eek OH MY GOD there were 4 TORNADOES thats were near me, i live in racine and there were 3 in kenosha (south of us) and 1 in sturtavent (west of us) the ones in kenosha were so bad they cause tons of damage, one store in my mall their manager lost her home cause the tornado took it. cry
my house and the mall where i was WORKING AT THE TIME were fine, a tornado went over us but never touched ground!!!! surprised thank god!! 30 min after i get to work there are the tornadoes eek and the mall manager is an idiot and kept the mall open, there were 2 times i thought i had to close my store but i had to stay till normal close time stare but everything is ok!

i have recurring dreams about tornadoes...i hate tornadoes... sad glad youre ok tho...

i was kinda mad cause i wasnt sure what to do if i stay open or close the store, cause with a tornado people dont go shopping, but the stupid mall said i have to stay open.
i more pissed off that i got my hours cut again!!!!!!!! its now 18 hours this week crying crying crying crying crying crying crying crying crying crying i sooooooooooooooooooooo need a new job, these owners of my mrs fields are screwing me over big time, and i cant take it any more. crying

I'm glad you're ok too...I can't believe they didn't let you all go home! What kind of thing is that to do to someone?!?
And I defineatly think you should loof for another job if they are messing you about this badly. It doesn't seem like the job is worth all the hassle. Have you been looking for somehting else?

im trying now to look for a different job, this is just too much hassle to work for only 18 hours a week. my paycheck might just be above $200.

oh im so sorry... thats kinda like hurricanes here.. .cause they could tell us to evacuate but until they do you have to stay at work.. so that means that its hard to pack anything or have a plan

That's crazy! About not being able to go home when there's hurricanes or tornados! Jeeeeze.

i just get to work and there are the storms, and i find out later that the tornado in racine never touched ground, so we were safe, it was kenosha that got hit the hardest. and the thing that confused me the most was that the mall never realled cared about our safety, and there was also theis one girl that was in a panic, and she didnt need to be. i was not scared, just confused, the mall is lots of brick i was as safe as i could be if it was a really bad tornado.
and i just filled out a few applications, but with the seaonal help ending, i doubt ill be getting a job soon crying

A lot of places will be loosing staff because they're going back to school so just keep applying and you'll be fine.

target told me they are hiring atm, they hire more for back to school, which is in 6 months confused
