umm.. the story takes place in Alabama back in the 1930's and deals with racial prejudice between the towns people. the story is also told from the eyes of the little girl in the story. her name is Scout. well, that's her nickname. she's got a brother named Jem and their father is Atticus Fitch. he's a lawyer who agrees to defend this one black man who is accused of raping a white woman. and umm... that's pretty much how the story goes.

it's a good book. you might like it more once you've read it or started reading it.

I've never read it. Everyone I talk to about it enjoyed it though. If I ever get my hands on a copy I'll definatly read it..it sounds really good
