Somewhere far off, two figures sat silhouetted by the gradual morning illumination.
"It really is a shame..." A clear voice emanated softly.
"Yes. Lycaon could have really been great, but instead, he had to choose power over self control. Now we're living in his shadow... How quaint." There was a touch of mild sarcasm in his tone, and he sighed, exasperated.
"Now you know as well as I do, we can't fight it. There's too many pieces of the puzzle missing, and you and I are but two pieces."
"I'm aware," The cynically negative voice agreed.
"But I heard something recently..." amber eyes were narrowed in confusion.
"What?" Interest was provoked in the fellow's tone.
"I'm not sure if it's real, you know how hard it is to get proper information from anywhere to this dump of a once-efficient Malificoria." He stole a glance to the rubble encrusted, having bittersweet nostalgia on the way it used to be compared to the shoddy state is was now.
"But they say that the rebels... the ones that got away, they actually banned together..." A flicker arose in his dull pupils. Could it possibly have been hope?
"So maybe they do have a chance... who knows." The other replied somberly, straightening up with spine erect.
"Well then, let's not waste any more time. They'll be angry with us if we don't keep our posts."
The other yawned languidly easing off his paws and stepping lightly back to this area to keep guard.
And so the two wolves' remained vigilant, both filled with slight wisps of hope and wishing for the Rebellers to come soon, to free them of King Lycaon's maddened rule...
Welcome to Animalia.
History
Over time, many of the citizens of Animalia (also known as "Chordaytia for having the ability to morph into several animals) were sick and tired of the king's selfish rule. Some banned together to rebel and riot, but most stood down, afraid for their lives.
Some of the rioters were put to death, most were exiled and forced to live on Earth. The king didn't think twice before banishing them, so he didn't notice that they were still able to teleport to Animalia.
Another vital fact that he overlooked was that, when they teleported or morphed, they would easily be seen by any human.
Pretty soon, one of his advisers noticed this and told him immediately. The king demanded that they be pursued and killed.
By the time all of them were wiped out by the king's soldiers, it was too late.
The exiled chordaytians were anticipating this, and in advance, they befriended but one person and one person only, and gifted them with the power to morph; the power of chordaytia.
In addition, they each gave the humans a piece of jewelry or a garment or trinket of some sort, that allows the bearer to teleport effortlessly to the Kingdom of Animalia...
You look at the little trinket that you now wear.
Indeed, you were one of the very few that were chosen, you understand the king's cruelty and the struggle it is and will be to take him down. You also learn from the exiled that war now rages in Animalia, and you must put a stop to it.
Only one thing rages in your mind as you feel the glow of the trinket that envelopes you to Animalia; Avenge the exiled, kill the king...

The Kingdom of Animalia
The hidden land of Animalia, is a haven to chordaytians in some places, and a living heck in some others. Animalia is shaped in an almost completely circular patch of land. It is, although a bit lopsided and irregular.
The island, if anyone in the form of an air creature, would look aerially, would see that it is big, but not very and looking over the circular formation one would see that everywhere beyond the borders of the land, there would only be barren land. Many chordaytians have tried venturing around the border and going into the barren lands afar, none are ever heard of again.
Animalia is divided up into many regions and sections.
In the west; Rythia (Rythian Desert)
Rythia is a long desert that stretches over in the west. It has scarcely any water (except underground) and not much but barren landscape. A couple elf owls, scorpions, snakes, lizards, and many other desert animals live in this habitat.
*There are also Chordaytians posing as animals there, and most who come here posing a threat to the king are killed for most of the Chordaytians hidden are to the king.
In the east; Syth'or (Syth'oran Forest)
Syth'or is a collection of forest that is lain through the east. Surprisingly, half of it is woodland, while the other half is rain forest.
In the woodland section, there are many streams, lakes, rivers, hills, and of course, trees!
Deer, squirrels, voles, shrews, wren and many other woodland animals live in this habitat.
In the rain forest, there are just as much water, in fact, much more.
There are many trees, vines, and many bizarre and unique plants.
Tapirs, macaws, monkeys, lizards, snakes, and many other rain forest animals live in this habitat.

In the north; P'vinos (P'vinosith Savanna)
P'vinos is a lengthy place of land that is placed in the north and utmost north of Animalia. It's all savanna and is covered with dry, tall grasses, termite mounds, and a couple of trees such as acacia where there are marshes.
This place also is home to marshland and marshland creatures. in the more northern regions of P'vinos.
There are many swamps also.
Zebras, lions, vultures, meerkats, and many other savanna creatures live in the savanna habitat.
Alligators, frogs, piranhas, and many other marshland creatures live in the marsh and swamp.

In the south; Kaitaine (Kaitaine Mountains)
Kaitaine is a mountainous landscape placed throughout the south. For miles and miles around, all you can see in the south is peaks and snow-capped mountaintops. Some hidden streams and valleys can be found here.
Trees and woods are plentiful, and most are evergreen.
Marmots, foxes, leopards, martens, goats, pumas, ibex, and many other mountain creatures live in this mountainous habitat.
Salmon, minnow, water voles, kingfishers, dragonfly, and many other kinds of river-resides can be found near or in the rivers and streams.

In the middle; Malificoria (King's Threshold)
Right smack in the middle, there is Malificoria, a very small vicinity where the king resides and gives all of his commands from. It sticks up in Animalia, for where everywhere else there are no buildings or structures, in Malificoria there is. The king resides in a massive "castle" and many of his trustworthy guards protect him from the outside.
Malificoria is guarded and cannot be tresspassed from the outside, nor can be broken from the inside.
There are marketplaces, stalls, and crude buildings that most chordaytians sleep in. It seems to be cloudy or dark in Malificoria most of the time, for the massive and towering building of obsidian blocks out most of the sunlight during the daytime.
The Chordaytians in Malificoria do not rebel or fight. In return, the king promises them safety in the simple little huts and away from the war and the blood and violence. They don't fight back. The ones who want to fight against the king don't. They are simply too scattered and scared to.
~Malificoria is is small, Chordaytians can move from the north to the south, the east to the west, etc. without running into Malificoria.
In the northwest and southeast; Polarai (Polarai Tundra)
These sections of tundra spread only in the northeast and the southeast, there is saltwater, much ice, and scarcely any plants at all.
Arctic foxes, seals, ptarmigans, skuas, penguins, caribou, and many other tundra animals live in this habitat.

In the northeast and southwest; Vid'lap, Connaiwei, Ptaris, Frigatorin (Vid'Lap (northeast islands), Connaiwei (southwest islands), Ptaris (northeast ocean), Frigatorin (southwest ocean) )
In the northeast and southwest there are oceans. The Ptaris Ocean and the Frigatorin Ocean. The odd thing about the oceans are that they are not the size of oceans, but instead very large looking lakes. They are of course, still oceans, yet smaller than.
Octopus, whales, dolphins, turtles, jellyfish, butterfly fish, urchins, and many others aquatic animals and fish are in these oceans.
In the oceans there are chains of islands. The Vid'lap Islands and the Connaiwei Islands. They are islands scattered closely together on the Ptaris and the Frigatorin.
Crabs, curlews, starfish, mussels, puffin, albatross, and many more island animals live in this habitat.

Nobody bothers to wonder how all these habitats, climates, and geographical features work so perfectly together with chaos. Every Chordaytian already knows the answer; magic.
