the people present except his sister, and she fled the scene fearing the carnage. Siren never returned home so she eventually set out to look for him, when she returned with her twin their parents shunned him recognizing the curse. The twins left, and eventually joined in the Dragons.

First off we’re going to have some bad guys come in later. So if you want to play one you can make a profile and send it to me. I’ll let you know f anything needs to be changed. But as it is we will be doing some getting into character posts. You’re free to change some things about the characters, and you may play more then one. Just please don’t ask to play both sides of a couple that would make this rather dull and uneventful. We’re starting out at the base. It is the only building on the planet that is in use, and it is in the middle of the woods. It used to be a large hotel, but it has been modified for the purposes of the group.
