((Alright. I am new in this guild, so please let me know if I break any rules I missed while reading them in the main forum...))
For thousands of years, the mages have ruled. Dominating the "lesser folk" like the farmers and the merchants and such, they hold sway over the populace with a hand harder than iron. It is rumored that the mages gain their power from demonic lords, but they deny these claims. Legend has it that hundreds of years ago, a great leader among the peasants rose up and lead a rebellion. They say he almost won too. Unfortunately, the mages have spies everywhere, and when they hear these myths, they call them just that: myth. Pure utter nonsense concocted by troublemakers. And so life goes on.
However, it is said that great hero will come again. He shall be born on an uncertain day to uncertain parents, but he shall be blessed by the gods, and that sign shall physically manifest itself somehow...
Rules: Standard for the guild. You may be a mage or a peasant, good or bad. Here's a skeleton for the stats: Name: Class(blacksmith, archmage, etc...): Age: Race: Powers(if mage): Good/Evil: Bio(optional): Looks(optional. You can just use a picture):
Although you can customize one.
Name: Butterwrists Tumbleburrow Class(blacksmith, archmage, etc...): Thief (Alias is a baker) Age: 29 Race: Halfling Good/Evil: Good Bio(optional): A noblehearted trtickster, Butterwrists got his name from his ability to wriggle free from almost any manacles(handcuffs). He uses his skills to irritate the mages and amuse the people. He almost seems to enjoy getting caught, believing it to be an advertisement of his prowess, as he usually manages to escape from the guards before they get to the prison. looks(optional): 3 feet high, with almond shaped eyes that are always sparkling and are colored a light shade of brown. His hair is black and curly(he keeps it short), and his skin pale. He is usually seen laughing or smiling, and he garbs himself in simple brown leather clothes.
Name: Archmage Eldrichstar Class(blacksmith, archmage, etc...): Archmage Age: 63 Race: Human Powers(if mage): Controls elements, summons demons, can influence weaker minds to perform certain actions Good/Evil: Evil Bio(optional): Showing great power in even his youth(it is rumored that he has demonic blood from his ancestors), Eldrichstar quickly rose in the ranks of the mages, both through promotion and successful duels. A ruthless archmage, he enjoys watching peasants beg for, well, just about anything. Looks(optional): Old, but with a great aura of power almost seeming the light up(or darken) the room around him. He has a hint of exoticness about him, as though there was elf blood in him, but he claims he can trace his human ancestors over a thousand years back.

Butterwrists was in a tight spot again. Even he had to admit things looked grim.It had started off as a routine raid of the magic school. Then things went wrong. It was almost as though they planned this, blocking up the sewer oh so conveniently for repairs, then saying that all windows were somehow in dire need of securing with iron bars, and finally blocking up the skylight in the library because of the "glare". Nope, they planned it all. They knew his plans, his escape routes. And worse: They had dogs. Not cute little puppies, but huge machines of detection that could sniff out a thief in minutes flat. Butterwrists hated dogs. Especially big ones. And these were catching up to him, hidden in the kitchens, curled up tight in one of the pots. Nope, things were not to bright at the moment...
