Behold, we bring you our own new word of post-prayer/meditation affirmation:
Sa'lad (saw-lawd)
Chuck was no carnivore...so what better way to acknowledge it?
Sa'lad.

Sa'lad!
What is interesting is that in Spanish, Salud, means health and is often used as a toast or to say "bless you" (particularly when you sneeze). It's what came to mind when I saw Sa'lad.

Combat Chuckles Dressing....ranch to be exact. Ranch is the best! Especially when it's mixed with Hacienda salsa and chips. A-H-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Now I want salad and ranch... Sa'lad!!!

Hee, I like the Spanish connection. And don't forget the French -- "Salut!" "sahw-loo" is an informal greeting. I bet there's something in the Latin. -holds in geeky urge to look it all up-
Sa'lad!

Salve! - That is, sahl-way. Or salvete, if you're talking to more than one person wink (Sahl-way-tay.)

I knew I recognized the word from somewhere, and I was pretty sure it was Arabic. After quite a while searching, I finally found it!
Salat or Salaat (since it is Arabic the transliteration of the sylable is nondefinitive so it can be spelled multiple ways, like Qu'ran and Koran; Muslim or Moslem) and it is the second pillar of Islam, Prayer! (more particularly, the practice of daily prayer)
I like.
Sa'lad!
