Snake grabs the rope ladder the helicopter drops and takes out his grenade launcher!

So, the thing to do is shoot, right?

You control the targeting reticule and press the attack button to fire grenades one at a time. There are six rounds, and when you run out...

He loads a new clip? How can that be?

It ends when you shoot 12 rounds or run out of time. Snake then climbs back up to return to battle.

Yep. He makes his exit.

It’s probably better to just shoot all your rounds rather than run out of time leaving ammo behind...but if you just shoot indiscriminately, your shots may be dodged.

When there are two or more enemies, it might be a good idea to hit one as he is being attacked by the other, or something along those lines.

I'd have to agree partially with this statement... No, not about the wedgie, the other one. I was disappointed that it wasn't something more spectacular, like Giga Bowser or Mario's Super Haduken. Then I realized that it's actually better than those. This is because you aren't left vulnerable on screen while you do it. There is nothing your opponent can do while you fire away at them. I'm wondering how fast they'll fire and if any sort of explosion from a missed shot will still result in damage...

EDIT: Oh, and the first time I see this activated I'm going to scream out "IT'S A BIRD, NO! IT'S A PLANE! NO! IT'S A GUY IN A REALLY TIGHT RUBBER SUIT JUMPING REALLY REALLY HIGH!! [/capslock]

Personally, I think it's pretty neat. I want to be able to shoot Grenades at my opponents with safety 3nodding This seems more useful when there at least 3 players.

...Has no escape.

Ehh, Snake. Find some looser pants. You're showing off something children shouldn't see. =P That's my only problem with Snake, his suit is too dang tight.

Now to the FS. I think it's actually pretty cool. It gives me another reason to play as Snake. I'd play as him anyway just so I'd have a little experience with every fighter. I wonder how powerful those grenades are since he can fire no more than 12 of them.

This seem pretty sweet... It'll come in handy during team battles. One person keeps the target in place while Snake fires.

I think it would do better with one player, because you can focas on that one and do a lot of damage(though it might be able to dodge them depending on how slow it goes).

It is mediocre... could they not have given him a Stinger Missile Launcher instead? I have played through Metal Gear Solid 1 and 2, and I never liked the grenade launcher. He and Raiden took down a Hind D and a Harrier 2 with Stingers.

As for what Talwar said about him being invulnerable... most of the characters are invulnerable during their final smashes.

Edit: I played through MGS3, now. He has an RPG-7 in 3, but it's still not the same as the Final Smash.

I said MOST characters. MOST. And Bowser is pretty much invulnerable anyway since he doesn't flinch.

its kind of bittersweet. It depends on how fast the granades fly and how much damage they do.

He could have used a Metal Gear like in the trailer of MGS4 (even though they both appear in Shadow Moses) or just used a Stinger Missile Launcher, but noooooooo, they had to give him a Grenade Launcher. There isn't even a weapon in MGS called "Grenade Launcher". The fact that he's in a helicopter is pretty cool, though. Reminds me of the Harrier 2 fight in MGS2.
