I found a fun pattern on the Sculpy website that I thought I'd give the old college try. I'm hoping to make a few more of these with different elemental design over the next week or two, but for now here's a grainy pic of the first.
Constructive crit welcome!
DA of this and my other art found here.

This is wonderful! I love how detailed you got on the vines. How long did it take you to make?

Good job! I like the way the vines continue from the vessel to the cap smile

Thanks! I enjoyed it so much I'm presently making another. The first one took me about 3 hours, but that's mostly because it had to be fired 5 or 6 times. That's also why it came out so dark. I'll post the pics of the new one as soon as it's finished.

Here's vessel #2. It's about half the width of the first one and the lid and background are actually blue (my evil demonic camera strikes again).
This one took about two hours and 4 firings.

Nice job on the vessels! I have Kato's book (I think it is that one) that has polymer vessel instructions in it. I love the way they look and yours turned out very well constructed. I wish I was able to use the polymers sometimes because of their versatility and the colors. It makes some things much easier if you can use polymer clay for a sculpt. Again, nice job!

Ooh, they're beautiful! Very unique pieces. Like everyone else I love the vines on the first one. Is it difficult to get the 'lid' to fit nicely?

Thanks! The pattern I used had a way of making the lid that made it fit well, even though the process of making the lid was a little difficult.
