Hey everyone, once the guild gets a few more members we should focus on making the guild better, and more exciting. Feel free to post new threads, post in thread that were already created, etc. What I want in this particular thread, is for ideas to make the thread better. If you have an idea that you think will be great, like a contest idea etc. then let me know by posting here! blaugh

I think it would really neat if we could all get together in the Towns and have a live chat about the books! It might be difficult to find a time to suit everyone, given the different time zones, but I think it would be a great chance for us to get to know each other outside the Guild (even the Guild PWNs!).

Oh, that's a good idea. Too bad my computer doesn't support Towns at the moment. D:
We could do an art contest, or at least start a design thread where people could draw what everyone looks like to them. I would be very happy at seeing others' designs, and I'm sure it would be a fun activity!

I'm leaning towards starting an art contest. I'm toying with the idea of adding a theme too. For example, an art contest about a couple from the books, or a scene from the books. For the first contest it will probably be a free choice.
But it all depends on if I get the reward system smoothed out. Head over the Guild Mule announcement for more on that. 3nodding (don't forget to give me your thoughts and ideas while you're there.)

As I mentioned in the newsletter, the guild is in some financial problems. The gold is running low, so the possibility of contests and additions happening soon aren't likely. I mentioned that donating to the guild was a good way to keep up, which it is. But I've also been toying the idea of starting a shop.
I'm taking Digital Graphic Design class, so I know quite a few things about making banners and other graphics. I just wanted to run the idea by you first. When I first open the shop I'm probably split earnings 50/50. It's going to be more of a personal project for me, but I wanted to know if you thought that it would be a good idea for earning gold for the guild. Who knows, it might even bring in more possible members.
So, what do you think?
