Damn, I wish I knew what you even DID in pikmin, (I don't own the game)
What is it about?
You basically are on a mission to collect different treasures. In Pikmin 1, you have to because they belong to your ship and are trying to get back to your home planet. In Pikmin 2, you are doing it to make the company that you work for have more money, but you have a partner in that one (Louie, but he and Olmar sorta pull a Mario and Luigi thing in being diffferent colors, blue, and opposite body types).
Pikmin 1 was harder in that you had 30 of the games days to get all of the ship parts that you were missing (which involves searching, solving puzzles, fighting enemies and bosses, all quite difficult involving much strategy).
Pikmin 2 you didn't have a time limit, but the treasures were scattered more and it was harder in a boss/enemy term.
Pikmin are the creatures that you see with the leaf on their head, which can turn into a bulb and then into a flower if they eat nectur or you let them stay in the ground from their "onion".
