On a warm sunny morning, when the sun's rays were not too hot, Ribbons was eating some berries by her home on the bushes. They were incredibly delicious and juicy, but thankfully they were not squishy or they would of stained her paws and mouth and she'd have to lick off the sticky juice. The shy nikku ate the plump dark red berries and was having a wonderful time by herself. Later on perhaps she would go to the stream and have some water before taking a snooze. Of course there was the problem of someone trying to meet her. Nikkus were so interactive and bubbly. Why wasn't she herself? Ribbons knew the answer and said it out loud. "Shy Nikkus are happier when alone and when it is quiet. They do not socialize as much as regular normal nikkus and have been rarely spotted among the Island of Nikku." Taking a deep breath she gobbled up a whole bunch of berries and slowly let the juice run down her throat as she sat in thought of those words she had just said. Amazing Ribbons could talk to herself. She knew some shy nikkus were so scared of their own voice they on purposly made themselves mute and deaf. Crazy, Ribbons would always think to herself. Absolutly crazy. You could easily just block out the noise, or go far far into the deep of the forest where not too many venture because it is dark and scary.
Having said the words forest, the female shy nikku got up onto all four and crept back into her log. She sighed knowing that she had been out there far too long for her own comfort. Ribbons lay near the back trying to make her body less uncomfortable. Inside the log, it was dark but cozy and Ribbons found it a suitable place for a home. Sniffing, she could smell her breath and it smelt like berries. As always....
