I suggest the vampire chronicles by Anne Rice. Any of them are absolutely breathtaking, almost intoxicating to read.

But be warned......

These books contain mature content, seeing as they were written for adults and have very difficult idioms and literacy, I wouldn't suggest reading them till you are atleast 16.

I would rate the an 8.

I bought the first of the collection, but I have yet to read it because I'm working on Dracula.

I recommend Uglies by Scott Westerfeld. I'd probably classify it under scifi. It is set in a world where people have a surgery when they turn sixteen, which makes them beautiful. A few months before her birthday, Tally meets another ugly named Shay who doesn't want to become pretty. Right before Tally's surgery, Shay runs away. Tally is told that either she has to betray her friend or never become pretty.

This is actually the first of a series. I would give this book a 7 or 8 out of 10.

It's a very exciting read, but I was a little disappointed with the ending of both the book and the series.

I definatly would Reccomend What My mother Doesn't Know by Sonya Sones. It's great dramatic short story, though light reading does apply here its jam packed with problems anyone of any age group can Relate to and the main Character, Sophi (Saphire as she is reffered to) easily represents the troubles teenage girls must go through thsi day and agei promise it will keep you addicted straight through to the end and even then you'll be flipping through pages begging for more.
If not a ten then atleast a nine i've read it atleast 40 times.

The Lord of the Rings is awesome, if you don't mind reading long books definitely read this one. It's fantasy so don't read it if you don't like fantasy.

I rather enjoyed the book Tithe by Holly Black; it was a very good book set in a modern-day setting about the opposing sides of faeries. She also came out with Valiant (book 2 of the series) but it was more of a sidestory than a continuation, and I just found out that sometime last year she came out with Ironside, the third book in the series (which continues from book 1); I was very excited when I found that out since I didn't expect her to continue it! I just feel dumb now that I didn't hear about it and haven't read it yet ^_^;;

I do not read. Until, logically, the Harry Potter Series came out.

There is another series, though. Personally, I think the author was in my brain one night. Genius of a man.

The Looking Glass Wars by Frank Beddor

And it's sequel, Seeing Redd.

Even better, a graphic novel companion, Hatter M.

Shamelessly plugging this like there is no tomorrow.

Fantasy Just Declared War On Reality...

Book Name: Bottled up
Book Author: Jaye Murray
Genre: Teen?
Summary: Male, (phillip) must change his stoner attitude to stay in school, because if he is expelled the principal will call his abusive/alcoholic father. Phillip realises how much of an example he is for his little brother, Mikey. He changes his attitude to help with his younger brother, because he doesn't want his brother to turn out like he did.
Why you like the book: I relate to alot of the issues going on...
I live with an alcoholic/abusive step-father. I have younger sisters that I look out for. I am not a stoner though. I can't do that...because it makes my condition worse. So the doctors say.
Rating: 11.
