There one long patch of grass to catch some neat Pokemon and you might find that after beating all of the trainers on this route, your money should increase greatly! -Obtain TM45 Attract on ground
-Continue to Route 25

Yue decided to take a break while he waited for Maya. He saw a house in the distance, but decided to sit down in a clearing under a tree.

Maya checked the Oddish and found it to be a female. She looked at it and for some reason felt inclined to name it Belle, so she did. She fed her Rare Candy to the newly caught Oddish and taught it Bullet Seed, as well. She briefly considered leveling it up, but decided against it in the end. She left to go find Yue and soon found him napping underneath the shade of a large tree. She woke him and they went off along Nugget Bridge for the second time to get back to Cerulean City.

Belle forgot Poisonpowder and learned Bullet Seed!

First Yue sent out his Abra. He'd work on leveling Abra up for a while first. He wandered through the grass looking for wild Pokemon. Eventually he came across a small group of Oddish. Yue thought it'd be a good challenge to take them on at once. Abra's speed was quite impressive as it darted around knocking the small Oddish around hitting them, in an attempt to steal any items they held. It seemed Abra wasn't very good at getting items from them, but he did some damage. They all soon fainted and Yue congratulated his Pokemon on the win. That was about 6 Oddish, he assumed. If he could find another small group of Pokemon like that, they'd be set he said sarcastically, not expecting to find one. But luckily he actually found another group like that. This time it was a group of Bellsprout. Abra used the same strategy and knocked around the Bellsprout, taking care of them pretty quickly. It was then that Yue realized that the Pokemon were probably huddled in groups because they were lower levels. That explained it and weirdly made him feel sort of bad, but it was still rather convenient for them.

Maya wandered off on her own, to find some Pokemon to pit her own up against. She soon found a myriad of low-level Pokemon, it was like they were swarming today. They picked a good day to train. Battle after battle, all of her Pokemon showing valiant effort. Winning match after match, no matter what damage they took. The battles went like this: Muddle vs. Abra; Muddle vs. Pidgey; Belle vs. Metapod; Chuuni vs. Bellsprout x4; Belle vs. Kakuna; Muddle vs. Weedle x10; Belle vs. Metapod; Belle vs. Caterpie; Belle vs. Oddish; Chuuni vs. Oddish x3; Belle vs. Bellsprout; Chuuni vs. Bellsprout x6; Belle vs. Oddish x6; Muddle vs. Caterpie x5; and Belle vs. Pidgey. Maya figured that was enough for Chuuni and Muddle. She used her last Potion on Belle so they could get a few more battles in.

Maya scouted the battle out carefully and finally found a group of about 4 weak Caterpie that Belle took out with ease with her Acid attacks.

Yue sent out his Zubat and Paras now to get some leveling up. Zubat took on a group of 6 Oddish and Paras a group of six Bellsprout. With their Leech Attacks, both groups of grass Pokemon didn't stand a chance.

Next, Yue figured he'd give his Mankey a shot at gaining some levels. Yue gasped loudly as he saw a very large group of Caterpie. It must've had around fourteen or so Pokemon in it. Mankey went in, guns a-blazing as he used his new move, Mega Punch to take down everyone of those bug-type Pokemon. After witnessing Mankey run through all of those Pokemon, Yue felt he should give Beldum a chance to "Take Down" some Pokemon.

He sent his Beldum out, and Yue went out looking for another large group, but couldn't find any. So Yue just had to do individual battles, each one Beldum emerged victorious after finish the Pokemon off with it's powerful Take Down attack. He battled a: Pidgey, x3 Oddish, x2 Bellsprout, Abra, Weedle, Caterpie x4, Kakuna and a Metapod. Yue stopped to take a breather when at that moment his Pokemon started glowing. Yue yipped with excitement as he knew what was coming. The Pokemon morphed shape and Yue hugged and congratulated his Pokemon on evolving into Metang.

Yue and Maya decided to sit and rest below the same large tree Yue had napped under previously. They once again spotted the old house off on Route 25. It was a pretty big house. They'd have to stop by and see who lived their sometime before they left Cerulean City, but for now, they were going to rest after their day of training. They were pretty confident their Pokemon were ready to face the gym now.

So with that, they headed on their way back to Cerulean City.

Yue would have to steer clear of too many Bellsprout, Oddish, Kakuna and Weedle. He didn't want any status ailments, after all. And he noticed that all the times his Pokemon battled against grass Pokemon, they'd come out drowsy. He was very lucky to not have his Pokemon just fall out completely.

But luckily there were large numbers of Caterpie, Pidgey, and Metapod to battle.

He'd first give his Abra some time on the battle field. They went out in search for wild Pokemon in the grassy areas, traveling close to the area with trees. Yue soon found an extremely large flock of wild Pidgey.

Yue sent out his Abra who took a lot of damage and dealt a lot of damage back. As the battle progressed, the multitude of Pidgey became too much for Abra's mere Speed and Thief attack to keep up with. Yue rushed over to his Abra and used two Super Potions on it.

Abra, now rejuvenated by the two healing items got back into the game and after taking down around nine more Pidgeys was again in no condition to battle. Yue jumped in front of a Pidgey as it tried to use Tackle attack to finish Abra off. As the Pidgey neared Yue, he started to wince and missed Abra's glowing transformation. He morphed into Kadabra, then stopped the attack with Confusion. Yue opened his eyes and yipped with excitement as he hugged his Kadabra. He was quite thankful that the evolution happened when it did.

He called back his Kadabra back to it's pokeball and sent out his Zubat.

Yue's Zubat dealt with the Pigeys by using Bite mostly, and swooping down with a Wing Attack only occasionally. After taking out a number of Pidgeys, Zubat returned to Yue and he used 3 Super Potions on the Pokemon. Zubat returned to take out more Pidgeys.

Zubat continued it's barrage of Bites and Wing Attacks, and they seemed to be pretty effective for the most part. But a lone Pidgey came from behind and knocked Zubat pretty hard with a strong Tackle attack. The Zubat spiraled for the ground and Yue cried out to it. This battle was taking a toll on both he and his Pokemon. But as long as they had eachother they'd get through it.

As Yue cried out to his Zubat, it regained conciousness and began to rise, glowing and hitting the Pidgey with a powerful Wing Attack. As the Zubat stopped glowing it revealed that the Pokemon had evolved into a Golbat.
He congratulated his newly evolved Golbat and withdrew it to it's pokeball and sent out his Paras.

Paras struggled the most with the Pidgeys, but probably got the most profit by enduring. It's Spore attack came in handy, putting all the Pidgeys that got near to sleep, though a lot of them still landed attacks. Paras handled the rest of it with Leech Life.

Paras began using the same strategy as before, putting as many Pidgey to sleep as possible then finishing them off with Leech Life. This worked for a while longer, but the group of Pidgey only seemed to get larger, and they seemed to be getting angrier. Yue would have to leave soon.

Yue thought he'd let Paras level up just a bit more before he left.
The Paras followed the exact same strategy as before, but one hit him hard with a peck attack as he used Spore. It didn't seem like Paras could stand much more of this. It's Leech Life seemed to progressively get less and less effective. Just as Yue was about to call it a day for now, his Paras started glowing. Yue knew what was coming.

As the glowing stopped, a Parasect was in Paras' place. He was very thankful that he got three of his Pokemon to evolve in one training session. It seemed he knew his Pokemon's limitations well.

Yue's Mankey was up next. It's type match-up wasn't very good, either, but it's Rock Tomb once again gave it an upper hand against the bird-type Pokemon. This round went by fast, as both parties dealt super-effective damage. Nearly as soon as Yue sent Mankey out of his ball, he re-called him. This just wasn't his time to train.

Yue then thought he'd give his Metang a run before he headed back to the Pokemon Center. The Pidgey were getting to irritated anyways. He sent out his Metang, who's metal exterior wasn't affected much by any of Pidgey's attacks. Metang repeatedly used Metal Claw and Confusion to weaken the attacking Pokemon until it's health was too low, then it came returning to Yue, bringing a flock of Pidgey with it. Yue quickly recalled his Metang to it's ball and sent out Kadabra.

Yue figured it was about time he headed back to Cerulean City to heal his Pokemon and stock up on some more items, before the wild Pidgeys got too angry. He worriedly latched on to his newly evolved Kadabra and it used Teleport.

Kadabra teleported Yue and company back to the last Pokemon Center.

He had Metang use Metal Claw again and then threw a second pokéball and hoped that this time it'd catch the Abra. He didn't really have need for two Abra. Especially since he wasn't sure that he'd have any TMs to teach it, but Abra are rare and he was sure that someone out there would want one.

The ball again hit the Abra and began to shake . . . and this time Metang's Metal Claw had knocked all of the energy out of the Abra as the ball immediately dinged indicating that Yue had caught the Abra.

Right then, a wild Pidgey swooped down and Metang quickly tossed it aside using Confusion. Yue thought that it'd be wisest to get out of this place as he sent out his Kadabra and had it use Teleport and they were warped back to the nearest Pokémon Center.

Lily watched as Wynter suburbly handled the trainer with a double battle. She had seen only one of these in her life, and it was her brother's battle. Soon Wynter's trainer was out of Pokemon, and she recieved the prize money. Lily smiled as she met up with her after the battle. It wasn't soon after that another trainer appeared.

"My turn!" Lily said, stepping forward. She released Peppers and he stood, awaiting the opponent's first Pokemon to appear. Luckily, it was a Pidgey. Peppers easily defeated it with super-effective Thundershock attacks.

The trainer now sent out an Oddish. Now that Peppers knew Quick Attack, he used that, and after a pretty grueling battle of all those powders spewing out of the Oddish. These are pretty strong Pokemon, Lily thought. I might want one. Peppers made the Oddish faint, and now the opponent trainer sent out a Bellsprout. The Pikachu defeated it also the same way; Quick Attacks.

"Boo hoo!" The trainer wrung her fists over her eyes to pantomime crying. She dropped a sack of money and ran off, fainted Pokemon dangling from her arms.

Lily picked up the money and used one Potion on Peppers.

"Oh is it my turn now?" Lily asked. She was spacing out just for the teensiest of moments, but she guessed it turned out to be a whole battle. She hastily stepped forward and took out a Pokeball. Peppers, again, as you would imagine. She was thinking to put some of her other Pokemon in the PC; some being Malik and Shoka. She needed to spend a little quality time with her new Pokemon. Once we get back to Cerulean... She wrapped up her thoughts then released Peppers out of his Pokeball.

"Oh, this'll be a walk in the park." The trainer Lily was battling said. He sent out a NidoranM, then a NidoranF. "You battle this one first," he said, pointing to the purple one. "Then this one." He pointed to the light blue one, like Lily's Sapphire. "Okay Nidoran, use Double Kick!" He said.

"Dodge and then use Quick Attack then Thundershock!" Lily said. Peppers sprinted out of the way of the incoming kick with a little snap. Then he used Quick Attack, Thundershock, Quick Attack, Thundershock, and the Nidoran had fainted.

"Step up to that Pikachu, Nidoran!" He said, pointing to the girl Nidoran now. Peppers defeated this one as easily as he did with the other one, and the boy ran out of Pokemon. "Bah, who needs ya." He waved a hand nonchalantly and dropped prize money.

Lily and Wynter walked on after Wynter's battle. It was the end of the bridge now, but only one trainer was blocking the way, thankfully.

"Hurry up! I have a Pokemon Fan Club meeting to get to." He sent out an Ekans, just like the one Wynter had used in her last battle. Lily sent out Peppers once again.

"Peppers, use Quick Attack, then Thundershock once, then finish it off with more Quick Attacks." Peppers sped forward and smashed into the Ekans, taking it by surprise. He jumped back and used Thundershock in the air, also taking it by surprise. It shot out a Poison Sting from its fangs, and hit the Pikachu in the face. It shocked it off from the electricity in its cheeks, then bolted forward to hit the Ekans. The move made it faint.

"Aiyaiyai! Go Zubat!" A Zubat appeared, and the battle was once again Quick Attacks from Peppers, and Leech Lifes from Zubat. The battle was soon over. "GRAR! I guess I give you this prize money, this TM, and a Nugget for completing the bridge. And hey, anyone who participates in at least two battles on this bridge gets a Nugget too. So I guess that means you?" He handed the items to Lily, then took out another Nugget from a bag on the ground and reached his hand out to drop it in Wynter's hand. "You do want one, right?"
